Ben Wobker is an extraordinarily gifted physical therapist and an amazingly compassionate human being. I was referred to Ben at Lake Washington PT for neck pain and headaches following a car crash, and he immediately figured out what was causing the headaches and what we could work on in therapy—massage, exercises, stretches, etc—to start bringing my pain level down and help me function better at work and school. The great thing? Everything he does with you in therapy translates to a set of exercises you can do at home, so you are actively getting better even when he’s not with you. For me, this has been crucial: I have started to see my body differently and more positively. In this way, Ben has helped me recover psychologically after my accident as well. That’s the thing about him: he is always 100% positive, empathetic, compassionate, and encouraging. He helps you find the strength to do things when you’re hurting and you feel like you can’t. He’s a great listener and conversationalist, so you end up enjoying your appointments when you didn’t expect to. He knows good people and attracts good people: he runs his business really well, and his aides are friendly and really nice to deal with. I had a second accident recently—fell off my bike and hurt my foot—and I don’t know what I would have done if it weren’t for Ben. I could not recommend him any more highly.

Hey Ben, Back in 2008 my son, Ned Flynn, was a Junior pole vaulter at Cedercrest High School and showing great promise. However; Ned suffered from serious bio-mechanical issues through his legs. He was restricted to simulating pole vaulting in a gymnastics environment only, so as to avoid running and stressing his take-off leg. We were told that Ned should just let his 2008 season go in hopes of healing for 2009. We received a referral to Ben at Lake Washington Therapy. As a direct result of Bens work; within two weeks Ned was vaulting with stability. Ned had missed more than half the season to that point. Two weeks before the league championship Ned began dominating the competitions equaling his personal record first time out. Three weeks later Ned broke the School, and Stadium record. Four weeks later Ned again set the School, League, District and Conference record of 146". At that meet he cleared 1500 only to miss it on the way down because Dad had forgot to move the standards forward. Ned has since joined the US Marine Corp. where he continues to employ Bens methods and excels at all things physical. I completely and wholeheartedly recommend Lake Washington Physical Therapy for State of the Art technique in a highly professional, committed and compassionate environment! Thanks Ben, for all youve done for Ned! Sincerely, Rich Flynn Pole vault Coach

I am so happy with Mandie Majerus and Lake Washington Physical Therapy! After a lifetime of being athletic, I was finding it increasingly difficult to walk, had a profound limp, and was falling frequently. With a new injury on one leg and a 20-year-old one on the other, I landed in Mandies very capable hands. She started with the basics... checked my walking style and shoes... both wrong... and off we went! She was quick to commend me for a job well done, but let me know when I needed to make a correction. Mandie cheered my smallest victory and encouraged me through my struggles. She did her part well and taught me what I needed to do... it was real teamwork; with her sparkling personality, she made the hard work fun! The entire LWPT staff is helpful and friendly; the place is spotlessly clean, and I noticed frequent hand washing. I just “graduated” with no limp and steady balance... climbing stairs, jogging a bit, and amazed at my increased leg strength and range of movement. I grew to love Mandie and the team so much that it was hard to say goodbye. Fortunately, I dont have to, as they send out regular newsletters and invite their patients back for events, in which I definitely plan to participate! If you are in need of physical therapy, you wont find a better place anywhere than LWPT!

In pain on most days, at the end of November, 2012, I had shoulder surgery at ProAliance Surgery Center and had 3 procedures (including Rotater Cuff) done on my right shoulder( I am right handed). I had been recommended to Lake Washington Physical Therapy by a close friend whose family of 6 had all been seen in the clinic at one time or another. I was super impressed with the care and concern I received during my 6 months of P.T. Ben was my therapist and he was outstanding, working with me on my goals for getting my shoulder functioning so I could get back on the golf course, in addition to other activities. He provided therapy exercises which not only got my shoulder working properly but also were great for my golf game. His knowledge of the body was thorough and he helped me to get 95-98% of my mobility back. It has been a little over a year and I rarely feel pain in my shoulder although I do feel some aching when I over do it in my interval training class. All in the office are pleasant and efficient. I can truly say I miss going to PT. Not only did I receive great care but I made some new friends. I highly recommend LWPT! I

Exceptional level of service and expertise! I had been suffering from back, hip and shoulder pain for years before being diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff, which turns out was responsible for it all. I was ready to be well, and Ben and his staff were absolutely the right people to get me there. Ben met with me the week before my surgery to get a baseline, and then followed up with me the day after surgery to see how it all went. He is a great listener, and astute to what is going on with the body. He is thoughtful and passionate about what he does, and he and Dr. Koo created a conservative protocol that really worked. I saw gradual, but steady progress, and just as Dr. Koo predicted I am 9 months out and my shoulder (and in fact my whole body) feels more solid and healthier than ever. I had a great surgeon, but without Ben it would mean nothing. Lake Washington Physical Therapy is a clean, well thought out facility filled with bright and helpful people. My experience with LWPT exceeded my expectations, and yet with something like a shoulder I wouldnt expect anything less than perfect. Elysia January 22, 2012

I was treated for two injuries at Lake Washington Physical Therapy. One was a running related issue with my shins and the other was following a break and surgery in my wrist. I saw Ben for both of my injuries and was impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. I feel that I received comprehensive and personal treatment for both of my injuries. I received a gait analysis and exercises to help my shins tolerate running in addition to ion treatments and massage. When I was released to begin running again Ben helped me work on a schedule that I feel comfortable with and continue to follow. For my wrist, he helped me get my range of motion back post-surgery and provided me with exercises and tools to carry them out. I received email instruction and pictures of exercises I was to practice on my own in between appointments. The clinic, in general, is very clean, organized, and well equipped. The office associates and aides are pleasant and efficient. I also experienced prompt and accurate billing. I would highly recommend LWPT, and if I should have another injury I would seek them out for my treatment!
