Ive been going to Allegheny since it was by Food Lion for at least 16 years and I have never experienced the type of service I have recently recently received. The doctor is nice and very friendly. So no improvement there. However, the staff in the waiting room does a poor job of updating information. They continuously call my mother about my prescriptions and such, after Ive called three times and had them change my number and delete her off my emergency contacts. The service for ordering contacts and checkout is worse. It took the lady 45 minutes to bring up my information and find my prescription in the system. She needed help from another associate who couldnt have been more trashy. After waiting for HER for that amount of time (mind you she was only helping me), she told me the total, which was more than I expected. So I tried to quickly transfer funds on my phone, so that everything would be taken care right then and there. Boy, waiting 5 minutes for me was a huge inconvenience for her. How dare I make her wait after waiting 45 minutes myself?! After I pay. I set up a follow up appointment. That I had to reschedule twice, after that I said nope, not doing it because they cant read their calendars. The next week I called about my contacts, and they never put the order through. Why? Because I missed the follow up that THEY kept rescheduling. I had to hang up before I acted out of character. They took the money out of my account and all THAT time to not order my contacts??!!! I demanded a refund, but apparently contacts are non refundable even if they didnt order them. I told them they had a week to order them and if they didnt I wanted my money back. Couple days later they call my mother, yet again and said that they are ordered. This was last week, my appointment was on my birthday, FEBRUARY 23rd!!!! I seriously believe in loyalty. Been with the company since I was in 5th grade! But after I get my contacts, Im finding someone else. The staff I have dealt with would be better off being stray dogs.

if I could throw up over this I would! Such a huge inconvenience so I got the anti glare which I explained my bad experience the last time I got it from another place but its helpful if it work. An they assured me that it has come along way an I shouldnt have any problems. You wouldnt believe my luck all I see is glare a constant rainbow around the rim of the glasses! The glasses where 400$ my insurance paid 200. So they werent cheap an I know when I take them back there gone to fix them but what a huge inconvenience. I usually dont leave reviews, I just dont go back but Im sick an tired of everywhere I go theres always something. I understand accidents but Im tired of the inconvenience i have to take the time to go out there then wait to pick them up an in a few months Ill probably be back because anti glare scratches very easy! I shouldnt have bought the anit glare yes but I figured Id give it one more chance.

First eye exam in a while. Was told two weeks to get prescription is plenty of time. I called to check on status a week and a half after ordering. I was told there was an issue with production. I checked back two days later.. Still not in. I called a week following, I was told that they have a note telling me the glasses werent ordered, however the people I spoke to said there was a kink in production, not that they forgot my order. I was then told a rush was put on my prescription. Another week has passed, still not in. This is their idea of a rush? Only stars are for the number of times I was hassled about getting eye exams more frequently.

I am new to the area and was pleased with the service and care I received. My appointment was made and service provided very quickly.The office staff was friendly and professional and Dr. Koski gave me one of the best exams I have ever had.Looking forward to my next visit.

Our daughter had an appointment at 2pm. There was NO one else in the waiting room when we arrived....She did not go in to see the doctor until 3pm! A woman arrived after us, and was seen BEORE us. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate in my opinion.

The staff is very pleasant and efficient, the eye tests are simple and well-explained and their selection of frames is attractive and affordable. Ive been to Allegany Optical in both Martinsburg and Charles Town and they are a great business.

Horrible service, staff were a bunch of smart asses, too expensive and I couldnt switch because it took them multiple months to even give me my prescription.
