Strictly business. I came in with what is apparently scabies. They first thought it was something else (a more common rash) and then on the second visit, determined it was scabies. After the second visit, they prescribe permethrin 5%, which had an automatic refill. After two applications of the cream, I came back for another visit, and they recommended still using the cream. Fine. I had the cream refilled, and unbeknownst to me, there was no refills. I called up my CVS to have them refill it. They have a misleading answering system, which informed me that my order “was being processed.” To a lay person, this would mean the order is being processed. But in their lingo, this meant that they were trying to get in touch with the doctor. Three phone calls on Friday from CVS to Advanced were not answered. Saturday, their office was closed. Sunday, they have limited hours, and the doctor was already booked. I left a message to have my order refilled. One hour later, at 11:15AM, I called again. Two hours later, at 1:25PM, they called me back and said that they would get around to it. My CVS never heard from them, as I found out when I went at 5:00 to pick up the prescription. My experience with the doctors is that they are nice, but on a tight schedule. I was on the phone when the girl ushered me into the examination room, and instructed me to hang up. She asked why I was here, and I responded it was a follow up call. She said Okay, and left. For that, I needed to hang up. Scabies are tiny mites which can be seen under a 60x magnifier. You would think that they might use this magnifier to determine if it is indeed mites.

My wife and I went here just a couple days ago. We went in to check a bad rash on her. We ended up waiting one hour to see the doctor and when she did finally see him, he only gave her 2 minutes of his time. He was not specific about anything and just told her it was a viral infection. He didnt mention what she had, what preventive measures she had to take, and just told her to take some pills. It spread to her eye a few days later, we called to see if they could help us, but they promptly turned us away telling us they could do nothing for us and we had to see an ophthalmologist. Im not sure how they could make such a snap judgment without even looking at her, they didnt even give us the chance to tell them that it was in the skin around the eye. Needless to say, dont go here. I feel like they dont care about the patients and only treat them like cash cows. Terrible.

Yes for cosmetic skin treatment but my wife had melanoma and the doctor looked at it and told her it was nothing - just dermatitis (an allergic skin reaction to something). She was lucky that she ran to the city and got into Sloan Kettering and that she did not need radiation and / or chemotherapy. The lab that Advanced Dermatology uses, labeled her stage one A. Sloan labeled her stage one B. Stage two requires further treatment. If you are worried about melanoma, you need to find someone who looks in your butt crack and vagina and scalp because YES you can get melanoma in these places. You need someone to SCREEN not look, smile, and tell you it is nothing because at stage three, you can be dead in six months time. GO here by all means for laser and cosmetic surgery. DO NO GO HERE for melanoma screening!!!!!!!!

Ive been to Advanced Dermatology several times for skin care (annual body exam) and for cosmetic procedures. In both cases Ive had very positive experiences. I always feel like I get a thorough and professional body exam in terms of protecting myself against skin cancer. I also get good advice about any small dermatological problems that need treatment, such as dry skin, eczema, etc. The doctors and the staff are all professional, friendly, and respectful. As for cosmetic procedures, I wouldnt go anywhere else! I feel Im in good hands at Advanced Dermatology and have recommended the practice to many friends, with good reviews from them as well.

I made the mistake of coming back here to give them a second chance. The doctor I saw seemed to know NOTHING. I had a biopsy done, but the doctor never gave me results, a receptionist just said I had dry skin.. The area got worse so I went back to see a different doctor. He actually knew something and treated me. But then I decided to do a new laser therapy. Every person who set me up told me something different and the results were awful. It was the worst $1700 I ever spent. Buyer beware!

Advanced Dermatology should be investigated by the Attorney General. Advanced Dermatology will examine you and then pressure you to go to their facility where you can get facials and other cosmetic treatments by non-professionals. The packages the sell you are very expensive and not covered by insurance. They try to sell you expensive products that are not covered by insurance. This is a great money maker and it is also a scam that ends up costing the consumer a lot of money.

Dr. Fox has been our family Dermatologist for a few years now, I finally decided to remove three moles from my face that I had from birth. I always thought that It was a procedure that could only be done by a Plastic Surgeon and therefore it would be very expensive so I put off all this time. Dr. Fox removed all three moles and Im happy to say that it was a very simple, fast, painless and inexpensive procedure. Thank you Dr. Fox for being so great at what you do.

Certainly five star medical care. Not so sure "I loved it". When someone is burning a dozen or so spots on your head Im not sure I would use the word "love" to describe the experience. That being said, no other dermatologist or allergist Ive visited has been able to diagnose a rash or hive better than Dr. Fox and prescribe a cream or ointment that actually works and gets rid of it in less than a week. Love the new office and the staff is fantastic!

I am writing this for my spouse Alvin. He was called to come to CVS for a drug. He was given a tube which the pharmacist said was ordered by Dr. Fox. At his visit the day before, no mention was made about any medication by Dr. Fox or his assistant. I was with him at the visit. He refused the product as he had no knowledge about it or what it was to be used for. This was a real lack of communication and unacceptable.

I can simply describe my experience was "Awesome". My dermatologist listened to my concerns and worries about my skin, and provided me many treatment options and suggestion based on my comfort levels and personal preferences. I have been on her treatment plan for a few weeks now and can say my skin looks even better than I imagined.

Ive been a patient for over 20 years. For the last decade I have lived 40+ miles away yet I am still a patient of Dr. Fox. I have been unable to find another doctor or practice with his knowledge, experience and the attitude of his staff. I find he is always up top date with the current trends and treatments.
