Ok so after reading several reviews I was really nervous about going to a big dental clinic like Southern because I had problems and knew they were going to try to get as much money out as possible. I like the fact that the dentist examined me before my cleaning to find out exactly what I needed first. Then, a business office rep came in and told me because I had gingivitis and needed a deep cleaning I would have out of pocket expense, which I didnt realize because I didnt check my benefits carefully enough. For preventative cleaning it was covered, but this obviously wasnt preventitive.(make sure you check your benefits) I needed to have two cleanings, which was 114.00. I told them I couldnt pay for it all today, and so they split it where I paid half now and half next week when I go back for the second one. I had to wait 45 mins between the dentist and hygienist, which I really didnt care for, but the hygienist was really nice and gentle..she kept applying the numbing gel to lessen my discomfort, without me asking. I didnt like the wait time, but had a good experience here. The staff were really nice, and they have late appts. which I really need. I hope this review helps someone out, since I was really surprised after reading the other reviews of how my visit turned out.

We have used this Dental office with the kids and ourselves. I have always been Leary of them because they have a MONEY FIRST thought process! But we needed Dental service and they were convenient. As of today, I REFUSE to ever go there again! I have a toothache that is SCREAMING and all the front desk attendant wanted to do was argue with me over me being in the system or making sure I had my dental insurance coverage in the system! We had already called the people for Southern who makes the appointments and she was amazing! I was ready Saturday when this really was bad, but the appointment person was SO NICE that I decided to wait. BAD MISTAKE!!! If you decide to go, please be aware of the goals of the dentistry. They are MONEY first, Patient LAST! Even IF I could get in, it would be HOURS Later! Even with a screaming tooth and gums. (She emphasized HOURS!) I need to find a place to really complain to.... Patients should NEVER be treated this bad!

The team at Deerbrook Southern Dental is outstanding! Dr. Arias, KeKe (front desk), Laqrish, Stacey (office manager), Sam and Crystal, thank you for making me feel as if I am your only patient. Their kindness and concern for me is phenomenal. I have an extreme fear of Dentists and Dr. Arias and her team strive for perfection, they understand my fear and take the time to explain everything so that I am completely at ease. I retired and moved to north Texas and I refuse to find another Dental office therefore, I drive 5 hours for my appointments so that I can continue to use Deerbrook Southern Dental. Thank you to MY wonderful team at Deerbrook Southern Dental. You are truly an amazing team and I appreciate all you do for me. Nita Buckholz

I scheduled appointments for both of my kids. 1st one was scheduled for 1:30 and 2nd for 2:30 (what I was told when they called to reschedule me). I signed in at 1:09. Sat there until they called my first child at 2:23. I asked what time my second child would be called and they said she was just scheduled with the hygienist. I told them that I had specifically said when I scheduled that I needed a full doctor/cleaning visit for both of them. Im told at that time that her appointment is for 3 pm (not 2:30 like I was told over the phone). Shes finally called to the back at 3:42 (only after asking the front desk for a second time). Finally walked out at 4:25. Ridiculous! I will NOT be coming back!

This place was horrible I usually go to the southern dental in the heights and I love it there. Because of a time crunch I chose the southern dental in deerbrook mall. 1st they were short handed I waited a hour and a half before they did my x rays. Then another 40 minutes to interrupt them. Then finally when Im in the chair for a teeth cleaning and whiting the dental assistant took a quick 10minutes if that. My teeth look the same, she didnt remove any plaque or calcium. I call back to tell the manager and she doesnt do anything. I go back in so the dentist and dental assistant can see the horrible job. This place is ridiculous I will never go back.

Two words sum up this place....Horrible and Fraud Horrible - they are the most inconsiderate dentist office Ive ever experienced. Waited in the lobby for an hour and a half AFTER my appointment time. Appointment was supposed to be for a filling, but was scheduled for a cleaning instead. The dentists do not work on Friday apparently. I walked out and didnt receive any service. Fraud - Found out today, the hygienist noted in my chart that she cleaned my teeth.

The office staff are very friendly and helpful. The clinic is very clean, using the most up to date technology. My dentist is Dr. Barton. He is very knowledgeable very thorough and extremely professional. I have been seeing Dr. Barton for some 15 years and have never been disappointed in his diagnosis nor his treatment. Even though we have moved to the west side of town I still make the drive to this clinic and it is because of Dr. Barton.

I received a crown from them in July 2014. I went to a new dentist in Summer of 2016 who said they installed it wrong and their was a big piece of material (the crown molding sticking out of the tooth). Well, December 2016 it completely came off. They will now accommodate because I am past my one year warranty. Their dentist did shoddy work, it wasnt the company who made the crown. Do not go to them, try to upgrade your insurance if you can.

Had my braces on for about 20 months and I must say it was well worth it! The results are incredible!! Love my new smile. Orthodontist Dr. Marmentini and her staff are Awesome! Dr. Marmentini is very sweet, kind, thorough, attention to detail and takes time to ensure you get the the best Ortho treatment! Highly recommend her! Thanks a million Dr!

Crowns were not correct after waiting 6 weeks for them to come in and another 6 weeks wait for the correct crowns to come in? Temporary bridges came out 6 times while waiting. Teeth color do not match after all that.

Great experience. Had to get two teeth extracted. Didnt even know he got them both. Great all the way around. Recommended. Especially in emergency situations.
