Full Disclosure: This is review isnt based on the care I received by the physician. I am satisfied with the care. However, this review is based upon the unscrupulous business practices and I daresay fraudulent insurance claims processing this office chooses to participate in. I first visited this office in May 2014. I was told there was an issue with my insurance (the office was unable to verify my benefits) and I would need to pay for the visit up front in order to be seen. I obliged and made the payment. Shortly after leaving my appointment, I called my insurance company to make sure I was covered and my benefits were verifiable. Upon confirming my insured status, I called the office to make sure my account was updated. I was told the office would bill my insurance plan and I would be reimbursed. It is approximately five months after my initial visit. Ive had several subsequent visits. My insurance plan has been billed AND the New Generation has confirmed on multiple occasions they have received payment. Matter of fact, the amount they were reimbursed is more than twice the amount I was required to pay upfront. However, I have not been refunded. Ive made several calls to the office. Ive been told on several times that my refund is on the way or I should receive it in several weeks. It is now almost three months since I was first promised my refund. I never received a dime. So now I have go through the arduous process of filing a legal complaint against them. DO NOT COME TO THIS OFFICE. There are too many other physicians offices that operate with integrity. UPDATE: I received my refund check today, October 20, 2014. Interestingly enough, the check is dated September 27, 2014 which is almost the same date as my initial review. I wonder if it was the review or my call to the inspector generals office that got the ball rolling. Additionally, I have to make a correction to my initial review. I was told by one of the staff at the office that a $600 payment was remitted to the doctors office. However, enclosed with my refund was a letter from the office manager Edna J. quoting this review along with an explanation of benefits that shows the office was not overpaid for my visit. I can only assume that a $600 payment must have been for multiple visits or the person I talked to gave me incorrect information. At any rate, this whole ordeal should have NEVER happened and I stand by my comment that anyone considering this office should look elsewhere.

After receiving a referral from my general physician, I looked forward to trying this place out. Never will I return. There were so many things wrong with this place: 1. During my intake with the physicians assistant, a staff member came in and started stocking items into the cabinets for like two minutes straight. 2. The physicians assistant asked ME how to spell cervix - remember we are at a GYNECOLOGISTs office. 3. The physicians assistant asked ME to read to her the weight on the manual scale for her to record it. 4. I had to wait for 1 hour in sitting room then an hour in patient office. I waited so long in the patient office that I fell asleep 5. Bathroom is extremely cramped, so its awkward to get your urine test. 6. You have to write your own name on your urine sample. Never in all my years have I ever had to do this. I think its so unsanitary because they make you write it after youve left the bathroom. Everyone is using the same markers with who knows what bacteria all over their hands from the possibly-pissy urine cup. 7. As Im giving Dr. Gordon feedback, she keeps trying to cut me off and forward me to the office manager. I wasnt having it and told her she should care because it is her name attached to all of this. They get two stars because after I finally got through to Dr. Gordon, she attempted to resolve some of the issues - namely the issue regarding her assistant who happened to be an intern. I will not be returning here.

LONG waits and Ive had a lot of trouble with receptionists here, but great OBGYN who really cares about her patients! I was scheduled for 1:45pm appointment and then switched to 3:45 without notice, and not informed of this until 3:45, despite the fact that in the 2h Id waited, I asked a receptionist 3x. She just kept saying, "soon," like it was unreasonable for me to ask for a time estimate when Id waited so long. She never once told me my appointment time had been changed. Before that last visit, I tried to make an appointment at 4:30pm and was told Id have to call before 4pm, receptionist refused to make an appointment for me, despite the fact that I said it was urgent. Before that visit, I initially made an appointment for something a receptionist told me I could have done there, but turns out isnt kept in stock. 1h wait the first visit, 2h wait the second, received a letter in the mail that my pap smear was abnormal on neon pink paper (highly inappropriate), and Tuesdays theyre not open until noon. HOWEVER, the gynecologist Ive seen there seems to really, genuinely care about her patients. Shes kind, apologetic, reasonable, and determined to help, even if it means coming into work when shes on maternity leave and about to give birth, to help others. She makes up for all the bad service Ive had here, but I really do think NGMP needs better receptionists.

I had an appointment yesterday which I set up almost a month in advance. I only schedule my appointments for the first of the day, not the first available and am willing to wait longer until the first appointment is available because Im unwilling to lose to much of my day to Dr appts. I was told I was given the first appt of the day 9:30 (I showed up at 9:15 since I was a new patient). There were a ton of people in the waiting room when I showed up but I was trying to be positive. At 9:54 I decided its time to ask the person at the desk what is going on since I think its rude and disrespectful to not inform people if their appt will be running more than 15 min late. I asked her when the first appt of the day is. 8 am. I asked when my appt is for. 10 am. I asked the average wait time at this practice. 45 minutes. I asked for my identification back and left. I dont have time to be lied to at literally every turn about my appointment before even seeing the Dr.

The 1 star is for the very friendly assistants who took my vitals... but the doctor was more concerned about my personal life and less about my health issues and I felt like I was being judged... I was so annoyed and didnt feel like bringing up my concerns anymore so while shes poking and prying around in my vagina she was talking about my education and why Im not doing this and that (like lady youre not my guidance councilor) and she didnt make me feel comfortable at all... and thats the most important thing when you exposed and vulnerable like that to a stranger you want to feel as comfortable as possible.. smh

extremely disappointed with this practice. do not waste your time. my appointment was at 9:00 am and i arrived at 8:45. the doctor did not see me until 10:30 and was not apologetic. she was rude and made inappropriate comments. she also prescribed a birth control and said that if it wasnt covered by my insurance, i could call and she would change it. it wasnt so i have called almost everyday for the past 3 weeks and they have yet to change it, though they keep saying they will. very frustrating!
