I am and will be forever grateful to Dr. Neuman and my Parrot " BooBie" literally owes her life to Dr. Neuman. Although I believe in the saying you get what you pay for, I found the prices to be reasonable. When I first brought Boobie in, it was an emergency and I told Dr. Neuman I didnt care what it cost just save my bird. She could have taken advantage of my distress but she didnt, she didnt over charge me or take advantage in any way The added years of companionship we still share with Boobie is priceless, no amount of money is worth losing someone or something you love. For those who havent noticed, everything has went up, Whether it is Gas or Milk, even water is up over 100% the past few years, I cant imagine what the Vet office must pay in rent and utilities but somehow they must be paid. I dont blame the Vet, I blame the system in place. On the other hand, the things I feel are important are like ... she saved my Parrot, she is VERY knowledgeable, her and the staff are professional, it is a very friendly and warm environment, I was able to visit my sick parrot everyday and they always took time out of their busy day, I rest assured that her love of animals are such that she would never turn down an animal and allow it to die because a person doesnt have enough money, something I witnessed with another Vet in Park Slope. That too is something you can not put a price tag on, the Drs genuine compassion for animals. I truly believe the money is secondary for her, but people act like she doesnt have to also survive, she cant do everything for free or at a lost. That is not the American way :-) So stop whining about the cost and thank God you can afford to pay it, there are people with nothing who can not afford to have their pets treated and must watch them die. Thank God Dr, Neuman is there for us and not only support her endeavor to provide top quality care at a reasonable cost but wish her success including financial success and rewards from her hard labor, a labor of love in which she also knows what she is doing and will not stand and watch an animal suffer or die because someone is too poor to pay. The bottom line shouldnt be money but who would you entrust the life of your precious companion pets to. I know mines are in Good hands at Vinegar Hill Veterinary Group. I can not thank them enough for all they have done for Boobie and Boobies family including going above and beyond anything I have ever seen at a Vet office. I know animals, I wanted to be a Veterinarian or a Zoologist and have studied animals extensively. Believe me Dr. Neumans knowledge is impressive and if anyone wants the best for their pet, I would recommend that you go there. I rate them 100 on a scale of 1 to 10.

I dont know where to begin to describe the horrible experience I have had with Vinegar Hill Veterinary Group. I originally brought my cat in 3 weeks ago to address some concerns about her health. After some tests, her condition was diagnosed and a course of treatment was agreed upon which included twice daily medication. I received the medication and was to bring her back in 3 weeks for blood work to check the effectiveness of the medication/dosage. I scheduled an appointment with the same doctor. On my way to the follow up exam (an 11am appointment time), I received a call from Vinegar Hill Vet Group. They wanted to know why I was not at my appointment. It was still 15 minutes before my appointment time. Despite the fact that I had the appointment date printed out on my last receipt from them in my hand, they told me that I had an appointment at 10:30am with Dr. Neuman. This was not my cats doctor and not the appointment time I scheduled (and that they gave me written confirmation of). They insisted I had a 10:30 appointment with Dr. Neuman and that Dr. Neuman would be gone at 11am for a house call. The person on the phone was very rude about all of this. I arrived at 10:50am and was seen by Dr. Neuman (the doctor I had an appointment with was apparently not even working at the time of the 11am scheduled appointment with her). Dr. Neuman was very brief and inattentive in dealing with me. When I explained that they only gave me enough medicine for my cat until the night before, she said that they could not do the blood work necessary because she had not had her morning dose. I would need to leave my cat there for 4 hours so they could give her a dose then wait to take a blood sample. I had no desire to leave my cat there, and it would have

I love this vet practice. I searched long and hard to find a vet for my dogs and cats that I trusted and liked. I discovered Vinegar Hill when a vet friend of mine, who now lives out of state, recommended them. I use this practice because: 1) Appointment times are kept. It is never a long wait from the time Im scheduled to be seen to when I am actually sen. 2) The doctors care. They want to hear about my pets histories and find the best solutions to their health issues. I never feel rushed when meeting with a doctor. 3) They dont up sell. I never get sold on medications/vaccinations/ treatments that my animals dont need or I didnt ask for. 4) They are respectful of my decisions. I never feel judged or shamed for the course of treatment I choose (or dont choose). All in all, Vinegar Hill has been the best fit in my life for my pets needs.

It is true that they can be a little bit expensive, but we Vinegar Hill Vet Group has been fantastic for us at every turn. We chose them initially because they were the only vet in the area who could give us a same day appointment when our dog became sick, and they have given her fabulous, caring treatment, including letting us bring her in for a quick look over in the lobby when were worried about a rash or bite or something without any charge. Dr. Neuman and Dr. Tamm both go out of their way to be helpful. Once, when traveling, our dog became ill and Dr. Tamm called and left me a lengthy voicemail about everything it could be and how to respond to each symptom and when I should consider taking her in to a vet. Cant say enough good things about them!

I have been coming to Vinegar Hill Vet since I moved to Brooklyn 10 years ago, and they have always provided the best care imaginable. Our first cat, who was feral and extremely nervous to go to visits, had excellent home visits which we will always cherish- they were there with her when she passed, and I will never forget how loving and understanding and helpful they were during that awful time. Since then with our new cat of almost 2 years, they treat her like their own and it is always a pleasure to have them care for her - the entire staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Really cannot say enough great things about this place - it is where you want to have your other family member taken care of!!!
