Nice location and one friendly receptionist I have encountered but other then that I feel indifferent to Dr. Kim and his assistant after my visit. He knew I would not put my cat in intensive care because of cost and my cats anxiety. I asked the Dr if there were any remedies or anything I can do to help comfort my cat who is no longer eating but still using the litter box and drinking water. I repeatedly stressed that I want to do everything I can to help, that is non intrusive The only recommendation he had was for me to take my cat for an ultra sound or a biopsy....We left with blood work and a shot for appetite and antibiotic(him and his assistant were both loud in the room and my cat became more nervous). I went home and fed him some puree (with a syringe I got myself) . My cat started eating but was still weak because I wasnt aware he was supposed be on a high nutrient diet. I called the office to get info on my cats blood work and after I finally spoke to Mr.kim on the phone he recommended a pill TO OPEN MY CATS APPETITE. Where were these pills on my visit? He also offered syringes to feed my cat...When at the visit he had told me not to feed me cat, which I did anyway because he would have died of hunger . The key to healing my cats condition of hepatic lipidosis is nutrients and hydration which he never informed me or offered ...I Would have gladly come back everyday so they could provide him with fluids. He never asked me to come back for anything and I wish I never went to this doctor. I havent slept well because I think about how my cat could have been comforted early but you didnt even help with that. After we left your office we were on our own..No guidance from this doctor. No one should have that experience. On our phone call after my visit, mr.Kim mentioned he was sad about my negative review on Yelp, after repeadtedly asking if I am the one who wrote it. However I wish he was saddened by the fact that he let me leave with my sick cat with no further guidance, he didnt ask for a follow up call or anything . I went to a doctor for help... and I got the bare minimum because I wasnt waiving money around. He could have recommended Pedialyte for my cats dehydration which he didnt. Id rather take a longer drive and get help from someone who loves animals and truly wants to help them. Funny you mention that he has a history of vomiting when I specifically mentioned to you that he had not thrown up ( this is the reason I asked if I should force feed). Its also weird that you say you called me 3 times and left voicemails the night of..yet I only have one call and voicemail from you which was from the morning after my yelp review where you basically interrogated me about my review. Seems you like to just throw statements around when you are frustrated or challenged. Once again you did not call me 3 times and you told me a man answered and said it was the wrong number so you dialed wrong . The files all have the correct number..so it is actually a possibility that you made a mistake, imagine that?.

I brought my dog here several times. It is very clean and the staff is very friendly. I called multiple times to ask questions and the person that picks up the phone (usually a gentleman) was always helpful and nice. The reason why I ended up switching to another vet is because Dr. Kim was not the most helpful doctor. Every time I went in for a visit with my dog and I would ask a question, the doctor would rush his answers and literally be walking out the door as he was answering my question. I felt like he didnt answer throughly and just wanted to get out quickly. I never felt comfortable or satisfied with my visit. Im there to take care of my dog and learn what I can do to be a better owner, but seemed like he didnt care at all. I understand it can get busy and he has other patients, but this happened when there was no one else waiting. I felt like he didnt genuinely care and was only in it for profit. He told me to get my dog neututed and tried to push me to also extract his baby teeth that had not fallen out yet. It was very expensive! I didnt understand why I needed to rush taking out his teeth surgically! They all ended up falling out on its own! It is unfortunate because if it was not for Dr. Kim I wouldve stuck with edgewater animal hospital.

This animal hospital is the best one I have been to. I had recently moved to Edgewater a little over a year ago so I had been to different veterinary offices and this has been the best experience yet. The staff is warm and welcoming and they always remember my pets name which is important to me because it shows they care, enjoy what they do, and take the time to remember each and every pet that visits their office. My dog is always nervous when he has to go to an office visit, but they are so gentle and caring with him and always try to relax him as best as they can which, in turn, puts me at ease as well. Also, because it is an animal hospital and not just a veterinary office, any and all procedures that are necessary for your pet can be done right there in their office. So you never have to worry about taking your dog elsewhere to some stranger for any type of procedure! Everything can be done on site at Edgewater Animal Hospital. Edgewater Animal Hospital has been very accommodating and more than welcoming as a whole and I say that about every member of the staff not just the doctor. So if youre looking for a cozy, intimate, and welcoming environment to take your dog for all his/her check ups, I HIGHLY recommend choosing Edgewater Animal Hospital!

This is state of the arts very professional, I thank Dr. John Kim and Maria for all there help with my 14yr old dog. (nickie boy) I dont trust anyone else, Maria i am so blessed that you take the time to talk with me and answer all my questions, and if you cant I thank you dr. kim for taking the time to call me back and help me with what every questions I have. Your staff is great and I dont care what "hapnew" says, there is no way that anyone could ever have a bad experience with your hospital. The best ever. Thankyou Edgewater Animal Hospital. T so my pet was very sick, and dr. kim was the only dr. of veterinarian medicine that found out what was wrong with him. i am reading this bcause this one person and i quote "money money money" but he is the only vet in bergen county that saved my pet. he refered me out to new york city and my pet is alive because of this, dr. kim is the best and will do everything and anything to help your pet. and it just outrages me that you cant see the difference, he also needs to be paid for his knowlege and time and testing. what is wrong with you people. if you dont except that then you should not own a pet. thank you dr. kim and edgewateer animal hospital staff. T
