Hi Doctor Rubio. After all these years, it ended badly so you get zero star. I remember for years you were so nice and helpful towards my pets and my neighbors pet. And nice to me the pet owner. But when your two men assistants left and you hired that woman assistant Mirah, you made a big mistake hiring her. She was so cruel to my cat Mary when my cat layed in my apartment dehydrated, not eating, not drinking and was dying. You told me if this happened, I was to call you immediately and bring her to you for hydration. I called you all day every hour on the hour repeatedly explaining this emergency and your directions for Mary. But you never called back and Mirah kept rudely screening my calls telling me..."the doctor is with other patients"; "Doctor is very busy". Doctor cant come to the phone" "Doctor has nothing to tell you". "Doctor has an emergency now and cant take your call and has no message for you". "no appointments today, doctor too busy. He will call back when he can". You never called back so in the afternoon, I took a taxi from my work in the Bronx to Jackson Heights, got my cat and brought her in without an appointment. Luckily, one of the ex-employee man assistant was there visiting you when I arrived. He knows me and my cat Mary and I told him what was going on as described above. He proceeded to tell you and you asked to see me and I went back with my cat to see you in the back. You told me that this is the first time anyone has told you all day what was going on that day with Mary. In front of me you asked your assistant Mirah if this is true what I am claiming. With her head hung low, Mirah mumbled yes. Since then, you kept Mirah as your employee after what she did to my cat Mary who died soon after , by the way!!!! Mirah made my cat sufferer with the most cruel animal cruelty and cruelty towards me the owner during this horrible sickness . And you knew this and kept Mirah as your assistant in contact with other innocent animals!!!! What the hell happened to you Doctor Rubio!!! This doesnt even sound like the Doctor Rubio I knew for all those years!

Last week, I took my baby kitten Henderson to this clinic hoping that they would give him a full check up exam. Although they are rather expensive, I did not mind. Anyways, the vet told me that the kitten had an eye infection and a swollen anus (I was already aware of the eye infection and I did tell him about it beforehand), however he did not tell me that my kitten was suffering form hookworms. If he checked my kittens behind, he would have clearly seen them because I had to find out for myself after taking Henderson home. They claimed that they saw no evidence of the hookworms, yet they didnt make any form of conclusions on why Hendersons behind was severely irritated. I dont want anyone else to suffer like I did, nor their beloved pets. If I took my pet to another vet, I believe he wouldnt have died days later. Please DO NOT go to this vet if your pet is suffering. They are pathetic.

I have been a client of Dr. Rubios for ten years now. When my dog Tini broke her leg in a freak accident on a park bench, Dr. Rubio immediately took care of her and suggested the best plan of action was to give her time and let the leg heal on its own. I went to another clinic for a second opinion who advised me to amputate my dogs leg only to overcharge me for the consultation and xrays. I went back to Dr. Rubio and followed his advice, my dog began walking two weeks after the accident and her fracture healed with no problem. Throughout the years Dr. Rubio has been a great veterinarian and I value his honesty and his professionalism. His assistants are very caring , sweet and helpful always ready and willing to help and answer any questions or concerns I have regarding my dog. I value and greatly appreciate his great service and the staffs as well.

I went there about a year ago. I had an appointment at 11:00 am with Dr. Rubio. Id had a previous visit to the clinic and everything went well. Anyway the day of the visit we arrived about 20 minutes earlier. we thought we would wait just for a few minutes but as the time passed by it was 11:15. We had waited for about 35 minutes, nobody paid any attention to us. We just heard Dr. Rubio and the assistant laughing on the other room and didnt care about his patients. It was very disrespectful so we decided to leave. As soon as we left they called us to go back or schedule a new appointment. Never went back again! This clinic should consider their patients as a priority! And by the way the assistant was very rude and we arrived.

Seeing the good reviews, I decided to go here. This doctor is inconsiderate and doesnt have a heart. He was trying to find my dogs jugular for blood work and after FOUR unsuccessful attempts I asked if this happened often. I was slightly annoyed but more worried because my dog exhibits grave symptoms. He asked me to leave the room and I told him I could not because I had to watch my dog. He sternly said "get out" and would not help me any longer. My dog is my world and I will not stand by and watch an ignorant person who chose this profession mistreat him. No humanity, sympathy, or professionalism. 0 stars if I could.

I took my cat over to Elmhurst Animal Hospital over by Queens Blvd when he was vomiting and defecating blood and they told us that even though his blood was fine he was a very sick cat. We were about to put our cat to sleep and all they were saying is that he wouldnt last a couple days. I called up Dr. Rubio who has been his vet for many years and now thanks to Dr. Rubio and his staff, we have our Coco back and we are very grateful to him. He also recommends that any one who has an animal in need takes them to Animal Medical Center in Manhattan. Thank you, Dr. Rubio. You gave me my little brother back.

"I am very glad to have found Dr. Rubio and the girls. Great place to take my animals!!! They are wonderful and they will have my business forever. My dog Coco and my cat Abby both are pacientes of the clinic and is true, I finally found my vet. They are very professional and caring and we consider them the best. One of my pets has required a lot of attention and the doctor make time to discuss treatments and options, and most importantly, understand that they were treating a member of my family, not just a pet..."

Dr. Rubio has provided great vet care to my pets for plenty of years. I consider him very reliable with great practice to trust him my pets. I always received an accurate diagnosis, explanation of it, and a plan to bring back to health to my pets or a recommendation referral to the AMC for more especialized service. His staff is very corteous, diligent, and helpful to assist me with my concerns and FU appointments. I always recommend Dr. Rubio to friends or anybody who looks for help to the pets.
