It was my first time going to American Vision for an eye exam and pair of glasses, and I am so pleased to report that I truly had a great experience. The staff is super friendly and extremely warm in their interactions; Dr. Margolin was super informative and thorough when given the eye exam. When picking my glasses, I even asked if they could possibly tighten my sunglasses that I have had for two years but were always loose and they were super generous and did it with no problem! I found out when I got home that my mom had gone to American Vision a little while back to receive an eye exam (I did not realize she come here until she told me, and mentioned that she too, had a positive experience American Vision)! I would highly recommend American Vision!

I spent 800 dollars for a pair of glasses I cant even see out of . Been back three different times to hear the same bullshit excuse " You have to get used to them" . Well, I still havent gotten used to them, so I dont wear them. They told me they would work with my insurance provider........ Well guess what... I had to pay the whole thing myself, and then to add insult to injury , I had to wait almost a month to get them...... This place is run by the biggest bunch of crooks Ive ever seen. 800 dollars for a pair of glasses you cant even see out of ? Dont be a fool, avoid this place at any cost .

Great experience at a friendly professional office. Dr Margolin was amazing and spent a long time over several visits making sure that my contacts fit comfortably and performed as well as possible. I never felt hurried. He was kind and gentle and made me feel like he really cared about my vision. The eyeglasses techincian John also spent a long time with me trying to make me happy, he is very good at what he does. Victoria at the front counter was pleasant and professional as I drove her crazy trying to pick out frames. All in all, a wonderful visit. Highly recommended.

I have mixed feelings about American Vision. On the bright side, their selection of frames is extensive, and I was able to pick out a great pair. Dr. Margolin is a knowledgeable, professional, and friendly doctor. However, their policies regarding insurance are unreasonable. A $35 co-payment is needed before any service whatsoever, and after the $25 eye test they charge an additional $60 for a contact lens diagnosis, a checkup that would only take ten extra minutes. Overall, expect good service but prepare to pay for it.

Worst place to go. Very unfriendly people working there. The woman that is working there is very unhelpful and uninterested in helping customers. The man who works on the glasses is the only helpful and kind person working there. Very expensive as well, and not many options. Very pushy and will tell you anything looks good as long as you buy. I bought glasses and they broke constantly. Do not waste your money here.

Went there for my eye exam this year after a bad experience with Sterling Optical next door. The people are friendly. I had a noon appointment and had to wait over 30 minutes to be seen by the doctor because they let walk-ins come in for exams before me, which defeats the purpose of making an appointment. The doctor was friendly and did a really thorough job though.
