PM Pediatrics is an urgent care center located at 620 E Boston Post Rd, Mamaroneck, NY 10543, USA. The facility specializes in pediatric care and has a rating of 3.5.
One parent recounted a harrowing experience where the staff attempted multiple times to administer IV fluids to their 19-month-old child but failed. The child was left with a bloody hand, and the parent felt that the staff lacked both experience and bedside manner.
Another parent took their child in for a cough and other symptoms but was told it was a virus because the child did not have a fever. The child was later diagnosed with the flu by their pediatrician.
A parent was told that the center accepted their insurance and was asked to pay $155 upfront, only to later discover that the insurance was not accepted, leaving them out of pocket.
The reviews for PM Pediatrics in Mamaroneck present a mixed picture. While some parents have had positive experiences, citing quick service and cleanliness, others have raised serious concerns about the staff's medical expertise and communication skills. The center's rating of 3.5 reflects this divide in customer satisfaction.

What a horrible experience! I brought my 19 month old here as per his pediatricians recommendation , since I was told that they could administer fluids through an IV. We had gone to the ER the previous night and he still wasnt able to hold anything down, so I was grateful that there was an alternative. We spent 3 to 4 hours there and after poking his hands and arms 5 separate times, they still couldnt find a vein. Not only did they seem inexperienced , but the nurses and the doctor seemed to have no bed side manner! The doctor suggested tylenol for diarrhea pains!?! Ive never even heard of adults taking tylenol for stomach pains associated with diarrhea!! Besides that wasnt even an issue. It was to hydrate him!! My poor baby was screaming so much with each attempt to put the IV in and each time it failed they would leave the room for quite some time so he could "calm down", only to return and fail again. His little hand was completely bloody. In the end a nurse came in and gave him water and juice and they seemed to act as if he was all better and they had solved the problem! She was rude and refused to listen to my concerns. He vomited several minutes later! The following day we brought him to the ER and they were able to get the IV in on the first try. One week later, that is the only area where he doesnt have a black and blue. I will never return there!!!

Ive had 2 not so great experiences here. Please dont get me wrong the doctors and nurses are nice but they really have no clue! The only way they treat is if your child has a fever(nurse practictioner told me this). My daughter went there with a terrible cough and other symptoms (no fever). They told me they couldnt treat her it was a virus. They didnt even check for strep or flu. I ended up taking her to her pediatrician the next day and what do you know THE FLU!!!! I totally understand that they do not want children to build up an immunity to antibiotics but come on!! Not happy at all!!! Next visit- (mothers intuition)terrible cough sounded like croup to me. Basically told me shes fine just allergies. Pediatrician next morning- Ended up having croup!!!! Im not a doctor but really come on!!! How do I know more than the doctors there. Never going back again!!!

I had used PM Pediatrics a few times for my son and got decent care. But on my last visit for my infant daughter, everything was awful. The receptionist told us many times that the office took my insurance, since we had forgotten our card. They told us to pay up front $155 and we would be reimbursed. Turns out they were quite wrong and we were out all of that money. But then on to the doctor. We went on to the doctor. We told the doctor that my daughter had acid reflux, he went on to say that my daughter was fine and did nothing. Turns out that my daughters acid reflux was acting up severely and must have been burning her esophagus. I will never again use their service, Id rather wait in the ER next time and actually get a useful diagnosis.

Uknowledgeable staff. Child had problem so I asked for a lab test done and they hadnt even heard of such a thing. Im not a medical professional and Ive known of the test for years, its common knowledge in the lay community. Slow-paced doesnt begin to describe the receptionists. The place may be clean and you are seen right away--but that is probably because they are SO inept they see too few clients to actually pack the place or muss it up. And that seems odd being that they are only one of two urgent care facilities in the entire county covered by my quite common insurance provider. Would not recommend going here unless you have no other option.

They have worked well for many years for all of my kids. The only thing I had a problem with was my son who was about 7 at the time, at fell and needed stiches right below his lower lip. Me and my husband had brought him in and had them give him stiches. It started getting scabbed over. We took my son the his pediatician and he said It was to bad to take out, it would only start bleeding again. He also said my son should have gotten another stich. We had to take my son to a plastic surgen to get his stiches removed. Other then this problem PM pediatrics has worked pretty good.

Awful. On a Sunday night, there is no sense of urgency with sick children. 10 children in the waiting room, a toddler is vomiting all over and the poor parents are left to try and clean up as best they can. I sat there with my son, who was having a hard time breathing, for over 30 minutes and not ONE staff member came out to help them. Not to mention the fact that they were so busy with everyone else, they didnt even bother to find out what was wrong with my child. I left and went to the hospital. An absolute disgrace!!!

First they charge as a specialist - b/c they are considering themselves urgent care...second the physician that saw my daughter couldnt properly explain what the problem was and how to appropriately manage the symptoms. The physician wasnt confident in her diagnosis and was reluctant to provide any medication (which is fine) but also failed to provide non-pharmacologic ways to help my daughters condition...a cold, with cough, and nasal congestion. On top of all this they tell me to follow-up with my pediatrician...no kidding.

We discovered PM Pediatrics when our twins were about a year old. They are now a month shy of 8. They were and still are quite sickly during the winter months. Our service experience has to date been fantastic. The physicians that have treated our children, have been spot on in their diagnosis and treatment. Getting ready to take both kids there now as we suspect they both might have the flu.

We had an emergency last night with our daughter and they were unbelievable. They saw us immediately and took great care of our daughter. The facility seems pretty large so I think they have a great capacity and it was extremely clean. The staff was knowledgeable and very calm. Ive heard wonderful things before from friends and I was glad to see it lived up to its reputation.

I have only been a few times, and have had great experiences here. Super clean, super friendly. Someone calls a few days after your visit to see how your child is. I highly recommend it.
