Dr. Butler obviously cares about dogs and has the best intentions in mind. All the other negative reviews revolve around slow service or something that is relatively miniscule. Our experience, on the other hand, has been a very negative one. We took in our Yorkie (Baby) for a checkup since she had a lump developing on her stomach. It turned out to be a benign tumor. Baby ended up having surgery to have the benign tumor removed. After surgery, Dr. Butler prescribed a cefazolin injection, buprenorphine, metacam oral (0.2ml/24hr), clavamox (0.75ml/12hr), and a fentanyl patch. Baby ended up dying within 12 hours that we got her back after surgery at around 4:00 AM. Dr. Butler performed a necropsy on Baby and could not determine what happened. Prior to passing away, Baby was unusually warm, sweating dramatically, and rapidly breathing. These are all possible side-effects associated with Fentanyl and Clavamox. The biggest issue with Dr. Butler is that she had not warned us of any possible complications that the surgery presented. She made it seem as if it was standard procedure with no risk involved whatsoever. Bottom Line: For surgery or serious issues, youre better off taking your pet to a more professional place. Dr. Butlers prices arent any cheaper.

Ive only ever had one other vet experience, at the ASPCA, and the difference between the two was night and day! I am pleased to report that I had an appointment and was seen within roughly two hours of my initial call. My feline was fixed up and we were outa there within another hour and a half. I see reviews stating that the doctor is slow. I think its more accurate to explain that there is ONE doctor and clearly she can only see ONE patient at a time. The benefit of such a small office is the individualized attention, no judgments and the opportunity to actually establish a relationship with your pets doctor. She actually allowed me to look through the microscope at my cats urine sample while she explained what I was viewing. I found it, not only fascinating, but tremendously useful to have a visual of whats taking place in my cats body. Its certain to help me improve how I care for my fuzzy buddy in the future! I feel very comfortable recommending this vet and Im grateful for the opportunity to have benefited from her expertise :)

Dr Butler is very knowledgeable and terrific with animals. However, when you plan a visit, make sure youve got several hours free and bring a book, as you will be kept waiting for a long while. Ive booked appointments at 9:30 only to be made to wait until 10:45 before actually seeing the vet. If this were a once in a while occurrence I wouldnt mind, but every time I see her I sit in her waiting room for ages. The shortest time Ive ever waiting for an appointment with her was half an hour. Plus, after youre finished with the appointment, you generally end up waiting another half hour at least before they give you your bill. I understand she runs a small office and is one of the only vets in the area, but her time management is terrible, and her staff has no sympathy for the amount of time they waste by processing everything so slowly.

Having moved into the area, I needed to find a new vet for my 10 year old Bolognese. Weve seen dr. Butler twice in the past four months (once for a rabies shot, and recently because of a terrible stomach bug my dog caught) and she was wonderful each time. I can only repeat what others have said before me: she is very caring and professional, and takes all the time needed to really find out about the pet and what the problem might be. Which might be the reason why the waiting time CAN get pretty long; Id made an appointment each time, and spent two hours there for the rabies shot. So, this is definitely something you should be prepared for - but your pet is going to be in good hands.

I took my cat here for the first time last week, and the vet was wonderful. She asked me a lot of questions about my cat, and took the time to listen to everything I had to tell her. She was very thorough, gentle and patient with my cat, who was terrified. I had to wait a long time while I was there, but it was worth it because Dr. Butler took so much time with me. Ive never had a vet that took that much time with my pet.

My last dog nearly died when a vet at here missed repeatedly the signs of a until she had a very serious kidney infection for which she had to be hospitalized for several days and nights and at a cost of about 4k. The ER vet confirmed that a simple round of antibiotics in the beginning would have remedied the situation. Dr. Butler requires more specialized knowledge.

The vet was terrible, took no responsibilities for her actions, blamed my boyfriend for not calling about blood test results when she told him many times she would call, and the test took many days to complete because she was busy and tired. Do not go here. I have worked in many animal clinics and the service was one of the worst. Save your animal and your money.

I recommend everyone to bring their pets to Dr. Butler, she made a miracle and saved my almost dying cat, she is really patient, loving, smart and spends the necessary time with each pet as if it was her own. Her assistants are excellent too. Dr. Butler and her assistants form a great team that exceeds the quality of treatment of any other Animal Hospital around.

Called multiple times to make an appointment and never got a call back. Finally after a week I went in to find the place was packed and the guy at reception seemed overwhelmed. Was able to make an appointment for a week out, but never received a confirmation and ended up going to a different vet.

I had to have my two cats boarded for what I thought would be three days and turned into a week. Staff was very helpful and courteous, they took excellent care of my cats. The cost was reasonable and I will always recommend this hospital for anything pet related. They are the best by far.

Are the best. They saved my puppys life. My dog who is now 5 years old has gone to Dr. Butler since she was a puppy. I brought her there because she had a bad cold. She had much more wrong with her than that. Dr. Butler straightened it out. My dog is 63lbs of healthy now. She is the best.

We are very happy how Maria, our little family member from 17 years has been treated and care. TLC and professionalism, Great vet to bring your babies :) So what if you wait, but if at the end of the day all is well and less stressful Tom and Francisco

Dr. Butler is such an amazing and caring doctor to our dog, Lucille. Shes patient with her, and takes time to explain things to us, as well as listen to our multiple concerns and questions about Lucille. Hands down the best vet Ive ever dealt with.

Amazing amazing doctor. Her and her staff worked really hard to clean my tough boy cats ears and took great care of him - asking all the right questions. No one ever panicked or made us feel like we should worry. Highly recommend
