I have been a patient at Morningside Dental since 2008. I agree with the review stating that the building is a bit scary and a complete turnoff. However over the past years, I thought the dental care was good, and they have convenient evening hours. However my last appointment (a basic 6 month checkup), I left my insurance card by mistake. Just as I was going to call the office the next day, the office called me and left a voicemail saying they had my card. So I called the office and at first the receptionist sounded a bit confused, saying was I sure I had the right Morningside Dental, but then I guess a lightbulb went off in her head, and she said they indeed had my card and would send it in the mail. So fast-forward 7 weeks, I had a dental emergency, which would require the card, and it dawned on me that the office never mailed the card. So I called, and the receptionist who answered the phone basically said that they dont have my card, and dont even remember calling me or anything of that sort, which I truly couldnt believe. I understand that it was my fault for leaving the card, and perhaps I should have followed-up sooner, but I was truly dumbfounded that no one had any recollection of my card or that I had asked to have it mailed to me. The receptionist did offer to contact my insurance company to get a new card, but I of course told her I dont trust this office to do anything on my behalf, and they have lost me as a patient.

From the moment I stepped out of the 125th train station, in the corner of 125th and St. Nicholas, I thought to myself, "Finally after almost 21 years in Brooklyn New York Ive come to a place full of rich history. From a distance I saw the Apollo Theater and all the stores that adorn 125th street, I felt like a tourist for a moment. Because I had an appointment with Morningside Dental Care, I had to wait to go sight seeing. As I went into the the office, I felt the warmth of a family owned business. From the receptionist, the dental assistants, Dr. Williams, and the treatment coordinator, I was treated as if I was part of the family. The more I talked to each one in the office, the more I felt comfortable. I was very excited about their knowledge and professionalism. I was scheduled to do my cleaning which by the way the best cleaning Ive had. The hygienist was great and educated me as well, I didnt realized there was so much more than just brushing. All in all, the experience in Morningside Dental Care was wonderful. I cant wait to go back for the follow-up. Im going to recommend them to my family and friends.

How i found my way to Dr. Williams ,was after visiting another dentist about my bleeding gums. This dentist told me that my treatment would be in the form of cutting of the gums. I asked of I could go to sleep for this procedure and his response was no,right then I knew I most look for someone else. I heard of laser surgery a few years ago and I started contacting other dental offices, but, noone performed laser. I searched the internet and found 2 in manhattan Dr. Williams was one and only a few blocks from where I live. IM a nervous nelly type person and almost backed out of going after making the appointment,but my gums were in trouble, so I kept my appointment My first visit assured me that I had made the right choice. Dr. Williams understood my fear and examined me. She informed me of what I needed and why I needed it. Dr. Williams also stated that she had something to help relax me while she performed surgery(shes truthful too!). Im in love with the service and feel very comfortable. Dr.Williams and Team has taken good care of me and put me on the path to being healthy.

While this review is long overdue, it is still so very accurate - Dr. Williams is an excellent doctor! She not only did an magnificent job on my teeth, she took the time out of her busy schedule to consult me on a personal matter. Shes easy to talk to and has a general concern for your entire lifestyle to be healthy. She has managed to get my children to brush their teeth consistently and my eight-year old actually cares about his dental hygiene!! The office is extremely clean and organized, the staff are very nice and scheduling appointments is easy (they actually work with you). As far as the technology factor, it is unlike any other dental office Ive been too! They send you texts about your appointments as well as updates about events that are taking place. They can create teeth right in the office in a matter of minutes! In this day in age you rarely find doctors that are excellent at what they do and are personable. My smile is back both on the inside and outside and I have Donna to thank!

OMG, after reading several different reviews about Morningside Dental, I was so skeptical about coming. I had such a bad tooth ache and this office was the closest office to me that was open, so I decided to go anyway. My experience was soooooo much better than I anticipated. I was welcomed from the moment I walked through the door and I have been a patient here for more than 6 months now. I live in Brooklyn, and for me to go all the way uptown for a dental appointment says a lot. Ms. Latoya has ALWAYS been direct and informative when it comes to payment and payment options, Dr. Malnik and the rest of the dental staff has been so warm and welcoming and just a true joy to visit. I am so happy I made the choice to ignore the poor reviews and go for myself. I have been recommending this office to everyone I know searching for a dentist, and I will continue to do so!!

Very upset with what happened today. I made an appointment on August 4th and specifically asked if they take my insurance and provided them with my plan name and ID number and they said, yes, they take my insurance and so I made an appointment. I came today to get my problem taken care of and they said nope, dont take my insurance after all and tried to get me to pay over $200 upfront for a filling to fix a small cavity that I need to get taken care of ASAP. I made my appointment here because its in my neighborhood and I had a good experience here back in 2012. I also wanted a Saturday appointment so that this wouldnt interfere with work. I will never come back here or recommend this place again though as their customer service is appalling. The technician was very sweet and kind though, the problem is with the office staff.

Im very insecure about the way I look so it took for me to be in severe pain to go to the dentist and while the staff did do a good job I didnt like the fact that this place was to open where anyone could walk by and while they where fixing my teeth I didnt want to here about anyone having a migraine or the fact they didnt eat are telling some one come on in join the party and the fact it took over a hour to be seen good thing I learned how to always have a smile on your face no matter how bad your hurting well the dentist may be experienced I do not recommend this place they are overpriced and the wait is to long also why would you cancel my appointment at the last minute and have me walk around with a temporary crown for three weeks
