SPEAR Physical Therapy at Broad Street is a truly special and spectacular place. First, the culture of the office is closer to a group of friends (which you are invited to join!) rather than a clinic. Everyone who works there greets you by name when you walk in. Everyone is always smiling and so, so nice (even at 7:30 am on a Monday!). Everyone is clearly friends with each other, and that positivity transforms the experience from a series of stretches and strengthening exercises to an exciting way to start the day. Second, Nicole (my therapist) was both skilled and kind. She always knew which exercises would be best for my shoulder, how intensely I should push the exercise, and when I should come in next. She is constantly learning new techniques (like cupping and new stretches), and is eager to use the new techniques to improve my condition. She is always able to pinpoint the specific area of pain and work together to solve it. She also invested not just in impactful sessions together, but in educating me on how to take care of my shoulder longer-term through continual stretches and strengthening that will keep my shoulder healthy over the long-run. Through it all, she was fun to spend time with! Third, all of the other therapists and team members are always watching out for you. They would correct my technique, make sure I knew what I was doing next, or just check-in to make sure everything was going smoothly. I always felt cared for and looked after by everyone on the team. I first came to Spear for pain in shoulder where I was having muscle spasms. I am leaving stronger, knowledgeable about how to care for my shoulder, and grateful for the energy and care of the team. Thank you Spear!

Spear Physical Therapy at 30 Broad Street has been a second home to me for the past several months. It is a well-designed, brand new facility with an amazing team of professional, friendly and committed physical therapists and support staff. I bounced around multiple physical therapists following a train accident resulting in a shattered pelvis and hip. Upon arrival during my first visit to Spear, I was greeted by the extremely helpful front desk team who immediately connected me to Amir who then listened to my whole saga and provided much needed reassurance that Spear could help. I was able to immediately book in with my physical therapist, Domenic (Dom!). I’ve seen Dom 4-5 times/ week for the past three months and he is the reason I can now climb stairs and tie my shoes. He took on my unique and challenging case with much needed determination and positive outlook. Dom’s expertise coupled with his great attitude has helped turn a personally challenging experience into a hopeful and even enjoyable one. He is very flexible with scheduling, never overbooks and always gives me the necessary 1:1 personal attention to help me progress. He explains his approaches and techniques and listens to what is bothering me in order to tailor our sessions. Denise and Deanna (PT assistants) are also very knowledgeable and helpful and contribute to making it a great PT experience overall. I have a long journey of PT ahead and I count myself lucky I found Dom and the entire Spear staff at Broad street – they truly put their patients first and are what make this place one of a kind!

My experience at Spear has been absolutely sensational and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a Physical Therapy Clinic. Im currently working with Sarah Tabia and she has totally helped me with my torn labrum. Sarah promised me that she would not only help me but I would be stronger then before. With her help Im almost back to full health and in a short period of time. She is very knowledgable and has held me accountable in doing my physical therapy homework and giving full effort when I come in. Without her I can honestly say I wouldnt be where I am today and for that Im truly happy to have her as my Physical Therapist. When you first walk into Spear you are greated by the Care Coordinators. Not only are they professional, responsible and respectful they will have you laughing and enjoying yourself the moment you walk in. They are the most positive and energetic people I have ever been around. The Aides that assists the Physical therapist are always on the ball. They will help you with your form which is critical with your recovery and make sure your session goes as smoothly as possible. I have never seen them not attentive or engaging with patients. Overall I highly recommend Spear Physical Therapy and if I could give them more then 5 stars I would.

I cannot say enough about how incredible my experience at Spear was. In a story worthy turn of events, I have spent the past 8 month at Spear recovering from ACL surgery. Not only did Nicole set me up with a fantastic surgeon, someone shed worked with and trusted, she walked me through every step of the pre- and rehab process. She was honest about the ups and downs of recovery, constantly asked questions about how I was feeling, and even when I was traveling for work, she checked in to make sure I was doing my exercises. Even through the pain and emotional toll of recovery, there was never a day with Nicole where I didnt end up laughing hysterically or was genuinely happy to be there. Spear became my second home and the team there another family. Despite Nicole heading the recovery ship, everyone there played a huge role and I am incredibly grateful for the care ad compassion everyone showed me while I was there. The Spear teams energy and zest for helping people is contagious. And while Nicole and I joked about being "besties," she really has become a huge part of my life. Im so thankful shes been there for every step of this journey. Should another twisted turn of events require another round of rehab, I know exactly where I will be going.

After spending two weeks in bed with unbearable sciatica, I was referred to Spear PT by my doctor. I felt massive trepidation about spending time with what I imagined to be fit athletes, judging my lack of physical fitness, while trying to cajole me into a series of uncoordinated attempts at exercise. I went anyway, despite my prediction, because I couldnt tolerate the pain any more. I arrived at Spear wearing my sad shorts and ill fitting t-shirt, feeling nervous and very small. However, I was quickly made incredibly welcome by the entire team. But my special angel, my light of lights, my savior sent from heaven was my physical therapist, Nicole Savarese. How do you quantify a cool spring breeze, or a rainbow shining through a cloudy sky? You cant and I wont even try. Nicole effortlessly made me feel like I belonged at Spear and continues to do so every Tuesday and Thursday. Im not a special unicorn. She does this to everyone she works with. Shell make you feel that way, too. She cant help it, and I dont think any one who works there can, either. Theyre each and every one of them warm and kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Theyll make you happy to be there and I cant recommend this place enough.

The Spear location at 30 Broad is a brand new facility with amazing staff and therapists. The office is not overcrowded as they do not overbook and there is always a positive vibe with great music playing. David Block was a big reason I made the progress I did. He specializes in the back and took a consultative approach to treating me. If something wasnt working, he had another plan of action right away. He was very flexible with scheduling and always available via email of phone if I had any questions. Denise and Deanna (the PT assistants) were great to work with as well. They were always so positive, friendly and willing to help. I also got a couple medical massages from Sandra and there are no words to describe how good she is at what she does. I walked out of those massages feeling like a new person. Overall, I really looked forward to going to PT every week and was truly sad when I had my last appointment (happy that I was feeling better but sad to be leaving PT). Spear and all of its staff really care about their patients and very knowledgeable. I know that if I ever have a flare up or need PT again, I will be going back to Spear.
