Dear Dr. Siegel, I saw you talking on Fox Business News earlier today discussing urgent care clinics and their increased cost to healthcare. To keep this short and sweet, not all urgent cares are the same. Mine in particular treats multiple ailments per day with a moderate acuity level, which includes some continuity until we complete treatment of the specific problems or refer the patient to the appropriate specialist. We are also a great resource to establish primary care physicians for our patients. I take high offense to your statement of urgent care physicians not being as smart or as well-trained as other physicians. I myself am a highly-trained and well-qualified physician who chose this specialty for its flexible hours and high pay. I can say the same for my esteemed colleagues, who are all US-trained, board certified physicians. Dealing with the current issues in healthcare is hard enough without attacking our own kind. Sincerely, Rebecca Alsip, DO proud urgent care physician *Rating was obtained through Zocdoc in order to publish

Your slate article was disgusting. Athletes are indeed role models, and should be strong enough to turn down fame in order to protect their fans. This ignorance and offence of this statement left me shocked " How many pregnant women are infected by a virus that only causes symptoms 20 percent of the time, and how many of these fetuses will become afflicted by exposure to Zika? We don’t know. Instead, we talk about every young woman as though she has a pregnancy about to happen (even though most women can control the if and when of becoming pregnant), and we wrongly imagine that any pregnancy in a Zika-affected area will almost certainly end in birth defects." I honestly hope you have no female patients. They deserve better healthcare than you, and you should tell them that.

Heard him say ‘Do they really need a wheelchair?’ As an MD appearing on Fox News, Dr. Seigel reveals his prejudice about medicaid recipients. My question is, does this bigot really need a platform?
