I hope that this is the ravingest rave review that has ever been written because Dr. Coniglio is a ROCKSTAR. I have a special needs son who has had constant issues with his mouth and he was in so much pain! Dr. C. went above and beyond to make sure my son was out of pain as soon as possible- and he is gentle, kind, knowledgeable, compassionate and absolutely a friend to the special needs community as well as every frightened child who needs skill and kindness combined. My son is home resting comfortably from the hospital because Dr. Coniglio got him an emergency appointment in the O.R on HIS day off, and he fixed everything. He listened to my every word and included me in my sons treatment options and plan. He genuinely cares! I have had multiple conversations with people who fear taking their child to a dentist because of lack of compassion or even judgement being passed- and I am so grateful that I have never experienced anything like that at Suffolk Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Coniglio should 100% be the pediatric dentist to every child in the area but especially the special needs kids! My son will be a patient of Dr. Cs until he throws us out

The dental hygentist did not have any patience with my 5 year old son. The hygentist expected him to understand how to use the saliva suction and water and got agrivated with him when he didnt close his mouth. My son was not having a melt down, he wasnt throwing a fit, he was confused and scared. instead of giving me a moment to calm my son down she interrupted me and immediately insisted I restrain him. I thought my son reacted to the situation like any young child would. It was only his 2nd dentist appointment in his life. I asked her if she was running behind? (She answered No, by the way) I told her that I was uncomfortable with way she handled the situation. I also told her I dont want my son fearful of the dentist. I think she realized she was wrong. The dentist made up for her behavior. He walked in the room with all smiles and did his job professionally. I Explained to the front desk I wasnt comfortable how the hygienist handled my son. Then I agreed to make his 6 month appointment with a different hygienist. Well see what happens.

Although I was very appreciative that they were able to fit my child in, the doctor was very brusque and kept telling her that he had other patients to see. She was panicked about having to have a filling. This was her first time having that kind of procedure and knew nothing about it, nor what to expect beyond what I was able to explain. He wanted to give her the sweet air to calm her down as she was crying and her heart was racing. Most fear is due to not knowing what to expect. If he had just tried to explain what the sweet air was and how it was to be administered, she would have been much more calm. We finally got her to relax enough to get the sweet air on. The doctor then left to work with another patient for about 10 minutes. When he came back, he was much better with her but then of course the sweet air made her a much better patient. Not very happy about that experience.

Todays appointment was terrible. My daughters appointment was scheduled for 2:30 and the assistant brought her in about 20 minutes late, which is typical for that office and now expected. Once they brought her in, the Dr put her on the gas, got her numb and extracted a baby tooth that took 15 seconds. After that the Dr left the treatment room for her to "continue to get numb". He didnt return for at least 45 minutes, with an excuse about an emergency. My main complaint is that my daughter sat on the gas UNNECESSARILY for almost an hour. Usually things are hectic, the Dr is almost always late, but weve gotten used to that. Weve grown to like the staff and doctors and most appointments are not like this. Todays appointment was exceptionally bad. Hopefully when we go back, things will be more organized.

The ladies were so amazingly wonderful that I feel guilty leaving only 3 stars. Dr. Tom was such a terrible dr to be working with children, or even humans for that matter. He rushed, seemed bothered, and never cracked a smile. I filled out forms before our apt where I asked to discuss my sons nail biting, but he clearly didnt read them because he never asked about it or if I had any concerns. And I was so overwhelmed by the time we in the room that I completely forgot to bring it up. He should consider a different career. And one of the front desk ladies was so rude and also seemed bothered to be at work. Awful.

Robert was soooooo excited about his visit! This was his 1st time with Kathy the hygienist. He said that she was so nice, very gentle and that he couldnt wait until his next visit to see her again! Hes so excited about the instructions she gave him to follow at home And is now focusing on the importance of proper oral hygiene! Dr. Bob has always been one of his favorites and loves to see him and talk about his fish! Dr. Bob has that awesome connection with him that makes him feel like he is with family!

Great experience my 10 year old enjoys going for cleanings and check ups. They ask your child if the are brushing and caring for their teeth. My son had no new cavities this visit and had only one tiny surface spot of decay last visit. They asked him about his diet and Im happy to report that he proudly said he doesnt drink soda or eat sweets too often. He knows that he has to floss better between his front teeth which he will do because they told him and not me!

I went here to get two of my top row teeth pulled and the experience was painless and easy! The shots were uncomfortable, yet still, painless because of the gel they put, and when they pulled my teeth all I heard was a crack and thats it! It took around 30 seconds for them to take out my teeth so it was very straightforward and simple! Overall, this place is a 5 star pediatric dentist, in my opinion.

Dr.C was fantastic with the kids. Both need a treatment plan and he made us all feel at ease. He was very knowledgable and personable. This was our first visit bc I had become unhappy at our previous dentist and we will be sticking around! I loved the dental hygienist, she pointed out things my old dentist had never even mentioned. Thanks for making the dentist easy breezey for my kids!!

My children and I love your office. Everyone is always working hard to satisfy the patients. Keep up the great work. I drive all the way to Port Jefferson. I know there is and office closer, but my son with Aspergers hates change, he demands he goes to port Jefferson. He loves you all and you make him feel comfortable. Thank you so much.
