WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS VET TO ANYONE! Unprofessional, arrogant, the worst rated vet compared to other vets in the Springs. The owner is John Boley DVM. He will talk down to you, encroach in your personal space to show his authority. He will distort facts to hide his unprofessional arrogant and hostile behavior. I wish I could have read the following review before going there! I am so sorry the Boswell s went through that. Joshua Boswell 9 months ago We recently got our 8 week old lab puppy in January and she had no previous shots. My wife called and asked how much it would be to get her puppy shots and the receptionist told us that the regular price would be something outrageously high. However, if we did the "Puppy Package" we would end up saving over $100 and our puppy would be covered for a year. The puppy package included all of her health needs, nail trimming, and seemed on the outside like a great $250 option (sarcasm). I should have known that this was going to be the first scam. Upon arriving there was no other customers there with their pets which seemed odd. We didnt think much of it since the receptionist was friendly and went back to the exam room to wait for Dr. Boley. Dr. Boley talked to my wife and I, both of us having prior experience with animals, like we were complete novices with our puppy. This upset my wife and I greatly, but we simply thought he was overly concerned for our puppys health and well-being. We returned after four weeks for her second round of puppy shots and were told we had to pay an additional $50 for heart-worming medication that we believed was encompassed in the ever so glamorous Puppy Package. He continually pushed us to purchase dental needs even though she was only 12 weeks old and has exceptionally healthy teeth. We declined and returned four weeks later for her third, and apparently last visit (so much for a year of coverage). My wife went by herself for this appointment since I was at work and the vet tech pushed her to buy yet another service which she declined. My wife also mentioned to the vet that she wanted to find a calming agent for our puppy since she is a little high-spirited and the vet talked down to her like she was a moron with intentions to mistreat our dog. Dr. Boley and his staff look at the animals they are charged to take care of as meager dollar signs. Time and time again he pushed pet insurance, dental packages, and obedience training on us all of which we declined. After we would decline these services we were given the cold shoulder and quickly dismissed from our appointment. We were foolish enough the bring our cat in for her annual booster shots and they wanted to give her blood work and put her to sleep for a simple shot. We declined all of this and left, instead going to the Bijou Animal Hospital. I beg you, for the sake of your animals and your bank accounts, please do not frequent this business. After much research by my wife and myself weve decided to take all of our pets to Bijou Animal Hospital where Dr. Colvin legitimately cares for our pets and the prices are unbeatable. Theyve even performed services we didnt request for free just because it was beneficial for our pets. Screw AHCS, go BAH. Here is another one! Michelle Mitchell a year ago A puppy in pain comes to your facility and you wont even administer pain meds until the USA soldier can pay the entire bill? Then, instead of helping you advise the soldier to take it to the humane society? You are disgusting! I have 4 dogs and would never take them to you. You have shown where your heart is, which is dollar signs instead of compassion!!! You are disgusting!

AVOID this place! They are crooks and con artists not caring health professionals. The receptionist/office manager was very nice on the phone making an appt to see my injured dog and the care she received seemed good at first however 5 days after the procedure my dog was still limping. The vet had called to report the test results and to check on her when I informed her of the limp. She told me to bring her back in a day or so if the limp continued. On day 7 after the weekend I returned to the office to find another fee was expected to see her for the follow-up. My dog entered this vet with a limp and after a $450.00 procedure left with a limp. It is the treating vets responsibility to ensure the procedure was successful. The office manager and I got into it regarding the fee. Never once did she express concern or that she cared at all for the well being of my dog. She just wanted the money. I had already been concerened with some of the practices I had witnessed regarding money. My original quote was $230.00 or 450.00 depending on what i wanted to do for my pet. I choose to skip the laser treatment. However 30 mins after we left our dog in their care I recieved a phone call asking for authorization for additional treatment. In hind sight I should have said no, however I am not the vet, and I trusted the information I was getting and trusted that my dogs health was the focus not my money. So I eneded up paying 450.00 and no laser treatment. I suspect her wound not healing properly would have lead to the use of the laser at a later visit and more money. I do not trust these people at all. I do not know why my dog is still limping but I know in my gut that she is not healed so that i wouold have to bring her back for additional treatment. I also witnessed another customer in the office today that was quoted 150.00 and who was then charged 350.00. She broke down in tears and could not understand what had happened. It was heartbreaking. Vet care is hard enough to find the money for. It is not too much to expect a vets office to put the animal first and do what is medically required. It is sad and it sickens me. These people need to be shut down!!!!!!! I am filing with the BBB and I have already contacted the media in our area. Please be warned.
