Unfortunately, we had a very rough appointment with Trussville Pediatric Dentistry. My daughter required a filling and we contacted this office about completing the procedure. My 6 year old was nervous about the appointment and the assistant did not take any time to try and put her mind at ease. They insisted on taking bitewing x-rays, which hurt her mouth. When she cried and resisted they basically shoved the film in her mouth and held it closed while they completed the x-rays. When the dentist came in he did a quick exam. When he got close to the tooth my daughter jumped and touched his arm because she was afraid it would hurt. He told her very sternly to "PUT HER ARMS DOWN". He then advised us that he didnt feel like a filling was best at this time and because of her "behavior" he felt he needed to put her to sleep at the hospital and just go ahead and do a crown. To be a pediatric dentist they sure lacked the patience and ability to work with children. I wouldnt recommend this place to people that have children that are slightly anxious about dental procedures. After leaving this appointment, I cant image the anxiety she will have when we go to have a second opinion. OH, and you should know that they will not let you be back in the room with your small children while they are doing the procedures. They would have asked me to leave the room when they started doing her filling.

Dr Massey is very unprofessional. Children should not be lied to, and he does. It works the first time but for some children that lie will be remembered. Dont tell a child if you need your parent we will get them if you have no intention of doing so. He also has very little patience with a child dealing with fear and calling him out on his lie. He should not be in a profession of serving the public. He has no humility. I have 8 grown children and plenty of doctor/dentist experience and have never been treated so rudely and unprofessional. The hygienist and assistant are great! Very caring and helpful. The office people not so much. If you dont want children playing , remove the slide and add a table, chairs and books. Maybe an aquarium. But he "Doesnt need me to tell him how to run his business."

Do your kids a favor and take them to Trussville Pediatric Dentistry for your dental care. Dr. Massey is the absolute best pediatric dentist! His staff is always friendly, courteous, and helpful. Every time we come to his office, they greet us with a smile and are eager to get you in/out quickly. Going to the dentist can be a nerve-wracking experience for the kidos, but Dr. Massey creates an environment that makes it easy. He has been practicing in Trussville for the past 10 years or so, and so hes got a lot of experience. Hes great at dealing with anxious or upset kids and he knows how to deal with anxious or upset parents too. :) Our kids love Dr. Massey and we will never change. So glad we have him here in Trussville!!

We LOVE our experience with Trussville Pediatric Dentistry. Weve been going to them for 5+ years and both of my children are patients of Dr. Massey and his staff. My youngest isnt fond of the dentist and the ENTIRE STAFF is very patient with her. I even have a picture of one of the hygienists sitting on the sidewalk outside their office talking to her at a previous appointment when she wouldnt even enter the building. Adorable play area for the little ones and movies to entertain while you wait and as the children are in the chair. Highly recommended.

The entire practice is extremely rude and does not know how to communicate. They have policies in place to attempt to protect the employees with no accountability for their actions or patients rights. I am sorry but as a service provider, you are the employee of the customer, you should be held accountable for your actions, and you should respect each and every patient that comes through your door. If you are looking for a fun, welcoming, and respectful place for your kids dentistry - This is NOT the place you are looking for.

As a mom of 4 young children and being a pediatric health care provider myself, I have very high expectations in the type care provided by medical professionals. Dr. Massey and his staff are all extremely courteous and professional. One of my girls is very resistant to having her teeth cleaned, but they are always very sweet and patient with her. I really appreciate the fun and friendly atmosphere provided by the staff. I would highly recommend Dr. Massey and all his staff to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist!

My three boys have been going to this dentist office for about a year and a half. Every time we go to this dentist they complain about the Hygienists being rough when their teeth are being cleaned. I was very surprised because they never complained in the past. You would think that as a Pediatric Dentistry office the Hygienists would be gentle. Experiences as a child influence whether or not they continue to go to the dentist when they are older. I would not recommend this office to anyone with children.

The whole staff at this office is so kind and down to earth. They are very welcoming. We went in for just a toothache and they were able to treat 2 cavities on the spot without having to return for the work. Absolutely love this dental practice and recommend it for anyone with children. Great play area in lobby, t-shirts for new patients, movies playing in lobby and above dental chairs, as well as goody bags and tokens to use on machines with prizes inside on the way out.

We love Trussville Pediatric Dentistry! My oldest child had a bad experience at another dentist office when he was young, and he is ok with going to the dentist again thanks to Dr. Massey and the AMAZING hygienists at Trussville. And thanks to the staff there, my other children have only had wonderful experiences at the dentist. They look forward to their appointments!

We absolutely LOVE Trussville Pediatric Dentistry! Both of my children, 7 and 4 years old have seen Dr. Massey since they were 2. Our hygienist, Krista, is truly wonderful. The ladies in the office are so helpful with understanding how the insurance works too! I HIGHLY recommend Trussville Pediatric Dentistry!

I have always had wonderful experiences with Dr. Massey and his staff but today was outstanding! I have a daughter who is extremely anxious and had to have four teeth pulled. Dr. Massey and Ms. Donna went out of their way to take care of her and assure her before the procedure. She was all smiles when we left!

The staff was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The office environment was was very spaceous and welcoming. My 10 year old couldnt resist the indoor play area. The doctor and dental assistant were both very good at calling my dgt in her first visit and the procedure was explained to me step by step.

My kids have been coming to Pediatric Dentistry since 2008. The best Pediatric Dentist and staff in Alabama. No waiting Always friendly, caring, concerned. Exams Are always complete. My children all have beautiful smiles and very health teeth thanks To Dr. Willingham and staff.
