We have been going to this office for almost two years, because Dr. Nason was recommended to us. However, she never saw my son and always the PA would treat him. I switched to another doctor earlier this year, because I was not happy about the PA forgetting some important health-related factors within the family. At the first well-child visit at the new doctor (we had two with Desert Shores Pediatrics the years prior), it came to light that our son has severe amblyopia and is near blind on the right eye. According to the pediatric ophtalmologist this is not a recent development and could (by all means, should) have been noticed at least a year ago. "Lazy Eye" I learn is treatable if diagnosed, however is also the most common cause of monocular blindness (if neglected).

Thank Heaven for this Practice!! They have taken care of my two children for the past two years. I had been with my previous Pediatrician for 13 years and left after he said nothing was wrong with my son and gave us a card for a Psychiatrist. later to find out that my son had a brain tumor!!! Desert Shores was wonderful and sent us to Phoenix Children s to have the very best surgeons to care for him. Dr. Ciminello and Chantelle Lassak made sure that everything was checked and took time with us. I Love this practice. I have a healthy 15yr son who feels comfortable to talk to his Dr. which means everything. Thank you again!!

Ive been going to this location for a year now with my son. The staff is friendly, it seems clean, and the location is great for me. One positive is they can always get me in last minute. However, Ive had multiple occasions where my appointment time is 20-30 minutes before Im actually seen by a doctor or aide so Im sitting in an exam room with no toys and a sick infant! This is by no means atypical of a doctors office, but youd think since were dealing with kids here, theyd be better at not overbooking and being on schedule. I hate being that parent that leaves the exam room to ask when the doctor will be there - I really do.

We have been going to another pediatrician for a long time and I was pretty happy with the doctor (he did a great job figuring out my four year old had appendicitis while my other one had the stomach flu -- saved her life potentially) and my girls were comfortable. Now, hitting puberty my girls want a woman doctor, so we searched for another office. We finally found Desert Shores thanks to two of our friends who also go there and I am SO pleased with the office itself and Dr. Nason.
