I have been with this practice for 13 years. I have always been pleased with the level of care and the service. The providers answer my questions and concerns in a non condescending way even when I pull my Google Dr. on them. About 8 years ago my asthmatic child was very sick during the holidays. I called the after hours service since the office was closed (it was a holiday) and Theresa called me back right away. Theresa told me based on the symptoms my child should be seen right away and my only alternative was the ER. By the end of our conversation she asked if I could just meet her at the office in 30 minutes. She didnt want to make me sit in the ER for 9 hours with a sick child. She brought her young children, opened the office in her pajamas and treated my daughter. Unfortunately, that type of service is rare these days but very much appreciated.

Ive been with Dr. Bishop and Step By Step Pediatrics ever since my daughter was born (almost 9 years ago) and I have never had a negative experience. We usually see Theresa or Dr. Bishop (though weve seen everyone at one time or another) and they are always very comforting to my little girl, so much so that my daughter has never been afraid of an appointment, even to have shots! The front desk has always been helpful and when information has been requested, they have been right on top of it. Ive also had to call after hours a few times and I always get a call back within the hour. When my daughter is sick, they ALWAYS see her the same day. Almost 9 years and never a complaint? That says something about the staff and the level of service they provide. I highly recommend Step By Step!

Wow! Apparently there are two different methods of approaching pediatric care from a doctors standpoint: 1) You are there to assist the parents with health issues and make sure that the child is in good health or 2) You assume that the parent doesnt know anything and tell them how to raise their child. Unfortunately, I experienced the latter with Doctor Peterson. The entire well child check up consisted of her barking orders at me on what I have to do for my child. She didnt ask my opinion once and apparently assumed that I was ignorant. Perhaps the other doctors are not like this at this facility, but unfortunately I do not want to find out.

I just moved to the area and after extensive search for a doctor I decided with Step by Step Pediatrics. I couldnt have made a better choice because EVERYONE at the office has been friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The appointment set up was fast and easy (just be prepared with your info) , the medical assistant was Super Nice, my kids loved her and Dr Julie Peterson is the best!!!!!! Not only did she educate us by giving us valuable information but took her time, answered all my questions and concerns. I have a 4&7 yr old. Never felt rushed during the appointment. I will MOST DEFINITELY recommend Step by Step Pediatrics.

My daughter has been there 4 times in the last 5 months for the same issue and I keep getting told "its a sore throat and its normal." I went to see a specialist and was told she has tonsillitis. I feel that the Drs at Step by Step have never had a real concern or have done anything to even attempt to diagnose and if they did a thorough job they could have caught it rather than pushing us off like everything was "normal."

I can strongly recommend Dr. Peterson because of the love and dedication she has shown toward children and the field of Pediatrics. Ive been a part of the profession for almost 20 years and have never seen any physician more dedicated. Thanks Dr. Julie ;)) You will always be incredible to me!!!

Weve been going here for two and a half years with both our kiddos. Theyre always running on time and the entire staff is a pleasure to work with. The medical staff definitely makes us feel like our children are well taken care of.

They didnt know how to assist me with my toddlers issues. Sent us on a wild goose chase for what turned out to be nothing but normal two-year-old behaviour. Always good to get a 2nd opinion.
