We started bringing my son here from his first infant well visit until we moved in September. I liked him because he was quick and not an alarmist, which balanced my tendency to over worry. When we moved to Oregon, I called and told Jerry we would be cancelling our scheduled well visit for October, and that we would be calling at some point in the next week or so to have his records sent over to us. That was September 2014. Since then, we received a $300 bill that was not itemized and for which there was no explanation. I have tried calling SINCE SEPTEMBER to clear this up, and to get my sons records so we can transfer care and keep up with his immunizations appropriately with his vaccine history. He is far overdue for another well visit but we need records. I feel like Dr. B sent out bills then retired! Every single time I call I get an answering service or another pediatrician who says "hello?" And doesnt even tell you who they are until you ask. When I get his other answering service they are completely useless. They cant get records, they cant put you through to or tell you how to reach him, they just repeatedly tell me he is out of town and they dont know when he will be back. They tell you when his office is open (only 3 days a week). I have called every day he is supposedly in his office since then and either get an operator message that the line is disconnected, no answer, or through to yet another answering service or different pediatrician. This is beyond frustrating. I cant even imagine how frustrating for a family in an emergency. For me, my other concern is that my son my have an emergency and his emergency physician would ask for the medical records that I cannot get. I was never given an email or any other way to reach Dr B besides the phone. 4 months is an exorbitant amount of time to unsuccessfully make contact with your childs physician. I really liked Dr B while still in his care, but since our move, and this billing, records, and contactability issue, I am at my wits end. I did not want to write a negative review of my experience with a doctor who was pretty good while we lived there, but I am pretty desperate to get on his radar somehow and this has become my last resort. If you want your child to be seen in an emergency, I recommend finding a doctors office with better communication policies.

This office is a joke! Dr. Borgenicht saw my daughter and her baby in the hospital after she delivered. We had no intention of going to his office because I had heard so many awful complaints about how his office handles billing issues. Including the fact that they sent my manager to collections for a bill that she had paid in full! My daughter received a bill from them for the full amount because they didnt have the babies insurance on file. She called and provided them with the insurance information. A month later she received another bill. I called and informed them that the baby was effective under the insurance at the time of service and had Jerry the only person that must be employed by Dr. Borgenicht look into the information she had on file for my grandson. She stated that the insurance number she had was incorrect (how this happend is beyond me when my daughter called them directly and gave them the number off of her insurance card). She said she would fix it and rebill it. Now another month later my daughter receives another bill stating that the insurance denied the claim. I have now tried contacting their office since 8am this morning and it is now noon. No one aswers their phone!! You get a voicemail that states Jerry is away from her desk and to leave a message and she will call you back. All I can say is if I had a child this would be the last office I would take them to! I guess I will drive over to their office and see if anyone can help resolve this billing nightmare before my daughter is sent to collections!

We started taking our daughter to Dr. Borgenicht about four months ago. Our first visit wasnt bad, but as our daughters acid reflux worsened, we desired to bring it up to him. It was very disappointing to see that he was as ignorant about acid reflux as we were. Dr. Borgenicht initially prescribed a medication that didnt work and thats when the problems started. He became impossible to get a hold of. My wife would have to call his office many times before he would call back. When he finally called back it was just to say "I am doing research on the matter, I will get back to you". He only works two or three days a week which would make it even harder to get a hold of. This went on for several weeks, meanwhile, our daughter was in severe discomfort and even pain due to her serious case of acid reflux. Two months after the initial prescription my wife and I desired to go to Clinic 6 at the U. One of the doctors quickly identified her problem, prescribed the proper tests to diagnose her and efficiently recommended the right drug to solve her problem. Acid reflux isnt a complicated condition, but Dr. Borgenichts lack of knowledge and professionalism made our experience really frustrating. I deeply regret taking our baby with this doctor. Another issue that I believe is important to mention is that their office repeatedly billed the wrong insurance.

My kids have seen Dr. Borgenicht since my eldest was born. She is now 13 and my youngest is 6. I love this man. He has been great with my children. We once went somewhere else when he was out of town and I wont make that mistake again. Besides loving him and Gerri I love how personal his office is. Its small and there are never a million people running around. My longest wait has been 5 minutes if that. One of the best things is being squeezed in when I have an emergency. Kids dont always give you a heads up when sick and they have always been accommodating. He is a calm & study one when Ive felt nutty and stressed. He has empathy & listens. He has cut his practice down but Ive begged him not to retire till my kids are grown.

He has been a wonderful doctor for my children. I highly recommend he especially if you are alternative minded. He respects natural medicine approach and had been there for us when we have needed the medical community without judgment. We also love his sence of humor and the fact that he takes the time to chat with my kids. Btw if you are looking for him he moved to Sunnyside Pediatrics in Salt Lake

This Dr.s office is IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of! I have called so many times to pay off her bill and they are NEVER there. When my daughter was born her was the pediatrician at the hospital at the time. He was so disconnected, didnt tell me anything about her. Came in twice touched her belly and said she is good, then would walk out.

I took my granddaughter to see Dr. Borgenicht for a well-child visit and he was very sensitive to her apprehension of seeing another new face in her recent life-circumstance changes. He seems great with a shy child and offered assistance if we should need it in our new living arrangements.
