Wow and Wow. In my 36 years of living, I have never experienced anything as horrific as my experience today at Camelback healthcare . I am stunned at how rude and unprofessional these so called healthcare "professionals" are. My apt today was for bio identical hormones. From the moment that I signed in, I was told about my current balance and how I had to pay it. I did not refuse nor disregard the fact that I had the balance. My simple question regarding to what the balance was pertaining to turned into an hour and ten minute long embarrassing interrogation. Julie was openly and loudly discussing my health history in the waiting area where the other patients were sitting and exchanging glances. (Huge HIPPA volition). All I wanted was to find out for which visit the amount was for as Ive been there twice previously (lab and visit with primary care physician). Suddenly, I was being taken to the back office where the office manager was going on and on about their procedures and policies. I was sitting there stunned at how inappropriate the whole situation was going. I was being treated like a criminal and a complete unintelligent fool. I finally just told her that I did not have a problem with the amount and I would like to get going with my scheduled apt and see the doctor. She walked me out and as I waited at the desk, the receptionist asked how I wanted to pay. I realized that I did not bring my Health Savings Card so I told her I would get hold of it thru my husband or if they could bill me. She said whatever works ...then one of the doctors assistants took back then took my vitals walking me to the pt. room thereafter. She had a brief discussion about treatment then handed me a packet to fill out then walked out. The very last form of this packet was a medical release. I contemplated filling it out but in the end I did. The reason I filled it out because fiasco kept on unveiling. My last encounter was never with the doctor even after Ive been there for over an hour waiting. I finally got hold of my hsa card and Heather who was standing there while I desperately tried to get hold of it thru my husband who was in the business meeting did not flinch. I had to ask her to give me a minute and so she did. Shortly thereafter, she returned back to the room at which point I had necessary info. She collected the card info. then turned to me and said. Before you see a doctor, there is an x amount of money that will be due, did I want to pay that? At this point I honestly have had enough with these people. I handed her my packet of filled info with medical release and I informed her that I will not be seeing doctor today. I requested my medical recorded and Heather said that was fine with a fee of $35. These people that work there are simply unbelievable . If I could rate this experience -0, I would not hesitate by a second.

I have been going to Camelback Healthcare for 3+ years. I have had three annual checkups, a pregnancy test when I found out I was pregnant, and they found my Hashimotos Disease before I even felt the effects. I had always been seen in a timely manner, treated with care, and left feeling heard. However, I will absolutely not be returning because of the owner of the practice- Dr. Reed. I made an appointment to get my hormone levels checked, a simple blood test. She berated me for coming in at all because of my age. She allowed me to ask zero questions. When I explained that a previous doctor at this practice had suggested I get this testing done she essentially told me I was lying. She called me crazy followed by saying, "What you need is a psych eval!" She finished with, "I will still be billing your insurance, so they know what youre all about." I honestly dont even know what that means, but it was clear that she meant it as an insult. She finished all of this with kicking me out of the office. Literally escorted me out. I had my hands full with my 1 year old son, a stroller, and all of his things because I had been rushed out. She stood at the door yelling, "Goodbye, have a great day, buh-bye, you can go now," all while I fumbled with all of my things to try to get out of the office door in front of the entire waiting room. This was THE wildest experience of my life. I had no idea how to effectively advocate for myself initially, because I had never experienced anything like it. Luckily, I called my insurance company and they walked me through how to place a complaint with the state. Please do yourself a favor and keep looking for a doctor that will treat all patients with respect and care. UPDATE: Since posting my review to a few places on the internet, they have reached out to my husband to ask me to stop posting. I cannot stress the the importance of avoiding this office. An office should not have to convince their patients to stop posting negative reviews. They should have heard out the constructive criticism I originally sent them. They should have apologized. They chose not to make it right, and instead worked to just make the reviews disappear. Future patients deserve to know what is going on behind the scenes.

My husband and I have been going to this office for many years. Our insurance changed. I called and made an appointment. I gave them my new insurance information and asked if they were contracted. I was assured they were. After my appointment and after I had my blood drawn and after my flu shot I am told they do not accept my insurance. Why was I not told when I checked in. I had already given them my insurance info but now they had my card in hand. It should have taken two seconds to know it was not accepted. Anyways, I get a bill for $210.00. I called the billing office. I was graciously given the un- insured rate and paid $140.00. That included the $30.00 copay made when I arrived. They got that amount off the card so I know they looked at the card. I received at least 3 more bills for $210.00. Each time I called the billing office and was assured it was taken care of after sending copies of the bill. Still dont understand what good that did. Now Ive been turned over to collections. Even if I could go to this office I wouldnt. And the worst part is I really feel they dont even care.

I used this office because my healthcare insurance covered this office and they are fairly close to my house. The facility seemed nice, and modern with easy access. But my first visit felt rushed and unfriendly. Then I received my bill and sent it back with my VISA numbers on it. Next visit was filled with multiple trips to the front desk to discuss this "missing" payment. Then I see the PA and she examined me and letting me know I would be receiving two referrals. Of course, I care about my health and wanted my lab results, I had to call three times to ask for my lab results from the doctors office before receiving them. Ironically, when the specialists called and set appointments with me, either specialists took my insurance. Moreover, I didnt need one of the specialist, it was a butt covering referral which costed me a lot of money. This PA seems like an over educated referral machine. I am switching doctors. This is a joke.
