I moved to north little rock and am 30. I have never really had to use a family doctor until now and I searched for a great doctor near me and found Dr.Buford. I became a new patient with him and went to his nice office where I was not welcomed with kind staff. His nurse did not introduce herself to me, smile - only roughly took my blood pressure which was surprisingly low since I never need to go to the doctor and was nervous. Dr. Buford seemed to be kind hearted, wrote me a prescription and said this would help. Like any normal patient- I dropped my slip off at the Walgreens down the road and it costed shockingly 1000 dollars! I made some calls back and fourth with Walgreens and AMANDA at Dr. Bufords office and with no luck of receiving any help from either location - I have no medications. Amanda was especially verbally rude and abusive and encouraged me to find help elsewhere with a other doctor because they do not do any type of benefit check with any insurances on behalf of their patients. I asked Amanda to please give me the name of the medication so that I can call my self to see if there is a cheaper version and AMANDA TOLD ME NO BECAUSE IT WOULD TAKE HER A LONG TIME FIND MY PAPER FILE. I feel I have made a poor choice in finding a family doctor for my family and I in north little rock. If you are one or know of a great one- please let me know!! Let me place an edit on this review. My primary physical problem was never looked at and I expected it to be evaluated, reviewed and explained. The doctor with me was concerned about his. A one thousand dollar prescription was written to me and I am sure this could have been resolved with some civil and kind communication from Amanda. Sorry Dr. Buford but I will not be back to your office and me as a patient- I feel like your office did not desire new patients.

only takes cash for copay, cant use FSA card. No answering machine so cant cancel appt without calling during business hours (difficult for someone who works a lot of nights). Dr. Buford seemed nice enough but his office is still practicing in the 50s.
