Ive purchased glasses and contacts twice from this Optometry. I picked them originally because they accepted USHIP and were close in proximity to my location in Davis. Both times I havent been thrilled with the staff. Its not that theyre terrible, theres just something off and a little less professional and lacking knowledge. The facility itself is clean and nice. Heres the thing that I needed to leave a review about: the Doctor that served me for my recheck of new contacts simply didnt listen to me. She asked me what I thought about the contacts and I told her that I wasnt experiencing the sharpness of vision I was hoping--same with the glasses I had just received. She seemed to brush off this comment and went on to ask me if I wanted to purchase more contacts. I reluctantly agreed to purchase only six months, telling her honestly that I think I would like another eye examination at this point. She told me my vision with the contacts was 20/20 (which she determined by having me read a line of letters on the wall). I was shuffled to the front desk where some questioning math took place to tell me that 1 year of contacts would actually cost less than 6 months (this was completely wrong). Long story short, I felt like I was just a customer from whom money could be extracted from. I really didnt feel that the Doctor was concerned at all about my satisfaction, but her bottom line. Will not be recommending to fellow students.

Very disappointed in my experience. I had 2 separate appointments for a dilated eye exam. The first time I came in, checked in and waited in the exam room for 20minutes before I was informed that their equipment was actually broken so they would not be able to do my eye exam and i would have to reschedule. So I rescheduled the appointment for a month later when they figured it would be back. For the second appointment I called in the morning of the appointment to confirm that the equipment was fixed and it turns out they had actually cancelled my appointment without telling me because i didnt click confirm on the email they had sent, event though nowhere on the email does it say they will do that if you dont confirm. I will not be going back.

This place is great. Ive been there several times and theyve always provided top-notch service that is friendly and professional. Most importantly, I have always felt that they are listening carefully to what Im saying and really thinking about my specific situation (in stark contrast to what you get from so many doctors these days: a partially informed quick decision followed by blatant disinterest in the subsequent details). Highly recommended all around.
