Another 1 star review. They send me a bill because they submitted my info to the insurance wrong and the insurance was waiting for them to clear up the mis communication. They then proceed to send me a bill stating the insurance co. denied the claim when they didnt specifically deny anything. The dr office was just too lazy to sit on hold long enough to clear up the situation. To top it off, i call the insurance to clear things up and figure out why they "denied my claim" only to find out that they requested the dr office to call them directly. After calling the dr office they told ME to have MY INSURANCE to call THEM, and said "we cant sit on hold all day". Im sorry that this is inconvenient for you, but billing and busywork comes with the territory. Thats why doctors dont do it and hire receptionists. I just am shocked by this lazy mentality.

Dr. Wong has a spectacularly bad bedside manner. Arrogant and condescending. He is not interested in what *you* think. This is not a doctor to go to if you are the type who likes to take an interest in your own medical treatment. Furthermore, I noticed during my conversation with him, he made several statements regarding appropriate ages for certain standard preventive tests, and recommended treatments for certain common ailments, which are quite dated. I dont think the good doctor has been keeping up with the advances in his profession. ;)

Looking for a doctor to blow you off, insult you, refuse to treat you, doesnt believe in conventional treatment, cant give you a referral to a doctor who does, well then, Dr. Hak Wong is the guy for you! Absolutely unprofessional, rude, condescending, and insulting. He is in opposition to Western medicine. He compared me to a drug addict for being on four medications. I looked up his info on the CA medical board. Hes been sued and settled once for malpractice.

So I understand Im pretty much paying for a 5 min session to confirm my own diagnoses, $40 wasted... But I didnt even get the opportunity to pay before my bill was passed on to collections and charged another $15.... Whatever.... Lesson learned.

I really disagree with these reviews. Ive been going to ESM for over 4 years now and was never treated poorly. In fact it has been the opposite. The staff is great and the doctors are top notch.
