I have come to quite appreciate Dr. Cho over the years- so much so that, when my regular internist would no longer accept my insurance and my annual required physical came due, I decided to have her fill in. Im not a young person, either. She and her office have been pretty helpful over the years I lived in Studio City with things like immediate x-rays and allergy-related sinus infections in spite of my often very busy work schedule. Sometimes she even kept me from going half deaf again from ear-wax just by being observant. I dont live in Studio City anymore, but I drive there from Echo Park sometimes these days. I dont know if this can persist when I move to Ventura in a month, but I dont have a recommendation for an internist there yet, either...so who knows? I just finished having 2 of the radiology tests I needed that she wrote a script for today. I will go next week to have my blood re-tested for cholesterol medication. I didnt have the regular chest x-ray that my old internist regularly ordered, but she did ask when my last one had been taken, and I ended up getting another one taken because of a chest infection a month ago anyway. I didnt get the old regular ekg either, but I had told her of the echocardiogram I had had in recent years; Im already on blood pressure medication; and those things have never been other than normal for me anyway. I did get a vision test I usually had to see an opthalmologist for. It was significantly cheaper than the $500 dollar baseline charge I would have had to pay at my old internists office. I am just glad that there was a Dr. Cho "urgent care doctor" who seems to have also adequately performed as my substitute primary internist for this long. It seems to me like the essentials are being covered. The cost from my insurance has grown in recent years for "urgent care" doctors, but its still cheaper than paying a primary doctor who doesnt accept insurance from major general ppos at all anymore, and the hours are much more convenient for people with demanding jobs and really unpleasant conditions. So- if you really need a doctor and dont know where else to go, I recommend calling Dr. Chos office.

No, no, no. I went in to get a physical and blood work, one being a cholesterol test. I asked about the price and she said $180. When I asked what $180 includes...she didnt know. Considering a lot of places charge $70-80 for a basic exam I found that bizarre and if youre asking someone for $180 dollars you should at least be knowledgable about what that includes. Matter of fact if it costs $180 it SHOULD include something besides a doctor writing down notes. She also said that Id have to fast for 10-12 hours before I could do a cholesterol check though. Ok cool no problem. I said Id come back tomorrow Next day I call in because I want specific information on what is included in the physical exam. They then tell me that its not $180...its $200. So i reiterate, "what does the doctor actually DO for $200"....she didnt know and suggested I speak with her manager. I get put on hold for 10 minutes so I hang up and call back. I supposed the "manager" answered cause she already knew who I was, offered no apology for pointlessly having me wait on hold for 10 minutes, sighed and said "yes the exam is $200" So once I again I reiterated "what does the doctor do for $200? does that include any tests any ACTUAL physical examinations?" "Lab tests are extra...she will check out everything." "Its sounding like she just sits there and jot notes about my health on a notepad and takes $200. Is that all she does for $200...jot notes?" "Yes." She also told me I couldnt do the tests today cause doctors arent in on the weekends. "So why was I told to come back today??" "I dont know." I will never go here for the simple fact I got so much attitude and run around over a basic question. "What does the $200 include." Its reeeeeeally a basic question. Ive done enough research to know that most clinics charge around $70-$80 and the extra separate blood tests range from $12- $50 dollars each. Hell one place charged $80 and it includes 3 blood tests. Never again.

Run as fast as you can from this place. I cannot stress it enough! I read the terrible reviews below but decided to give it a chance since I live so close. If you like getting charged an extra $50 to be seen on weekends without notice, or if you particularly enjoy long and crowded four-hour visits in the waiting room only to listen to screaming children and patients "getting their cysts cut open" as the nurse liked to describe it, this is by far your place! In my opinion, this is the worst doctors experience I have ever had and that is on top of going to the hospital. Also most of the girls you deal with in this office have major attitude issues. I had to call for two months just to find out my balance from their billing office, and to file an appeal. Talk about people not doing their jobs.... They really need to clean house in this terrible healthcare faculty or just close down. Do not even attempt to appeal with them. They will call the doctors office and talk to their friends only to tell you oh they cannot do it without the doctors approval. Then I was rudely asked, so how would you like to pay? I didnt even know my appeal was over, it was so quick... All they can do is call, and tell you no. I asked has this issue been appealed before? She said yes, but refused to help me anymore. They also could not find out what was wrong with me. They definitely took my money and gave me a run around.

Dont be fooled by the 1 star. This place deserves to be closed down. Money hungry humans work here. Came in with a punctured artery on my foot. Blood was gushing everywhere. Couldnt walk. Wasnt offered a wheelchair. Wouldnt accept my insurance and charged me $452 to get 6 stitches. Went to a proper doctor 14 days later to get stitches removed. The stitches didnt seal the wound, and now I have a huge gash in my foot, and un centered skin. Then I asked them to write me a doctors note for disability coverage since I havent been able to work and am dead broke and they want to charge me $85 for them to go online and fill it out. I hope you guys close down. You are the definition of terrible. DO NOT GO HERE. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. YOU WILL REGRET IT. MONEY HUNGRY.

Ive had better care at a fast food restaurant - literally. The kid who admitted me was maybe 18. He had no clue what he was doing. The doctor insulted me by saying I reminded her of Rodney Dangerfield because I had "big eyes." Funny, because she is quite overweight with the bedside manner of a bad stand up comic her own self. She was actively disinterested in my well being. Waved her stethoscope around my back. She wanted to send the kid back in to give me an EKG. The thought of that, given my upset state, prompted me to get up and leave. Which I did. Wont ever go back. Wont pay the bill. Stay away.

Dr. Cho has been my Doctor for years now, she is truly a class act. I drive her a little insane sometimes, however she is always calm, cool and collected. Dr. Cho will go always do anything she can do make me feel comafotable and the best part is that she is open all week till 8pm. If your looking for an Urgent Care Doctor who really "cares" then Look No Further. She is OUTSTANDING! As is the excellent Staff who will always go above and beyond for you! Thanks Dr. Cho and Co, Billy G
