I switched optometrists recently and I have mixed feelings with my experience at this new service provider. 1. The front desk staff was very professional and nice. 2. The optometrist was very welcoming, knowledgeable about my prescription and how my driving is effected. She just seemed so upbeat, kind, professional but friendly. 3. Glasses/sunglasses selection is good not awesome. 4. Turnaround for delivery of glasses was sooner than expected. 5. They were honest about what I was being charged for and did not try to over-sell me on other items I did not need nor ask for. 6.The personnel was knowledgeable of VSPs discount for select name brand frames. I didnt even have to provide the coupon. 7. Got my corrected glasses back from the lab and they are perfect. No blurriness, no transitional lenses, no issue. Looks like the issues with the glasses the first time around was on the lab as they messed up my prescription and probably gave me someone elses altogether. Cons 1. The glasses were blurry and almost gave me a headache. It was explained that a new prescription (different from old pair) may be blurry and take a week to get used to. 2. The glasses ended up have transitional lenses which I purposely said I did not want because I would prefer to have a second pair of frames...prescription sunglasses. To Focal Points credit this was an error made by the lab. I just feel that Focal Point should check all orders before calling in the customer for pickup. 3. I didnt leave the parking lot before realizing the mistake and thus, took them back. They said they would send them rush on Monday (it was Saturday). It is now Friday and I still do not have the glasses even though the order was "rushed". 4. When I originally set up the appt. I told a clerk that I would fill out the new patient app online and she said, "okay". When I arrived for my appt and noted my completion of said form I was informed the application did not work. The woman who took my appt should have known such. I wasted time completing the application online and still had to do it in writing at the clinic. I give them a neutral score because front desk and professional staff that have good attitudes and are helpful beats the opposite any time. Id rather have courteous/professional staff in the end. A bad attitude can get you a 1 star rating really fast.

My family has had 3 serious eye emergencies on Fridays before long holidays and Dr. Alvin and his staff have come through with help each and every time. They are professional and calming and take all the time needed to give us aid so we could function through the holidays and return to get the permanent solution. They are the best you can get. THANK YOU DR. ALVIN AND HEATHER AND THE WHOLETEAM. You are the best.

The person in charge of this clinic is not professional he is not to give the money that has my wife as credit for having glasses This credit is already 3 years old and they refuse to give back the money !!! Doctor you know of this abuse?

The doctor (Alvin Arellano) was very friendly, and knowledgeable on all aspects of my vision correction. The office is conveniently located near a Target, Albertsons, Barnes & Noble, and many restaurants.
