Worst. Place. Ever. In all of my years at various dental offices I have never had such a bad experience. Maybe I need to go back to PPO Insurance, because HMO is horrible if these are the options Im left with. Ive been here about 4 times with my current insurance for cleanings and some other work beyond the basics. The Dentists Ive had seem inexperienced as well as the assistants. Ive never felt like I was drowning more often than this place on a few occasions. I dont know why its so hard to suction away the water pooling in the back of ones throat. The place and its instruments seem out dated. My previous Dentist was in Costa Mesa and I hate to sound snobby, because thats not really me at all, but when it comes to a doctors/dental office, youd like to come to a nice looking place. The place just needs a "facelift" for sure. Today I had, so I thought, an appointment and this was going to be the last chance for this place to redeem themselves. My wife and I both needed crowns and just getting to a reasonable price after negotiating a price is a story in itself. These people are a joke, let me just say that. So my wife goes in yesterday to get her crown done and she reported to me that evening how they didnt numb her properly and she was writhing in pain for about 5 minutes until they finally stopped to ask her how she was feeling whereby they distinguished that they needed to inject more numbing agent. The same thing happened to me at a previous visit. Except I stopped them much earlier with an audible noise expressing my discomfort. So, back to today - my original appt was for the afternoon and I told my wife to reschedule me for this morning as I could not make it in the afternoon due to work priorities. They told her 930 am, she accepted. All is well. Not so, I get there this morning after using my Paid Time Off of work (thats dwindling) to go in for this appointment to which they advise that my appointment is in the evening. I told the gal, "No, my wife rescheduled with you yesterday, my appointment is now." I called my wife on the spot, she confirmed who she spoke with. Last chance for this place was a HUGE fail. I sat down while they began to see what they could do about "squeezing me in" but I was so agitated that I was NOT about to let any of those imbeciles work on my mouth. I said, "Forget it, Ill reschedule later, this place is the worst." In my agitation I said the first thing that came to my mind, but there is absolutely no way I will ever step foot into that place ever again. Previous Dentists Ive been to would make you feel comfortable and be personable and let you know what they are about to do as they work on your teeth and make you feel at home...etc etc... and this place you cant even understand the doctors if they try to speak to you because their accents are so strong and its typically just like a processing line. They work on you and hand you back over to the assistant you half way cleans you up and says youre done and then youre like, "Can I maybe rinse my mouth out with some mouthwash?!" I could go on but Im done with my diatribe. I would not recommend this place to anybody. Good for you if youve had a good experience here, but these people need to fine tune some things here for sure! Bahh...do I really have to give them even a single star?! 0 stars for me.

I had not been to the office in over a year and a half since I got married. Went back to the office a few weeks ago and noticed my Doctor, Dr. Miele was no longer there. I was upset and asked them where he was, and they told me he moved away and most likely retired. I saw a new dentist they had and the experience was horrible, I told the front manager Laura or Lauri and she said if I was not happy there they have other locations. I was with Dr. Miele for some time and he was friendly and treated me like I was at a private office and not a corporation run dental office like this was. The equipment was all old, bathroom was dirty as well as the room they clean the instruments with. Though I did get an exam with the new doctor and they told me that I had so much going wrong with my teeth from an extensive deep cleaning since I had junk on my teeth ( had a cleaning 4 months prior at a private office in Michigan), so that was a red flag this office is lying to me. Also I had Delta Dental of Michigan and they cover everything but the manager above told me it was not part of my plan. I did not get anything done and ran out of there. I called my Insurance with the treatment sheet I had and they said everything was covered other than my 10% co pay..... I will go elsewhere Also funny part is one of the reviews is a family member of the main manager Bernal because the manager gave me the name at Dental Associates to talk to Paula Bernal if I wanted to go to another office since Dr. Meele was not there.... So the reviews they posted themselves, that sucks.....

Dont ever get a dental cleaning and exam from a slick ad in the mail from Beachside Dental Group in HB. While $25 may sound like a really good deal with a full set of x-rays, only until you receive their estimate on the amount of dental work they recommend. For me it was $4,800! (9 fillings and 4 inlays for a total of 13 cavities). I was shocked because I was going in for a simple cleaning and check-up and had no mouth pain. Anyway, I got a 2nd opinion from my childhood dentist and guess what? He sees no cavities and no dental work needed! He only saw a few small stains that he said could be watched for 10 years and may still not turn into a cavity. He said their estimate included removing my silver fillings and replacing them with inlays, something that didnt need to be done. The only tooth that my family dentist was concerned about was one that Dr. Nguyen hadnt even noted, a tooth that was damaged by an impacted wisdom tooth. Whats more, when I left Beachside Dental they never even gave me the cleaning- just x-rays and an exam. They said I needed to come back for a "deep cleaning" which would cost extra. However, my family dentist said that the cleaning I needed was nothing more than a "standard" cleaning. I agree with the other reviews. These people are crooks. They are creating business for themselves by offering an ultra-cheap initial cleaning and exam (minus the cleaning) and then recommending work that doesnt necessarily need to be done.

My wife went here and the office is very old and like the 1970s. She went 5 months ago for an initial exam and she saw a Dr. Meyelee ( not sure how to spell it). He was very nice and polite and told my wife she did not need anything. She went back a few weeks ago and that doctor was no longer there and the woman upfront Loryt that was very rude told me the doctor retired. The new doctor then told my wife that she needed thousands of dollars of work. He was also rude, but the staff at the office is poor. Another thing they told me was that my insurance would not cover many of the costs such as soft tissue crown extension. I called the insurance and they advised many of the procedures they told me were fake and that when they told me the procedures were not covered under my benefit was completely wrong. I complained to Lory and she told me that if I have a problem call the manager Paula Bernal and then when I saw the reviews family members made reviews for the office so the reviews are fake too. The picture they have of the office on google is fake, I walked the whole office looking for the bathroom and believe me the office did not look like the picture. They have other offices they wanted to move me too, but run away from this office. PS. the manager never called me back and she told me they would call 4 weeks ago. I found a new dentist, Dr. Chang that is great
