Dr. Homes did two TPLOs on my dog when he was young, a year apart. That means he had to cut through the bone below the knee and plate and screw it back at an angle that would prevent him from tearing his tendons. He was in a lot of pain then and the surgeries went so well and fixed him right up. Dr. Holmes is the bomb! Then he got out of the yard one night and got hit by a car. His thigh bone went through his lower pelvic bone. Yeah, thats pretty awful! Dr. Cannon did an amazing job of fixing him up. It was a very intense procedure and I cant say enough good stuff about what a highly skilled surgeon she is! My dog is almost 11 years old now and still catches the occasional ground squirrel. I am so grateful to the doctors at Wasson, because three times over he would not have been here if it wasnt for them. I live in Chico now and I can tell you with certainty that Wasson Memorial cost me thousands less than the same procedures would have cost here. It is over two hours away but I still like to take him there when I can because I know they are the best!

Very ipset with this vet. My dog had to have a liver biopsy which was 800.00. I was not able to pay whole bill so they held the results of the biopsy until i paid. In the meantime my dog was very sick and o did not know why. I broight them more money so they gave me the results,hepatitis. They said she needed medicine immediately and to have the fluid in her abdomen drained,but again they would not do this until total bill was paid. In the meantime i promised to pay total bill in one week but until then nothing would be done. I understand they need the bill paid and it will be,but i am really sad that they care so little for the animal and are all about the money. I pay for good vet service not smelly candles and candleholders in every room. People know that a vets office is not going to smell great. Maybe cut out the unecessary things and concentrate on the animal.

My wife and I would like to personally thank Dr. Holmes for the care that he gave our cat Kita over the years we went to this clinic. He was very kind and clear with what was wrong with her. We had her in there on several occasions for various reasons. Unfortunately on 10/20/16 we had to take her back and found out she had cancer which at 12 years old, he said it would be a constant visit back to the clinic to treat and drain the fluid. My wife and I decided not to let her suffer any longer so we had her euthanized. Dr. Holmes was very good about telling us the news. After she passed he gave us time with her before they took control of her remains. We again would like to thank Dr. Holmes and his staff for being so caring to my wife and I. Great facility.

We moved to Lake County three years ago, and since that time have trusted our dogs care to Wasson. When one of our dogs needed highly specialized care, they knew it, and sent us to UC Davis. I really appreciated that they worked with UC Davis cooperatively as we struggled with a terminally ill, beloved dog, and when her time came to cross the Rainbow Bridge, they mourned the loss right along with us. We have since rescued two dogs who both have medical issues, and the staff at Wasson has been working with us to help get our new friends in tip-top shape. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I have brought my animals there for at least 10 yrs and the Doctors there have always given my animals the best care they could. I just lost my dog to a long on going disease and the doctors were honest and caring. I would never hesitate taking my animals there. Its the care that counts not that someone might be having a bad day. I even had a hummingbird hurt and they took it to Santa Rosa Bird Place the 2 weeks later I got to watch that bird brought back to my house and released.

We brought two abandoned fawn to this clinic and they treated these animal perfectly. They were expertly examined and perscribed neccessary medication. They were upfront on their level of care the deer needed and were available anytime we called. They recommended a local Deer rescue facility we could take our deer to once they got strong enough. Wasson Memorial Veterinary Clinic are a loving and genuinely caring animal clinic and we would recommend them to any one who asks.

The vets and techs have always taken the time to really get to know my pets and their needs. And they are also very reasonably priced, which is nice. They really do care about every both animal and humans who come through their doors.

Great Doctors, great staff. No credit, must pay for services at time of visit. Wildlife hospital for birds, possums, raccoons, etc. Call ahead, usually no charge is my experience.
