I called in and told the person on the phone all about my pup. Her age, her vaccine schedule, and what we were looking for. He scheduled me for a day he was sure my puppy would be able to get her third round of parvo shots and her bordatella and lepto. We came in early to our appointment with all paperwork already filled out. We waited 30 minutes to be seen. Waited another 20+ to be seen by the vet. The tech tried to sell some ridiculously expensive puppy health plan that included things I would probably never need. I told her no. Was then informed by the tech that my dog is too young for the next parvo shot. Then the vet comes and says the same thing. And instead of actually talking about it. She gave my dog the bordatella and lepto meds right then. Instead of waiting to get her on a schedule so I wouldnt have to take off work for the next booster in a week and the next parvo the week after that, etc. And my puppys ear was bothering her the week before, so the vet swabbed it and said she could look at it under the microscope for $50. Hard pass. I told her we were just going to wait to see and she didnt even fight me on it because Im pretty sure she knew I was right. I was very upset and I wont be coming back.

I have been a client of this clinic for over 15 years and have referred many people to them. I had been very happy up until this past weekend. On Saturday, I noticed my collies hot spots had returned. 4 weeks prior the clinic had given her a shot and I was told to call if they returned. I contacted the clinic at 8am and spoke with the answering service who informed me that the clinic did not answer any phones between 8 and 10 on Saturday. I gave her the information and she advised that the message would be passed on as URGENT. At 11 am, I still had not heard from them and dropped in to see what was going on. The girl at the front desk stated they did not get the message and that I should go to Santa Rosa. She then stated that I would not be able to get in until Thursday and once again stated I should go to Santa Rosa. When I returned home I was able to get on a live chat asking to have the manager contact me. I provided all the information and was told the manager would contact me when she returns. As of this typing I have not heard from them and have an appointment with Ukiah Vet who seemed to really care about the condition of my dog.

The man was so sweet and nice but for 3 years kept giving my dog ear infection medicine and looking for stickers in his ears. He did find a sticker in his ear one time and had to put my dog out to get it out but as it turns out the stickers were not bugging him and he did not have an ear infection. I took him to Mendocino Animal Hospitol to find out he was dying of cancer (a small tumor behind the ear that had metastasized) and had I caught it sooner it would be a different story. Thanks a lot Yokayo Vet Clinic. This was in 1999 but I never forgot and there was no google ratings then that I knew of. Oh ya and the nice vet girl who came to put my dog down at my house (she was the only one in Ukiah at the time that offered this service) cried and said "this was preventable". I told her the story and she said "typical".

After every vet being closed in my home town, even though my dog was not a patient here they took him on an emergency case basis and it was a great experience! the Dr Was very kind and knowledgeable, and still took my dog even though he wasnt a patient of hers.
