David and I want to thank you and the VCS staff for the extraordinary care that that our precious Abby received late last week. We know that you did everything you could to save her. While you probably hear this all the time, Abby was an unbelievable girl and the heart of our empty nest home. She was so funny, smart and sweet. As a certified therapy dog, she brought smiles to many patients at Trinitys St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia and long term care facility in Brighton. Known as "Abby the Great", her loving and "smiling" nature made her the perfect therapy dog. She also had an intuitive sense with special needs children and young adults. The list goes on and on. Our hearts are broken yet so full at the same time for having Abby in our family for nine years. This is the first time since we were married (37 years) that we havent had a fur baby in our home and while we need to grieve for a while, I cant image not having the sound of paws running through the house for too long. We would be interested in learning about volunteering opportunities with VCS down the road. Also, please let us know if you ever become aware of a labradoodle in need of a great home – we can give you high recommendations from Abby Doodle – the "excellent and delicious one".

On Thursday Night our puppy hurt her leg while jumping and twisting her leg. We took out puppy to Veterinary Care around 10:30pm. We has and Asian Vet who does not spoke english very well and he was not Perofessional at all. he just followed the Check List with all the Questions including if the Puppy is bleeding, I told him that puppy is sitting in front of you why dont you check and see... He checked her up and said the we have to do X-rays and its going to cost $140 for X-Ray, I said that fine. He Diagnose her incorrectly and gave is wrong Medication. He said that she pulled her Muscle and in a week she will be just fine we end up walking out form the Clinic paying $290. Out puppy was still in pain so we took her to our Vet in Oxford. When our Vet did her X-rays he found a Fracture on her leg and thats why she was in pain. I will not recommend anyone going there, if you love and care about your pets DO NOT take them to this place. I dont know where they come up with the prices and worth less Vet to miss treat out pets. Thanks for your time. Ozzie

I took my cat for some stitches. They push me so many unrelated exams that estimated total at $1100. Most of the exams were already taken at my regular vet and I was well aware of those medical issues that my cat had. But thats for my cat so I took their offer. My husband picked her up right next day and got charged $1400 without explaining on the difference of $300 from the quote. They requested him to bring my cat back for a recheck in 5 days. Hes got charged another $38 for the recheck and $30 for additional antibiotic just for doing nothing other than looking at the stitched wound. I know my regular vet doesnt charge for aftercare services if the original procedure was done at the same vet office. Only reason why I needed to go to this place was because it was Sunday evenining and my regular vet doesnt provide 24/7 emergency services. This vet offices always trying to collect as much money as they could from any tiny service they do, that most other vet offices do for free. Only thing good about this place is that the tech people were nice.

To Dr. Schmidt, Dr. Hass, Dr. Smith, Kathy, Dana & all the rest of the staff that got to experience Myca. We cannot say enough thankful words to you all for all you did trying to keep Myca here with us and also the kindness you gave us. We know his journey in life ended way too early for him but we are so thankful that all of you were a part of trying to save his life and keep him here. Dr. Hass thank you so very much for your knowledge and efforts in helping to try to keep Myca here. A very special thank you to Dr. Schmidt for the patience and time you spent trying to help us understand what was happening with Myca. Kathy and Dr. Smith, you are both such very special people to be able to listen and help us with one of the most important painful decisions in our life we had to make and to be there with us through such a painful experience. Myca was very unique and so very special friend to us and we will miss him so very, very much. Life will not be the same with him gone.

It is with a very heavy heart that I am writing to thank you all for the care given to my beautiful Harley. She came into our lives and hearts at the end of June and replace our Jake who we lost due to loss of his back end. What a replacement she was. She immediately adjust to learning to get in and out of the pool and swimming in addition how to go up and downstairs, riding in the truck with my husband to go to the backfield and waited in the truck for him. She was loved very much and my great grandson was devastated as they were great buddies. My husband and I wanted to thank you all for the compassion shown to us. For Dr Halley who had to send Harley over the rainbow and allowing the final goodbye for which I appreciate, there were no tears at that time, but which there are many now. With my other labs there was resolution and with our Harley there is none. Once again we thank you and if and when we get another dog you have become my new Vets and Co.

One of my dogs contracted Rocky mountain spotted fever last summer. The vet I was using at the time misdiagnosed it and was trying to send me & my dog to MSU for rhinoscopy and a ct scan. While wasting my time with that runaround, my dog damn near died with a fever of 107. I took her to VCS and they immediately knew to get her on IV fluids and antibiotics to try to break the fever while they sent out bloodwork to check for what was wrong. They were able to get her fever down and based on experience and sheer awesomeness, prescribed proper treatment before the test results came back. There are not many cases of Rocky mountain spotted fever in Michigan - and the vets at VCS were able to diagnose it and save my girl - that is enough to earn my business as long as I have dogs.

Ive been taking my animals to Dr Hass for many years now. A year ago, with care and concern Dr Hass saved my mastiff. It took many months and a lot of encouragement on her part....but she saw us both through. Just recently my cat had to go there on an emergency. He has kidney stones and was in renal failure. The first week was touch and go. I didnt think he would make it, euthanasia was discussed asking Dr Hass if she felt he could pull through this, when she said yes, I hunkered down for another week. Well to my joyous suprise, he turned around. Granted he still has issues and still under the care of Dr. Hass, however I have him home with me and I still find the entire staff there caring and considerate in his follow up care even though I am sure I am a pest.
