My dog is sick and she seemed to be getting worse by the day so I scheduled an appointment. It was my first time at Corvallis Vet Hospital and I didnt bring my dogs records from her old vet. I knew she was up to date on her shots and vaccinations, but I wasnt sure what shots she had, not to mention my sole reason for bringing her in was because she is sick. Before I even saw the vet they were telling me she needed shots and I was not sure about the name of every shot she had and I refused the shots. So I go in the waiting room and the vet comes in and before he even checks my dog he keeps trying to convince me to give her a bunch of shots and I said I wanted to wait because I wanted to get records from my old vet. So anyway he looked her over and he didnt really have a definitive diagnosis as to what was wrong with her. Then brought me a estimate of the bill with the shots he thought she needed telling me she needed the shots so regretfully I caved. So I ended up paying 200$ for some Benadryl (The Dog version is exactly the same as the human version both are 100% Diphenhydramine except the one sold to me was 20$) , I found out when I got home she already had both the shots she was given, and she is still sick now. Only now I cant afford to take her to a vet that actually cares enough to figure out what is wrong with her.

Ive never reviewed any business before, but this place deserved it. Right off the bat the lady behind the counter was just rude to me. She asked what I needed, I told her "An emergency visit". She proceeds to hold up a finger while she answers a call about some person who lost their cat for 4 minutes. Then she would not even look at me or my dog while she made fill out these forms. This vet is empty, theres no one there and she says you could be waiting anywhere from 20 min to hour we just dont know was her explanation. Anyways I left, dont go here unless you maybe catch this lady on one of her good days...just rude

Called for an appointment for my guinea pig and was given the next available which was this morning. Greeted by a friendly staff person behind the desk who asked pertinent questions and had me fill out one general form. She also weighed my guinea pig. Dr Gross paid attention and gave the pig a thorough examination. He took the time to explain all the different possibilities and treatments. I didnt feel rushed or like I was a second class customer because I had a small animal. I appreciated the extremely kind and professional service.

Great veterinary hospital! Dr. Gross is a knowledgable, compassionate, and sensible veterinarian. It is nice to find a clinic with a vet that understands "real life" animal owners and works with us to come up with practical care plans instead of making owners feel bad about not being able to afford "the gold standard". The staff is very friendly and helpful, it just seems like they all enjoy their jobs and working for Dr. Gross. I think this says worlds about the hospital in itself. Keep up the good work CVH!!

Dr. Gross and his team are exceptionally kind, caring and competent. After horrendous experiences involving two other places, I was very happy to bring my pets there. Dr. Gross spends time with my pets, examines them thoroughly and listens to our concerns. He is responsible but does not run up the bill unnecessarily. He is also one of the few Vets who takes Care Credit. We were very fortunate to find Dr. gross and his office.

Dr. Gross and his team are great. You can expect kind, high quality care for your pets without needing to wait for days. He does not try to rush you in and out, and takes the time to answer your questions. He doesnt push unnecessary tests and takes the time to explain animal-related health issues. Give Corvallis Veterinary Hospital a chance and I would not expect that you would be disappointed.

Robert July 20,2011 Great customer service. Great staff and professional skills especially Dr. Grosss diagnostic abilities. Have never taken my animals to a veternarian who delivered such high quality care. The front desk staff showed great compassion and attention to my pets. I will definitly go back to this clinic.

Unlike many vet clinics, CVH does not try to run up your bill with "extras" as many others do. Dr. Gross, gives good advice, listens to the needs of the family, and offers the best options for care. He also does not balk at using online pharmacies to help reduce the cost of care.

We took our 4 month year old puppy here, and then also periwinkle in Albany for the same issue. The quality of care at the Corvallis Veterinary Hospital was much worse, the price was twice as much, and the lab results took 3 days instead of 10 minutes at Periwinkle.

When my pet was in respitory distress, I came to them for help. Just because their office is open, does not mean a veterinary professional is onsite. I was asked to come back 4 hours later or try somewhere else. Thanks for nothing
