Im 40 and my parents have a Polaroid photo of me and my two siblings, hanging in their home when we were young enough to pick a prize from the treasure chest, adorning big pearly white smiles at this Lakewood dentist office. We never understood the stigma and fear of dentists that others spoke of because we were spoiled by the best dentist in SoCal. He and his team have always provided, for 3 generations of Blancos... my kids included, the most comfortable and enjoyable experience. I have only come to learn how good he his by seeking dental services elsewhere only to understand what others were talking about. I get it now. Theres a difference and Dr. Raymond Mangigian is the only man I trust in my mouth with sharp objects and power drills. Getting to know him, my theory is that the motor skills he uses in his leisure playing Jazz Saxophone transfer over into how efficient and delicate his hands can control a syringe or scaler. Think the speed of Doc Holiday, the smooth of Stan Getz and the sweetness of the Tooth Fairy. Thats what Ive always known a dentist visit to be and why my parents drive from Brea, brother from Orange and my sister and her family drive from Whittier to see Dr. Mangigian. Ignorance of any other dentistry is bliss.

Hello, my name is Tina. 5 months ago I was ashamed of my teeth and scared to death of going to a random dentist. All I knew was that I could no longer go on covering my smile or making sure my teeth dont show when I laugh. I read every review on every dentist possible in the area (Long Beach/Lakewood) and put my trust in Dr. Mangigians high ratings. Today not only I give him and his staff 5 stars but Im so grateful that I made the right choice. You could not find a more qualified and wonderful doctor (Dr. Ray), a more skilled and caring assistant (Katie), a gentler hygienist (Susie) and a more professional manager (Raquel). I never had to wait to be called in, everyone greeted me by name, they were prompt with making appointments, and always took care of any concerns I had down the line. On top of all that, they provide a top-notch dental work. I had crowns done on all my upper teeth, plus a root canal, and cleaning/ whitening. Every procedure was virtually painless and Im looking forward going back for continuous work. Im already getting lots of compliments, I can smile without worry and most importantly I got my confidence back. I am highly recommending Dr. Mangigian for all your dental needs.

It seems counterintuitive to give five stars and "Loved It" concerning a visit to the dentist, thus the four stars. Otherwise, Dr. Mangigian and his staff are top notch. The technicians are always very amiable and sincere as they work on my mouth, which must be fairly difficult considering the horror show that is my mouth. Ive been to other dentists in the past that seem belittling and condescending, but not at Dr. Mangigian. The other thing I appreciate is that they are not about fleecing their customers. I needed two crowns (I mentioned the horror show) and they realized my insurance wouldnt fully cover both. So they worked it out so I did the one that needed the most immediate attention and then set me up for the second when my insurance resets. They didnt have to do that and Im sure most other dentists would not have. Maybe I should give them five stars...wait, its the dentist. As much as I can love a dentist, I love Dr. Mangigian.

BEST DENTIST EVER. I can not find words to express how relieved I feel, after getting a root canal done by Dr. Mangigian. After many bad experiences with other dentists, I put off getting work done for years. I ended up with some severe problems, which made me all the more anxious in attempting to find a good dentist. At Dr. Mangigians office, the whole staffs main concern is your comfortability. I felt virtually NO PAIN, and the second I felt anything at all, they numbed me up more and I felt nothing more after that. I cant say enough good things about this place. I, of course, highly recommend going here; especially if youre anxious about seeing a dentist- these amazing people will take care of you.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mangigian for over 13 years. He is a true professional. He cares about his clients and has an excellent staff. Appointments are always kept and on time, which I appreciate since I am always running from work or to my childrens school activities. The work that they have done for me and my family is excellent and we have always had a pleasant experience. Dr. Mangigian is the best dentist ever and I refer all my friends and family to him. Dr. Mangigian has really worked wonders for me! I was in bicycling accident and lost my front teeth, he was able to fix a horrible retainer that was made for me by another dentist. Now my teeth look better then they originally were! I am extremely happy with the end result. I would like to add that the big scary needle that almost all people are scared of.... well he numbs the area with a cream so that the needle does not hurt! Can you really ask for anything else?

The entire staff was very nice and friendly. I think most everyone in the office made an effort to say hello and share their warmth. Bad experiences with dentists in the past leave me very wary and full of anxiety, but Dr. Mangigian (and his staff) are very attentive, concerned with the patients experience and comfort, and are professional. They helped me choose the best and most cost efficient course. If you have to go to the dentist, this is a great place to go.

Dr. Mangigian is always very kind and very gentle. I have had a lot of trouble with my teeth - for as long as I can remember - but hes been great to take care of any issues that have come up and always makes sure his patients are as comfortable as possible during any procedure. And just to top it off, Dr. Mangigian remembers each of his patients and whats going on in their lives, and shows genuine interest in you as a person when he sees you. Great Dentist!!!

I started going to Dr. Mangigian last year and I no longer fear going to the dentist. I feel very comfortable and confident with Dr. Mangigians experience. He and his wonderful staff are always so very courteous and friendly. They are truly a team of professionals. If you have the need for a new dentist I would highly recommend Dr. Mangigian. Plus, no lengthy periods of sitting in the waiting room wondering when your name will be called. They are very prompt!

I have been a long time patient of Dr Mangigian and the care and attention he and his staff dedicate to you is unsurpassed compared to the many dentists I have used before him. If you have a "fear" of dentists like many people do (I was in that catagory) here is the place to go to rid yourself of those fears and you will be a regular patient of his in years to come.. it will be very easy to smile when you think of a visit to this dentist!!!
