May 19, 2016 Bellflower Dental Group 10318 Rosecrans Ave Bellflower CA 90706 To Whom It May Concern: The purpose of this letter is to inform you that one of your “treatment counselors”, Angelica Rojas, is intentionally misleading patients in regards to their orthodontic treatment plans. On June 2, 2015 I came to see Mrs. Rojas to discuss the possibility of commencing my orthodontic treatment. As she was going over the terms of my contract and what signing the aforementioned contract entailed, I had expressed my wish to NOT have any of my teeth extracted, except for my wisdom teeth. Mrs. Rojas went on to hand me a form giving my consent for the orthodontist to remove any teeth he might deem necessary, and asked me to sign it. I inquired about this form several times, and Mrs. Rojas - sensing she would lose a patient if she did not resort to deceit – lied to me every single time by telling me that ONLY MY WISDOM TEETH would be extracted (1, 32). Fortunately, - being well aware that most of the employees at Bellflower Dental Group are well versed in the art of hypocrisy (Mrs. Rojas and Mrs. Cabot being the most transparent) - I had the foresight to tell Mrs. Rojas that I was going to write down what she had just told me on the form she was trying to make me sign, effectively altering the terms of what was stated in the form. As soon as I told her that, she nonchalantly proceeds to tell me that they were in fact going to extract two of my upper teeth in addition to my wisdom teeth, and that they might even extract more teeth depending on how my treatment progressed. Indeed, I was recently informed that up to three of my teeth (in addition to my wisdom teeth) would need to be extracted in order to align them properly. At this point I would like to mention that I did agree to sign the contract despite Mrs. Rojas’s attempt to commit fraud (I regret that now) only because I could not afford the exorbitant prices that other orthodontists asked for their services, but none of which attempted to lie to me about the extractions. Jackie #277 can attest to the validity of everything that has just been stated in this letter, as it was she who was guiding me through the process of signing the paperwork for my orthodontic treatment under the guidance and supervision of Mrs. Rojas, but I doubt that she was cognizant of Mrs. Rojas’s intention to commit fraud. I am assuming that Mrs. Roja’s attempt to deceive me was motivated by an economic incentive she is being offered for every new patient she manages to sign; an alternative explanation for her actions has yet to be proffered. I don’t understand how a person can show such a blatant disregard for another human being and still be allowed to keep her job. What is to stop her from attempting to do the same thing to other patients? If it were not for some quick thinking on my part, I would have been in for a very unpleasant surprise. If you or any of your friends or family members is a patient at Bellflower Dental Group I ask you to practice extreme vigilance when dealing with these people – they are not to be trusted.

This office has a great atmosphere, but the service of the staff is horrendous. The woman who took my x-rays had to have someone help her after failing on multiple occasions. The dentist did not prescribe me any pain medication or antibiotics even though she said I had an infection in my chipped wisdom tooth. Told me that I would be contacted two days later to quote me prices with my insurance as they couldnt verify it. Two days later I had to call them late in the afternoon when I had not heard from them. Then was told they would call me the next day because no one was available to quote me prices with my insurance. Next day, guess who called who. Thats right. Youre catching on. It was I who once again had to call them late in the afternoon. Telling the receptionist about my pain and possibly spreading infection, she placed me on hold. And so I held. And I held. And I held. Then I hung up after the 15th minute, and called back. After explaining my small oral issue to a different receptionist I was once again placed on hold. This time after 5 minutes the receptionist got back on the line to tell me the lady who gives the quotes is with a patient and would call me back. And here we are an hour later and Im at another office trying to get treatment.

Been coming here with my daughter for about two years. You make an appointment only to wait, expect to be there at least three hours. Last year I was told that I have no copay, that my insurance covers my visits. This year they say I have a $50 copay each visit. Although the receptionists and the dentists seem alright, the people who run the office are rude and cold.
