This office is more expensive than other offices. Do your own research, just like you would before getting anything *valuable* (i.e. your teeth) repaired. They mailed out applications a week before the appointments so they could run the insurance info. That sounded reasonable. At the appointment they informed us that orthodontic services we wanted "were not covered" by our insurance. (Nothing special, by the way, just basic orthodontia). This seemed strange because one of our other family members, on the same insurance policy, was getting orthodontic care at another orthodontist and our insurance was covering 50% of it. Anyway, they gave an estimate with the *cash* price, took a deposit, and scheduled a follow-up appointment. Trying to be good consumers, we spent the next week speaking a couple of times with our insurance company and calling 8 other orthodontist offices in the surrounding area. We learned two valuable things. One, our insurance did indeed cover 50% of the orthodontic services we were seeking, and Brodsky was one of their plan orthodontists. Two, Brodsky was *the most expensive* of all the nearby orthodontists we researched. Posting this just in case our experience helps someone else who is thinking of dropping their hard-earned dollars here.

Pros: very organized, takes emergency braces breaks same day. Cons: I have been with brodsky for 2 1/2 years now. I had really bad teeth before so i got braces for estimated 6-12 months. 6-12 months turned into 12 months and then 1 1/2 years. immediately after i got a headgear for 6 months. not fun. I have had braces for another 1/2 yr ---estimated to have them on for two yrs :(--- and my teeth are still buck :( plus their staff always makes my teeth bleed every time (i do not have gingivitis so they shouldnt be bleeding) and they always break even though i dont eat anything hard. PLUS i went to my dentist the other day and while he was checking my mouth, he said "WOW! YOU HAVE A LOT OF SCARS ON YOUR CHEEKS! THEYRE ALL SWOLLEN." and you can see what those are from. Please do not send your kids unless they have really really really really really strong gums and lips to take all of those scars.

The Brodskys have been our orthodontists since 1981 when Dr. Joel put my braces at 17 and in high school. I have since been driving my two sons who are currently 15 and 17 to the Brodskys from South Orange County. We have recently just finished our course of treatments with them and as delighted as we are to have our braces off, we are little sad to see it end since we enjoy the practice and its people so much. The Brodskys and their staff are some of the kindest and most generous people weve ever known in business. The Brodskys love their patients and their staff and it shows in all of their wonderful attitudes and also just as importantly, his cutting edge equipment. Everything in the office is state-of-the-art and the most modern. That makes me confident that we are getting the best care possible. We will miss you Drs. Brodsky. xo

I was referred to the office by my general dentist. I had no problems with my insurance, it was easy to get appointment times I needed, I didnt have to sit and wait I was seen at the time I was given. The service was good, everyone is very professional and knowledgeable. I was given a lot of information and things moved quicker than I expected. The only change I would like is to be given printed documents with explanations of needed procedures and options. In my 1st visit I had already had x rays, impressions, taken steps towards having surgery, and set up a payment plan. But I didnt have any information to take home to talk everything over with my family and possible get a second opinion before taking such as big step.

As soon as you enter the front door, you are greeted by name, with smiles and a hello from each person sitting behind the counter, and the greetings dont stop there. When you make your way to the back, the same friendly acts occur. It makes a person feel good and valued when they can enter a room and receive this kind of service. The technicians in the back are professional, sociable and very thorough with what they do and both of the Drs make sure to speak to you wheter they are working with you, or not. Getting braces could be a scary thought for some people (not me!!), but the warm smiles and chumminess of the entire staff can quickly change your thoughts! Keep up the good work.

Would highly recommend Brodsky Orthodontics to my friends and family - and I have. The front desk staff is outstanding , happy ,courteous, efficient and always ready to assist you. The tech staff are fast and efficent and the office is clean and well maintained. They have a lot of promotions going on to keep children engaged - I always felt confident in their diagnosis. Both father and son are caring and expert in their interactions with the staff as well as the patients - I am very happy with my entire experience. I had Invisalign treatment for about a year and my teeth are now straight and I have a permanent retainer . Couldnt be happier with the results !

After realizing I wanted braces, I used the recommendation of my childhood dentist and Im glad I did. Everything about this practice is awesome.. from the ambiance when you walk into the waiting room, to the themed decorations in each room, to the aesthetically appealing set-up in the back. Their technology is updated and it lessens the fear of going to have x-rays taken. I was in an out in about an hour... from initial consultation to x-rays and placement of my spacers. I am very, very pleased with Dr. Charles and the staff. I know that my mouth is in good hands !Id recommend Brodsky Orthodontics to anyone who is considering a new orthodontist.

I needed to have jaw surgery and my oral surgeons referred me to Brodsky Orthodontics for braces. Last May I had braces put on for the second time in my life. The care I have been given at Brodsky Orthodontics has been wonderful! I live in South Orange County and drive up to Lakewood for all of my appointments, I am not a typical patient so for awhile I was there weekly. I highly recommend both Dr. Joel & Dr. Charles and their staff is just plain awesome! Everyone there is always friendly. I have recently been told by my dentist that my son will need to see an orthodontist and Brodsky Orthodontics is where I plan to take him

My son unfortunately was born with extremely crooked teeth and a not enough space for his teeth. Starting in 1rst grade they inserted an appliance to start to widen his bite and from then on, he went through the various phases with braces. They were removed and now just wears a retainer at night. His teeth are beautiful. The office is great, catering to little 6 yr. olds to teens to adults. The front office girls always professional, friendly, helpful and polite. Each and every tech was great, friendly and informative. The Brodskys run an incredibly patient centered office and streamlined operation. 10 out of 10.

Ive never experience such a family oriented ortho office. They treat everyone like family. They are on top of their patients. Clean environment. They have cookies and coffee also for their patients and guess. They have incentive for almost everything. They decorate the office according the season/holidays. Its great!
