Admittedly, my case may be a little unusual, because I dont really have any serious dental problems. I visited Dr. Reams simply for a routine cleaning, and, first of all, I like the way that his office doesnt require you to get a new set of X-rays or a full examination (as many of the larger dental clinics do), when all you really need is to have your teeth cleaned. I found his personality to be refreshingly compassionate and conscientious and his prices more than reasonable; and he didnt try to charge me any extra, despite the fact that I had an inordinate degree of calculus accumulation on my teeth and gums, some of which had hardened, due to the fact that the previous dentist that I had seen six months earlier hadnt removed all of it. The cleaning took over an hour, but Dr. Reams persistently removed all of the calculus, and my mouth felt much cleaner after he was finished. On another note, parents of small children might be interested to hear that while I was in the waiting room, I overheard him filling the tooth of a child who had a cavity. Dr. Reams was very comforting and supportive throughout the procedure on the little boy, and he demonstrated a wonderfully patient and avuncular manner toward the child. I dont have any children of my own, but if I did, I would be confident in taking them to Dr. Reams for all of their own dental needs. I know that everyone has a different experience at the dental office, and, unfortunately, Ive had some bad visits in the past with other dentists myself; but from my own experience with Dr. Reams, I honestly dont see how the negative comments Ive read about him from other patients are justified. I found Dr. Reams to be a very knowledgeable professional and a congenial mature gentleman.

After having a problem with another Dentist, I went to Dr. Reams on the recommendation of several close friends. I have now been his patient for several years. I have found him to be extremely competent and professional. He has always been sensitive to any pain that I may have experienced and ready to help at a moments notice. I regard myself as fortunate to call Douglas Reams my Doctor and my friend. If I were to read a negative review of Dr. Reams. The first thing that I would have to do is question the motives of the writer.

The worse experience I have ever had at a Dentists office. He began by loudly complaining about my insurance before he even introduced himself. Then he gave me some bulls#$t story about how the cavity that he saw on my x-ray may or may not be the cause of that tooths pain. And when I said well how about we fill it since it is the tooth I came in having pain in; he went on to say well I dont have time but you can wait around and see if I have time later. THIS MAN SHOULD NOT BE A DENTIST!

Dr Reams is probably THE most knowledgeable dentist I have ever gone to. Everything he says is the truth, HE KNOWS TEETH. I have had the opportunity to go to MANY DENTISTS with my excellent insurance, and I will ALWAYS go to Dr Reams. His manner is warm and welcoming, one can tell he honestly loves people. An intelligent person can tell he knows what he is doing. He makes my smile beautiful and that is important to me.Thank you Dr Reams, yet again :)

I am truly a coward when it came to dentist appointments and Dr.Reams some how bypassed that fear with with compassion of his work ,jokes and lots of patience for how busy he is.
