Dr. Abelowitz is the most knowledgeable, well-informed, nurturing, patient and caring physicians I have ever encountered. Dr. Abelowtiz has been taking care of my three children for almost 9 years and I can confidently say that every single interaction that I have had with Dr. Abelowitz has been wonderful. The piece that sets Dr. Abelowitz apart from all other pediatricians is that he can expertly treat the everyday childhood illnesses such as ear infections or the far more serious and rare issues that most pediatricians would not have the skill set to diagnose accurately. I can speak from experience. My oldest daughter, who is now almost 9 years old, had a large mass on her spinal cord when she was an infant. To make a very long story short, she underwent surgery the day before her first birthday. She then had two and half years of physical therapy to learn to walk and use her legs in a normal way. Without Dr. Abelowitzs superior diagnostic skills, my daughter today would most likely be paralyzed without bladder and bowel control. However, today she is a perfectly normal, beautiful, happy girl with her life ahead of her because of Dr. Abelowitz. Throughout the whole ordeal, Dr. Abelowitz guided, supported and clearly explained everything to me and my husband. There is no way that we could have gotten through that three year period without his expertise and support. In my opinion, there is no other choice in choosing a pediatrician.

Weve been seeing Dr. Abelowitz and his team for 7 years. The team is consistently very good. Not only is the care we received from him excellent, everyone there knows our girls and greets them upon their arrival. The best part of the care from Dr. Abelowitz is that when he refers us to a specialist, they are the best in their field. Every referral was to someone who leads research, publishes books/articles, chairs specialized task forces, etc. They are remarkably qualified. So the care you get at Coastal Kids is excellent, and then their network of care is exceptional. There is no co-pay or fee that is more important than that. Now, about the fees, there is a poster in each exam room that lists all the routine items for which he does not charge a fee. It was good to know. But again, the quality of the care is why we drive 30 minutes each way to see him and his team. My only complaint is that there are so many patients. The front-office staff is great at getting our girls in when we need to be seen same-day. Same-day appointments are likely to be with one of the other Coastal Kids doctors or nurse practitioners. I personally think it is better for more people on the team to know our girls and, more importantly, that our girls know them.

Our four children range in age from 9-17 and we have been patients since the beginning. We have had consistent excellent treatment, customer service, and every doctor we have worked with has been knowledgeable and had a great bedside manner. Dr. Abelowitz is accessible and also oversees all of the doctors in the practice in case they are more serious matters that he needs to address or refer out. Every referral has also been top-notch. I trust Dr. Abelowitz and his team with the health of my children and cannot speak highly enough to the consistent exceptional treatment we have received. Once inside the office with our doctors, we received full focus and never felt rushed. All of our questions are thoughtful answered. The front office staff has always been responsive and professional. There is no other practice in Orange County I can recommend more!

Dr Abelowitz is the best pediatrician in Orange County hands down. Our children have been seeing Dr Abelowitz and his staff for almost 8 years now. He is very professional, attentive and of course incredibly knowledgeable. We have always felt we are in the best hands. The nurses are also very professional and when our kids needed shots the care they took was very comforting. We can not say enough about Coastal Kids and the care our kids receive. We are world travelers and our kids seem to always have something happen while we away. Dr Abelowitz has always been there for us, taking our calls at all hours of the night or day. Choosing a pediatrician for your child is one of the most important decisions you have to make and I can say without hesitation that Dr Abelowitz is a fantastic choice. In fact I would go as far to say the best choice.

If people are claiming this is the best pediatrician (Dr. Abelowitz) or pediatric clinic in Orange County then the County is in desperate need of better pediatricians and clinics for that matter. First off this clinic is run more like a corporation so you will never see Dr. Abelowitz besides on the website and on a picture frame in the waiting room touting him as a top pediatrician. The office staff at their Newport Beach clinic is unfriendly and rude. After a couple of years of dealing with this place I will be looking for a new pediatrician for my daughter. This clinic and Doctor are way overrated.

Dont listen to the negative review. We have been seeing Dr. Abelowitz for years now and see him for every checkup without issue. He even goes out of his way to make himself available, when possible, for last minute sick-kid visits. Every good doctor has to be out of the office occasionally to do hospital visits but never once has Coastal Kids or Dr. Abelowitz let us down. His staff is excellent, very caring and EXTREMELY accommodating. Dr. Abelowitz is very knowledgeable, great with kids and is able to explain everything in a way that is very easy to understand.

Love this office, and all of his staff. Even when we cant see Dr. Abelowitz, we know we are in great hands, because every single staff member is as attentive and professional as Dr. Abelowitz. Not many offices these days have weekend hours, and are attentive to the needs of their clients. Dr. Abelowitz always makes us feel as we are the only ones in the office, never rushes us out, and always has time to answer all of our questions and our concerns. We dont in particular love to visit doctors offices, but when you have to, this is one is a winner hands down.

We feel fortunate to have found Dr. Abelowitz. The care and personal attention he has given our family is truly appreciated. He is always accommodating and gives us his full attention. We never feel rushed in our visits. Furthermore, when we have to make unscheduled appointments, his office staff is helpful and considerate, and the other staff doctors that fill in are exceptionally qualified. Add to this, the positive feedback we have gotten from other doctors regarding Dr. Abelowitz, and we could not be happier to have him look after our family.

At first glance I liked this practice a lot. However they were not overly concerned with my daughters weeze and when I requested a nebulizer they would not prescribe, said I could rent for $100 per day as if that wasnt costly. We ended up at CHOC due her weeze getting worse without one. I obviously transferred doctors and when requesting records her immunization chart was inaccurate missing shots she actually had recieved. A mess. Much happier now.

I am so happy to find Dr. Abelowitz as the new pediatrician to my son. Just moved from east coast and he was incredibly patient with my son, listened to my concerns, was very knowledge and referred me to several professionals in the area. I liked his personality and the time he took during the consultation. The graciousness to take time and get to know my son and my family was a plus and made us very comfortable.
