I just got back from my appointment at the Planned Parenthood in Pasadena, and I am actually giddy with how positively wonderful it went. I had never been to a Planned Parenthood before, and was really nervous to go, but my experience definitely exceeded my expectations. I was able to get an appointment only a couple days after I called, and was informed on the phone to expect for the whole trip to take 2 hours with wait times. This may seem long, however it is a free clinic, and I am impressed that the wait time wasnt longer (Id been to clinics while traveling in Europe that are free and government funded and had to wait as long as 8 hours). My appointment was in the smaller building, and I had the most wonderful staff that I met with, from the initial nurse who took all my information and my blood draw, to the absolutely fantastic nurse practitioner - I think her name was Adrianne or Adrianna - who went through all my various options and was incredibly helpful and pleasant in answering all my questions. It was wonderful to be able to talk with the staff about various issues and concerns, and I definitely felt cared for. I have no idea what the staff in the other building are like, or what this place has been like in the past, but all I can say about it now was that I could not have hoped for a better experience, and that it was far and above my expectations. I really appreciate everything they did for me there and everything they do for the patients they receive.

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! About two years ago, I had the panic attack of my life. A few months into my present relationship, I had what I can only suppose was an allergic reaction--an answer Im left to assume by myself. Assuming that as nice a neighborhood as Pasadena may have well kept establishments, I drove up at 8am from Glendale. After an hour and half wait for an appointment Id scheduled two days in advance, I was left in the hands of the B*TCHIEST doctor I hope to ever know. As she questioned me on my condition she already fell upon the conclusion I had an STD. None of my history was of any real concern. She pretty much deadpanned to me what she thought it was. But she could give nothing to me till tests came back. NO bedside manner to be HEARD of. Weeks later, left to deal with it on my own, I managed to clear the problem up. But, not before losing my job in the stress and worrying my boyfriend to near death. I called back in hopes of getting the test results if they came early, typical STD tests were neg, but the one I was waiting on needed another two weeks. Finally, I resigned myself to letting them call me if it was truly serious. They never did. Never going back.

I called to make an appointment and they couldnt see me for 2 weeks, typical. So my appointment day comes around and I arrive at 11:24 ( 9 short minutes after my 11:15 appointment). As I stand in line for another 10 to check in they ask me step inside the office and said " they run a strict 10 minute late policy" so I would have to reschedule. Now I am no math wiz, but I let her know that it was actually 9 minutes. THEN she contradicted herself and said "well actually its a 5 minute policy". So not only was I not going to get my appointment, the staff was now sitting there lying to me. I let her know she was contradicting herself and I would not like to reschedule with their location. Maybe if the staff wasnt staring at the clock all day (probably because they hate their jobs and want to go home) and actually tried helping the young men and women at the clinic, it would not only speed up the process, but bring some satisfaction into their lives that they are actually helping someone, .....instead of turning them away!

two years ago this location inserted the Paragard copper IUD for me and all was fine until two months ago when I began to have complications. I felt a pain in my side and was bleeding heavily for 10 days when I came in to ask them if they could ultrasound and see if the device was perforating my insides... well they said there wasnt enough evidence that I was in danger and they didnt want to waste the resources on me so they SENT ME AWAY. I kept bleeding heavily for another week until I thought I was dying and my GP got me an emergency apt at a real OBGYN. They gave me an ultrasound and GUESS WHAT THE IUD HAD PERFORATED and had to be removed. I know they are stretched for resources but this office inserted the device and they should be responsible for treating patients who have complications. DO YOU EVEN CARE IF YOUR PATIENTS ARE IN DANGER?!?!?

My girlfriend needed refills for birth control so target helped her set up an appointment there at 1pm.. Well I hope your not reading this review to late. Their was a line of people outside the clinic. It will take you an hour. (1hr 30mins for us) to see a doctor regardless if you have an appointment . And no help afterwards. See if you can get help elsewhere. Just go to another clinic your insurance recommends.

This Planned Parenthood saved my life. A doctor here noticed that my throat was enlarged, and she drew blood. The results showed that I had a hyperactive thyroid that had gotten out of hand. If she hadnt noticed this, I dont know where Id be today. I am on medicine and feeling better then ever. I am so grateful that it is there and that it does so much to help those of us who go there for healthcare.

Ive been waiting for two hours with an appointment scheduled. And multiple patients were discussing theyve been waiting for more than two hours with scheduled appointments aswell. Just avoid this planned parenthood at all costs. It seems like theyre understaffed I guess.

The walk in clinic supposedly started at one. But they didnt open the doors until one and it took until 1:30 to call their first person back.
