TL;DR: Good service/doctors/etc, shady billing. I have mixed feelings. I went for an ACL surgery, and everything so far has been great, the service, the recovery, etc. However, they did bill more than they should. Like most healthcare, the surgery was expensive (~$82k), but I was charged only for $2k and my insurance paid the rest. A month later, I get a second bill for $250. My max out-of-pocket is $2k. So I talk to the clinic and they happily waive the $250 off. After, during a conversation with my insurance, I am told that in fact I should have been charged _only_ $250, not $2k. Again, I call the clinic, again they happily issue the reimbursement, which will take around 2 to 3 weeks. These could seem like "honest mistakes" but it is unprofessional for them to charge more than it should and yet proceed to bill me an extra amount. When faced with their double billing, they should have realized their mistake, yet, they proceeded to simply "waive" the smaller quantity. It is alarming that they have no pressure to bill you correctly and that I had to call a second time to point out what was an obvious mistake of theirs. In total, they will keep my wrongly taken money for around two months, yet if you dont pay in 30 days you end up with a stain in your credit score.
