I have been to this hospital unfortunately more than I like . I was last here with my oldest daughter approx. May 2017. The wait then was over 30 min. and then we didnt see a doctor for another 30min. My daughter was in pain the whole time, till I complained about it , then finally she was given morphine for her pain by a different nurse. Again I am at this godforsaken place , with my youngest daughter . We arrived at 4:30am , signed in and waited , at the time one person was ahead of us. Patiently waiting we saw several other people walkin and register to see a doctor. Not only did they help several of these people , who came after us first , I had to remind the attendants my daughter had been experiencing constant pain since we arrived and now was feeling lightheaded and nauseous. Needless to say they were apologetic and explained that the patients , called before her , arrived only 3min and 7min after her. This meant absolutely nothing to me , for I was not bothered by the order of patient selection , I merely stated again that we had been there 45min and they had done nothing for my daughters psin. With not so much as an apology for delay or a question regarding her well being. That was unexceptable to me , it showed a high level of detachment and lack of compassion. We were finally escorted to a room after , having waited patiently , I approached the attendant and stated again , that my daughter was in constant stomach pain causing her , a 20 year old to cry. She is currently a pulley, as they are called, in the Marine recruitment program. She doesnt cry easily. I am writing this because it is now 7:00am and I was asked to leave her room due to female exams , but as of yet none have been performed , she is still in pain , and the doctor finally stepped into room 5 min ago. I am disgusted at the level of inefficiency and lack of compassion at this fascility . I expected better and have been greatly dissatisfied and disappointed in this hospital emergency ward. With a company slogan of " THRIVE" ! It would have been nice to feel that commitment at any point in my last two visits. I would have been better off choosing a different hospital for the care of my daughters ! I am apologizing For making this mistake to my youngest right now! It wont happen again , regardless of what insurance we carry. With a brand new state of the art hospital you expect better. Again disappointed would be a huge understatement !!!!

Love too, I dont know what good it will do. My experience since 11/2016 to 12/13/2016 I had many CT scans, nurses not knowing where to put an IV one IV burst in arm that burns like you wouldnt believe and my arm swollen for days. Then when you complain to customer care and they supposedly do investigation they blame you its your fault. Well theres a lot more than this that has happened in this time. With all the CT scans I had ultrasounds echocardiograms you name it Ive had it done not one professional person found I had an embolism in my chest that they were testing for and a blood clot in my left leg. I have told my primary care doctor that I was having trouble breathing I was having really bad shoulder pain and I was in her office throwing up and barely walk and in result was I had walking pneumonia and sent home with an inhaler and medication for nausea. Bottom line I ended up in emergency on 13 December with the blood clot in my left leg and a huge embolism in my chest and not one so-called professional whoever is reading those test results CT scans basically could not find it or could not see it. I almost died. I ended up in the hospital for one week on heparin this is not my first round with blood clots this is like my fourth blood clot and nobody had a clue primary doctor CT scan radiologist. So now I dont trust doctors primary. I do trust my cardiologist and surgeon who discovered this. Now on the positive side in the hospital the NURSES staff was awesome sweet nice cannot say more how professional they were caring. One professional doctor cannot say enough about her she was awesome I only had her for one day. The other doctor I had not so professional very argumentative very rude and she was kicked out of my room did not want her back. So San Leandro Kaiser has a lot to work on and I dont want to reply back saying so-and-so appreciate your feedback and they will send it up to so-and-so to review it and work on it and they have a lot to work on it maybe they should take the lead role from the nursing staff in the hospital. I hope this helps other people.

This facility is nice and I like Kaisers technology overall. Its up to date. But, Ive seen a few doctors/specialists in the last couple years and they are all in a rush when treating me. They are quick to prescribe things so they can finish the appointment and get to the next patient, rather than asking "Whats the least invasive option we can try first?" Just got out of an appointment with doctor Bhakta, and he was somewhat urging me to get my dtap shot today, since they didnt have it in their records. We are new to Kaiser so I asked if he had received my records from my past doctor because I wasnt sure when I last got that shot. He couldnt find the records and said "You would probably remember if you got the shot recently." I told him I would call my old office and ask them, and he repeatedly told me he had to go and that I could come back another day for the shot. He was only with me for about 10 mins! In the end, I got a hold of my old office and they said I had the shot 2 years ago, so I am not due for 8 years. Too much focus on inefficiency at Kaiser to the detriment of patients.

Theres a "new system" in which only one person is working in the pharmacy after hours. Shes taking a long time because nobody knows how to run the new system that they just put in the hospital. Many people told me that they have even waited for more than 3 hours just to get their medicine, after that, the patients had to go somewhere else to get another kind of medicine in the same building. Its midnight and Im writing this, still standing in the line after 1 hour to get the medicine for my mother. I think Ill be waiting another hour just to get it, I hope they dont send us somewhere else. The bad service that they have is unbelievable. Patients and I will really appreciate if Kaiser hires more professional people who actually know what they are are doing. PLEASE, HELP YOUR PATIENTS IN A PROPER WAY! This is an UPDATE. ... Okay... now I have waited 4 hours in the line, this is ridiculous! I will never come back again!

I give this place less than a 1 because i took my 5 month old baby to the ER because he was vomiting alot, very weak, pail, dehydrated and has not been eating at all. There was only 2 ladies working on one patient at a time and when they got to us they took his vitals and said to have a seat and waiting time is 1 to 2 hr wait. This is rediculous! I am never coming to this hospital again! I felt like i was at highland hospital and thats real sad. They make a big deal about the brand new kaiser in San Leandro well i think its a horrible place! I pay for my insurance i shouldnt be waiting that long for my baby to be seen. If you have a choice go to a different Kaiser this one sucks! Or choose a different plan they dont care about there patients they just want to get paid.
