My parents were in need of some dental work and were unsatified with the way they had been treated at their previous dentist. A close friend of mine recommended Dr. Shmara. Even though my parents live over 25 miles away I scheduled an appointment for them based off of that recommendation. I am so glad I did. My mom and dad came home completely satisfied. They said Dr. Shmara was very professional, that his staff was very friendly, and that the facilities were up to date and clean. He outlined all of the work that my parents needed and how much it would cost ahead of time. He answered all of their questions. Most importantly he made them feel welcome. For me these are all very important qualities when doing business with someone. My parents will be going back despite the distance. If you live in the area or are willing to take a drive, Dr. Shmaras office is the place to go!

Dr. Shmara is a true professional. I have a family member who is very afraid and distrustful of dentists - long history of poor quality treatment. Dr. Shmara was very direct in her treatment needs and laid out a plan that worked for us both financially and with our time. He is kind and gentle. He is the kind of dentist that turned a real dental phobic to a life-long loyal patient. He really makes you feel like he is treating you like family. Dr. Shmara & staff are SUPER!! Im a BIG chicken, way scared by former dentists and Dr Shmara has really put me in a comfort zone. Yesterday I was in for the temp for a cap, and I wasnt scared one bit! In the recent past, hes done a root canal for me...no pain, an implant - okay a little discomfort - and a veneer PERFECT. They are gentle, explain whats happening and give me time estimates..oh so necessary for me. I drive from the west LA to come to his dental practice and always leave feeling well cared for and happy to have made the effort.
