My visit was a referral from Kaiser under their insurance plan. I had an appointment within 2 days for the evaluation and the wait was only ~15 minutes (the reason I gave two stars instead of only one). My reason for the visit was to have the upper appliance re-lined as well as the lower to close a slight gap between appliance and the gum line with my 3 implants. An inexperienced, technician (under the supervision of another x-ray tech) took several x-rays of my upper and the lower jaw with the three implants. Several had to be re-taken because the target was not sufficiently visible in the image. Then I was seen by an assistant who ordered a scan that was to be an extra $150.00. I asked if she was a dentist. She said she was a long term assistant to the DDS. I asked repeatedly to see the dentist, they did the scan without the doctor approving the need. This scan was done by the x-ray tech who was previously supervising . She placed my chin at too low a level, which made my back stick out to the point where the device could not rotate. It was re-done, with me standing upright. Not the sign of a trained professional!! I asked the assistant again to see the dentist and after insisting to see the dentist the DDS finally arrived and stayed in the background. Back at the counter they gave me the bill with an estimate with average prices that apparently reflected insurance participation. This bill states that the lower was secured by two implants, when in fact there are three. The fact that I had to insist to see the dentist. In all my dentist appointments through my life I met the dentist either first or right after the seating even for cleaning. The inaccurate count of implants shattered my confidence and I did not make a follow-up appointment and told them that I would check with my original dentist who did all the previous work in my mouth. Thats what I ended up doing and I am very happy I did. The original dentist did all the work and gave me an unexpected, most generous, discount since Kaiser would not cover this as he is out of network. I should mention that Affinity Dental did NOT charge me for the $150.00 scan, they must have realized that a billable procedure needs the approval of the DDS. I am not out any money at Affinity Dental except for the low co-pay.

How often are you supposed to go the dentist? Twice a year! I limit that to once a year bcuz I dislike going to the dentist very much but I need to because my teeth are obviously very important and my visit with Affinity Dental definitely changed my mind. This office is so refreshing. Right when you walk in the building theres like this bridge with a relaxing pond and a little waterfalls. Super cute. Then once you hit the 4th floor and go into Affinity Dental, the waiting area is as if you are visiting a friends house. The waiting room has that homey feel with the living room set up. Couches and a flat screen with a movie on. I was greeted and filled out some paperwork. Then within 15 min maybe less I was called back for my xrays. The young dental assistant was super welcoming. He did a great job with my xrays and was very polite. Complimented me and made me feel very comfortable. Then I met with Dr. Korys assistant Brittney who was a sweetheart. I felt as if she was a good friend. Its rare you get that feeling when you first meet someone. Expecially at your dental appointment. Finally Dr. Kory walked in, shook my hand, and began her examination. I must say, I love Dr. Kory! She is so attentive and sweet and made me feel as if she genuinely cared about my oral health. Ive never had that connection with a Dentist. Im cavity free, thank goodness! I will be going back for my cleaning and teeth whitening treatment. I couldnt be more excited to go back to the dentist. I recommend this dental offfice to everyone especially coming from someone who avoids going to the Dentist. You can trust me on this one. ;) Thank you Dr. Kory and team for an awesome dental visit. I think I found my dentist in San Diego.

this review has been a long time coming. just because a dentist and their office team is great upfront, what happens down the road, is what we care most about. I mean quality of work. I am not an easy customer to deal with, Im picky ,and I know my mouth. I dont have money coming out my ears, either. First off, nice folks, pretty good at taking you back close to your appt. time they helped me figure the money out, and when my next paycheck came, I paid the remander of balance . I had some work done, and mostly due to the condition of my teeth, it wasnt right, they worked until it was right.... then my crown cracked....my new one...... they got me another right away , and this one works well... they are trying hard to make my teeth healthy ,for as long as they can, since I dont have all the cash to do what they recommended . they did something for me, that other offices wouldnt do ,cause it wasnt a big money maker.......it has changed my life they will work hard for you I will continue to go to these guys , thank you so much for all youve done AFFINITY!!!!

Unfortunately, they had me pay upfront for dental work. Well now, Im going to a new dentist due to the botched job they did on my crown. I only had the crown for a year and six months. Plus, when I needed my root canal done and their office couldnt do it for me due to my insurance. So I had to drive La Jolla to get it done and that really pissed me off. The worst part of it is, that Dr Kory suggested I get my cleanings and fillings done first as opposed to taking care of my root canal/crown. When the crown was done, I thought it was over. Well I guess not. Recently, I was doing my routine flossing and my crown pops off completely. Of course, that sent me into panic mode. At this moment, my new dentist looked at the crown, it was not the right fitting for my tooth. Please, dont have any dental work done with them.

Since the moment I walked in, this dental office had my heart fluttering. The staff is so warm and welcoming, the doctors are so personal, I didnt have to worthy about a single thing walking in there. By my 2nd visit I felt like family. The dental staff know how to make you apart of their fun energetic atmosphere with out compromising their professionalism. Some of the doctors sing to you in the chair, whils some tell stories. Either way it is so entertaining you almost forget your in the chair being worked on... almost. It was 15 years between my dental appointments, but this staff makes me excited for my next visit. Thank you so much Affinity Dental for not only fixing my smile, but also warning my heart.

I was referred to this dental office so I figured it would be pretty good. Well let me tell you, its not pretty good...its EXCELLENT. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. They make you feel like part of the family from the second you walk through their doors. They are very thorough, patient, experienced and all with a smile. I loved that things were explained to me to help me understand what would be the best treatment. But wasnt pressured in to anything. Some dentist are hard core with their sales pitches...this office is not. I will recommend this office to all of my friends. Thank you so much for how I felt while I was there, and how great I felt after I left.
