Koka Dental Clinic was a wonderful experience. Everyone is so kind and knowledgable. Anyone can call and speak with receptionist extraordinaire Dot - Shes awesome. She knows how to communicate with patients from people who have never been to the dentist to speaking with people with advanced dental knowledge. She can literally answer any question. The facility is so clean and organized. The machines and dental equipment are top of the line. Dr. Koka is by far the best Prosthodontist. I am a long haul truck driver and was in town only for a little while and desperately needed his dentures and implants fixed, as soon as possible. I could barely could eat because I was in so much pain. I was referred to Dr. Koka and told that he would be the best prosthodontist in all of San Diego for the job. He was. On the drive over I was thinking "I sure dont like the dentist" "I hate going to the dentist." "I think I left my wallet at home..." you get the idea. I didnt want to have another bad dental experience. I walk up to the office and Dot the receptionist was holding the door open for me. She warmly smiled and greeted me with coffee and had me take a seat while having a lovely conversation with me. Dr. Koka came out immediately and sat down in the waiting room next to me and introduced himself and asked how he could help. (Nobody was in the room, so privacy wasnt an issue) I was blown away by the sincerity and kindness of this dentist. I told a long story of the hardships of my past dental experiences and everything I have been through has been really rough. Dr. Koka sat and listened to the entire story. We exchanged a few laughs, Dr. Koka has great humor too. He then brought me back to the exam room and examined my situation. After the exam, Dr. Koka told me what would need to be done with certainty and confidence that this would take care of my painful dental situation. I made it clear that I am never in the area and cant come back a million times to keep getting work done. Dr. Koka understood this and did the job perfectly, I have never been happier and healthier, thanks to Dr. Koka. Koka Dental Clinic will be the best decision you ever made. I promise, they will make you feel right at home.

Hello, my name is Larry. I was recently referred to Koka Dental Clinic by my spouse’s dentist. We had been talking with him regarding my problems getting a set of dentures ( my first, btw) that fit my mouth and that allowed me to actually eat with them in. I had been going to a “Same Day Service’, we have all seen them on TV… “ I got it all done in one day!” so they say. Well, after nine months without being able to wear my teeth even after repeated visits to the previous dentist for adjustments, and going into some serious depression, I called and made an appointment to see Dr Koka. Apprehensive at first, of course, I met with Dr Koka and his assistant Dot. What an absolute pleasure it was to be in their company. It was almost instantly that I felt at ease and if I had known them all along. Dr Koka and Dot shared stories and jokes with us which made us feel very comfortable and secure with our choice. The molds that Dr Koka uses are the coolest things. It is a special material that, when heated, becomes pliable which allows it to be formed around your gums. A much nicer process than having a mouthful of rubber gunk that really makes you gag most of the time. After we had finished with those, and were setting up the next appointment Dr asked me to find some pictures of me (when I had teeth), so he could get a better idea of what my teeth did look like naturally. A great thing in my opinion. The other provider was not concerned with that. When I came to the next appointment I shared my pictures, (me with smiles) and we picked out teeth from a folder of samples. There were all shapes, sizes and colors… never saw anything like that at the previous provider. The previous dentist said there was only “one size fits all” for their dentures. Longer story shortened, it has been a great pleasure working with Dr Koka and Dot. My teeth not only look like my own, but I am able to eat once again and can wear my teeth comfortably all day. He is very available to me if I do have any problems or sore spots. As most of you with dentures know, it is a processes to perfection! If you need dentures, implants, partials, etc… DO NOT HESITATE… Call Koka Dental Clinic NOW!

I am an an RN who has had extensive dental work throughout my life. Dr. Koka is, by far, the BEST! He and his wonderful wife, Dot, make an incredible team. They worked their schedule around my oral surgery in order for me to have my temporary bridge done the same day. This entailed work prior to and after the surgery. Dr. Koka is extremely knowledgeable, gentle and caring. I was amazed how quickly he was able to remove my old crowns and with such precision. The injection of anesthetic was painless, he removed the old crowns on adjacent teeth quickly and with great precision and the temporary bridge fits perfectly. He took great care to make sure it would not compromise my extracted tooth surgical site. Dot was equally fast and precise and caring. It is clear that offering the best care for their patients is of utmost importance to them. They treat you like family and I immediately felt secure and knew I could trust them to do great work, which they did! I highly recommend Dr. Koka and Dot. You will be in skilled hands with two of the most gracious, caring people people you could ever hope to meet. They go above and beyond. This was displayed when I had concern about my surgical site and had not yet heard back from my oral surgeon on a weekend day. Dr. Koka and Dot happened to be in the office doing some paperwork and offered to see me immediately. They truly are dedicated and caring. I am so very grateful to be under their care and can honestly say I look forward to completing other work I have put off because I have finally have found my dental care "home".

I had lost faith in my old dentists. The practice had been sold and the new crew all seemed to have boat payments to make. I was slow to find a new dentist (typical guy). Eventually, the lack of maintenance forced me to start looking for a dentist and Koka jumped out from my searches. First, Dr. Koka was on the staff at Mayo Clinic for nine years and continues to travel and lecture. Dr. Raz is still on the staff at the UNLV dental school, so both are up to date on current techniques and procedures and approach their practice as academics rather than as USC MBAs. They are both very talented dentists that will give you options for treatment. Sometimes, even doing nothing is the prudent policy. They are interested in discovering what you want to do with your teeth and will support you in that regard. Me? I wanted to keep my teeth (apparently thats not a universal desire for those of with problem teeth). I had to have three teeth extracted as part of the process (two were crowns that had already snapped off and the other was infected). Dr. Raz was in charge of that part and she was able to get them out quickly and without consequence. My mouth healed quickly and well begin the implant portion in March. The offices are conveniently just over the bridge from Convoy St. The office is clean and everyone in the office is amazingly friendly. You will understand costs (which they keep to the national median pricing - a plus in San Diego), options, and future treatment. They are simply the best and you will not be disappointed.
