I have taken my daughter to Dr. Taheri for the past 4 years. There have been many times that I have felt uncomfortable with his recommendations, with the way that he speaks to me as a parent, and with the way he treats my daughter. One example is that he wants to take x-rays every 6 months. My insurance covers xrays once a year. I had never heard of taking them so frequently. When I questioned him he tried to frighten me saying that childrens teeth change so quickly and that I was taking my childs health in my own hands. He gives me the same speech each time I decline to have xrays taken every 6 months. A second example was once when I brought my daughter in for her regular cleaning. She had quite a bit of tartar on her bottom teeth. He picked at it for a minute or so and then stood up and said with frustration, I cant deal with this, and walked away. I was in shock as was my daughter. The final straw to motivate me to leave his practice for good happened this past month. My daughter, now 6, has just gotten her 6 year molars. He looked at them and explained to me that he wanted to do prophylactic resins. He explained that he would drill all her permanent molars to remove any grooves and then cover them with resin. The estimated cost was $700 (not covered by insurance). When I told him I was uncomfortable with drilling my daughters healthy teeth (he told me she did not have any cavities, just grooves) he told me that it was my choice but that she would most likely need root canals in 6 months to a year. I then asked him if he would place sealants to fill in the grooves. He told me he didnt do sealants because they would cause more cavities. I felt awful. We take very careful care of my daughters teeth. She has never had a cavity. When I went home I immediately called another dentist and took her in the next week for a second opinion. The second dentist looked at her teeth and explained to me that of course she had grooves in her teeth because they were brand new teeth. She examined my daughter and couldnt find any cavities or even staining to warrant the treatment Dr. Taheri so strongly advised. The second doctor simply placed sealants on the four permanent molars. The entire procedure lasted 15 minutes and was completely covered by insurance. I am so grateful to have a new dentist, one who doesnt try and make me feel guilty and afraid and try to convince me to consent to expensive, unnecessary treatments for my child. I have never written a review before, but sought after this site so that I could caution any parent considering using Dr. Taheri and also so I could warn any parent currently taking their child to him to please get a 2nd opinion before consenting to any procedure.

My girls have been treated by Dr. Taheri for 8 years now. When we adopted our oldest child she needed extensive dental work. We wanted to be sure she went to a childrens dentist who treated her with kindness, gentleness and took no short cuts by using cheaper methods for her treatment plan. Over the years, Dr Taheri has been able to get our daughter to where she needed to be in order to get braces. Most families operate within a budget based on their dental insurance. Dr. Taheri always provided us with options and prioritiy as to which treatment should be first and which treatment could wait. My girls do not dread going to the dentist. They always look forward to getting good checkups and positive reinforcement from Dr. Taheri. The staff is always pleasant and make my girls feel comfortable and not anxious during each visit. Im so thankful that we found Dr Taheri DDS

My son is 4 years old and needed an emergency root canal and other work on his teeth. At his previous appt with another dentist he did not sit still or even allow x-rays. The minute we walked into Dr. Taheris office he was calm and did not give one fight! The way they talked to him and kept him occupied was amazing. After his first visit of major work I thought for sure the 2nd visit only a few days later he would cry, but no! He was eager to go back and was the perfect patient! Dealing with the administration was even smooth! Best experience I have ever had in all my years of going to the dentist with my other children and my oldest is 24! I would highly reccomend Dr. Taheri to anyone! Even though we came here due to his emergency work, I will be moving Christopher to this dentist office going forward.

My daughter and son love Dr. Taheri office! The waiting room is neat, and theres some toys for the children. Most important, everyone is patient and nice. My 2-year-old son had his 1st dentist visit here, and he felt kind of scared when the assistant cleaned his teeth, he screamed and kicked. The assistant and the doctor tried their best to sooth my little one and get their job done. After the cleaning and oral check, my son got a small toy ball, he felt happy again! My daughter had her treatment recently, although its a little bit painful, the doctor and the assistant encouraged her. After the treatment, she got a funny sticker: "My cheeks and lips are numb"! Which made her feel better. They gave me detailed instructions before & after the treatment, so I could take good care of my daughter.

I took my son to Dr. Taheris office for his first dentist appointment and am very happy that I did! They gave my son toys to keep him occupied and were quick so that he wasnt too fussy. This is so important because its hard to hold onto a squirmy 13 month old. I was also grateful that All of the staff are very friendly. I especially was impressed by and appreciative of the help the receptionist gave me before hand with straightening out my new insurance and making sure Dr. Taheri was in my network. She took my info over the phone and called my insurance for me. For previous dentists, I was given the code information and had to call my insurance and inquire myself. I am so happy that the first dentist I chose worked out! This will be me my sons dentist for a very long time.

My entire familys dental needs are taken care of by Dr. Naderi and Dr. Taheri. My wife and I see Dr. Naderi, and my kids see Dr. Taheri. After Changing dentists three times in just four years, we are extremely pleased to have found them. The Drs have instilled confidence in us by consistently providing us with quality care. We have had a variety of dental needs, with some procedures being difficult. They were able to competently resolve all of our issues. They have always been patient and thorough in explaining the course of action needed. They have a gentle approach that always makes us feel comfortable and relaxed. I actually look forward to my dentists appointments because they are all so friendly.

Though I went to this practice before Dr. Taheri took over, the service and care has remained the same. Im now 27 and have been going to this practice since I was 7 years old! Dr. Taheris wife and partner, Dr. Naderi is now my dentist. She is AMAZING--so caring and concerned about me all the time. She is gentle and kind and always stays to talk with me about my concerns or even about life-work and school, etc. I will go to her as long as I can. She has reconstructed all my back teeth, due to cracks and stress and silver fillings needing to be replaced. I am so happy with how beautiful my teeth look. I cant sing her praises enough!
