This is the best dental experience Ive had in my 30 years of life! Seriously, Dr Rong and his staff are amazing. I bought a Groupon for x-rays, cleaning, and whitening ($69), which is an amazing bundle by itself. However, after looking at my x-rays, Dr Rong went above and beyond to make sure all my teeth issues were addressed. He showed me on the x-rays that my teeth grinding at night was causing the erosion of my tooth bone, and offered to put cement (not sure what its called) in the weak areas which will strengthen my teeth and remedy the subsequent sensitivity (my teeth are super sensitive because of the grinding). He also will give my teeth a deep cleaning next week, in addition to the normal cleaning he gave me today, because my x-rays showed that I need this done. This deep cleaning and the above mentioned cement are being covered by my insurance. FYI, if you have CA PPO dental insurance than you should be covered for any other, urgent work needed on your teeth. I knew that I needed to get a lot of work done on my teeth and was waiting for the right dentist to come along. My family dentist of 20+ years just has not been performing like I was use to as a kid. Also, the cement my previous dentist applied to my eroded teeth fell off after a few months. Dr. Rong also pointed out, via my x-rays, that my root canal (previous dentists work) from February 2015 was not the best work, due to the gaps left in the canal filling. So Im ditching my family dentist, sorry guys, if youre reading this. In short, Dr. Rong is the best out there! Period... or rather, exclamation mark! Advice: ditch your current dentist and visit him (I did), youll be happy you did too

Soooooo Much Better than any dentist Ive been too. I really have had some bad experiences with other places and needed a lot of work done on myself and a couple fillings for my 4year old daughter. I reached Journeyman Status in my union and upped my benefits because I had a personal goal of having nice teeth again and being a single/Overprotective parent I dont have a ton of money, and its hard to trust people around my daughter. So needless to say finding the right dentist was AN EXTREMELY important decision to me and I couldnt be happier that I chose Genuine Care. They coordinated my daughters work and my work in a way that she was 100% comfortable..... I was in the chair for a couple hours during each visit because I needed a lot of work so I was worried my daughter would get impatient, but they handled that problem amazingly. They let her watch whatever show she wanted (Paw Patrol) close by while I was in the chair and gave her a bowl of oatmeal that she asked for. (after they asked my permission of course) Long story short, amazing customer service and top of the line work. 100%completely Satisfied with the work and Ill post some Before/After pictures an you can judge for yourself.

I left my last dentist because he clearly driven only by profit. His entire staff was more concerned about insurance payments than about the condition of my teeth. Even though they messed up and left me in pain after a crown, they were more concerned about doing it again, rather than finding a solution for the pain. It was clear client care was not a primary concern. Getting another insurance payment was their goal. Dr. Rong is completely different. It was clear from the first visit, that he wanted to find the cause and alleviate the pain. Billing for big jobs was not his goal. Being a second generation dentist, it is obvious that he takes pride in being a dentist. He fixed the pain that the other dentist created within one visit. He gave me a plan of action and alternative plan. Luckily, we didnt have to explore plan B because he was able to fix the problem. We need more professional dentists like him, rather than greedy people running dental factories.

We moved to Bay Area a few months back and had been looking for a cozy dental office that offers good services till we found Dr. Rongs office. As stated in other reviews, it is true that Dr. Rong really cares his patients, and you can find this from the moment you walk in the office. Theres a smile on everyones face, everywheres nice and tidy, and theres a TV above the chair, so its so comfy to have any teeth work done. My wife also came here for her teeth cleaning and shes also highly recommended Dr. Rong to her colleagues. Besides, there is a free Sonicare toothbrush for new patient. I had general cleaning but Dr. Rong spent over an hour to do a terrific job. Surprisingly, theres even a monthly raffle to win a ipad. We were lucky enough to have won a brand new iPad Mini. I have to admit I was quite thrilled. However, with all that said, DONT visit Dr. Rongs office for the free Sonicare tooth brush or the iPad raffle. Do visit this office for Dr. Rongs great experience and care of patients.

I have had a great experience with Genuine Care during the three visits I’ve had so far. The wait times have been extremely quick every time I have been there. Both of my visits, the Dr.Rong and his team have been nothing but pleasant and professional. At my first visit Dr.Rong spent some extra time to talk about the future of dental technology and about some improvements in dentistry. Then after the X-ray was done he provided me with all the Information I needed to know for the procedure to be done. I was pleased that his stuff did all the paperwork for the insurance coverage for my dental work. I felt like Dr.Rong and his staff genuinely care about me as an individual and not as just another patient. Dr. Rong did not advise any unnecessary procedure to be done. I was happy about the following next two appointments either, during which I had a filling and a cleaning done. I would highly recommend Dr.Rong to anybody who is looking for an excellent dentist.

Dr. J Rong has all of the aspects I look for in an excellent dentist. He is friendly, open, compassionate, knowledgeable, and quite in tune with my needs. Dr. J Rong always greets me with a smile. He always asks how I am doing and if anything has changed with my medical or medications. He is precocious. He always explains what he would like to do and the reasons why. Then he asks me if I have any questions or concerns before beginning. I am very pain sensitive and he has never hurt me. He performs his own Teeth Cleaning and it is painless. He also has a very good sense of humor. I believe you will no longer dread going to the dentist if you go to Dr. J Rong. Give him a try!
