The reception and staff are not nice! They will not only "not" welcome you, but will find a reason to intimidate you. They do not keep the medical records as confidential as they have to. I think they have no knowledge of HIPAA. I was standing by the counter and taking to the reception about my appointment and the reception told me very rudely to back off and not to look into the tons of piles that were lying "unnecessarily" everywhere on her desk. Honestly, I noticed those files after she told me to back off. Anyway, the doctor is nice. But they will convince you to do unnecessary tests, just to charge you extra. I have done two tests and later realized that both test were for the same purpose and doing one of them would have been enough. Additionally, they dont have enough options in frames. I have a very good VSP plan. And I couldnt find enough basic frame options to be fully covered by my plan. Though I had VSP, I had to pay a good amount of out-of-pocket money. Now, after almost a month, I am still waiting to hear about my glasses. I was promised that they will call me within a week to pick up my glasses. I didnt hear from them for two week and then called them. Their response was as if they have forgotten about my glasses and as if it was something normal. They promised again that they will call me with in a week and my glasses will be ready, for sure thing. I said fair enough no problem. But guess what, after 10 days I am still waiting to receive a call form them and pick up my glass. LoL And by the way, my glasses are just basic glasses for computer use that were prescribed by the doctor because my eyes were aching while using computers. So, yeah expect all these troubles if you are planning to visit. Seriously, if they reading my review and if they want to be in business, they have to improve. It is 2016!

Have been going to Dr. Louie for over 30 years. Dr. Louie is warm, friendly, bright and very meticulous which I find important for someone whos going to keep my eyesight going strong for many years without missing any problems. After all, we all only have one pair of eyes our whole life! Highly recommend!
