Since this practice was sold the professionalism has completely tanked! I took my senior dog for a mandatory exam (which actually consisted of two minute visit to sign a waiver form to bypass blood work) in order to get her epilepsy medication refilled by Erika Miller who is one of the new owners. She and her front staff informed me the prescription would be ready for pick up by 10 am but it was not. I made three trips to the Walmart pharmacy into the evening trying to get my dogs medication but the prescription was never called in nor did they return the pharmacists calls. The pharmacist recognized how important it was for my dog to have her seizure medication and was confused about why the office would not return his calls.The next day I spoke to Erika and she immediately blamed her staff stating it was not her fault my dog was without her medication, it was her staff that did not send the prescription. I asked if she could make sure the prescription went through because my dog was acting strange from not taking her medication. She responded by stating it was my fault I allowed her prescription to expire that I should take better care of my dog if I did not want anything to happen to her. I was amazed by her demeanor over the phone. She took the ordeal as a personal attack against her and proceeded to blame her staff and then me for what occurred. All I wanted was the prescription filled to ensure her safety. Yet this somehow offended Erika as she continued to be extremely unprofessional and without any compassion for what my dog was going through. She never asked how my dog was doing without her medication. She never took any responsibility in her part and she certainly did not follow up to see how my dog was after the fact. To make matters worse Erika attempted to charge me an additional $35 for the five minutes it took her to hand me a quote on an existing condition my dog was previously treated for. I paid a separate exam fee plus medications prescribed for what they originally thought was wrong. My dog was misdiagnosed given medications not needed and finally I was charged more money for a quote on what they now thought was wrong. I was given a ridiculously high quote on what it would cost just to confirm their new findings which does not include a treatment plan rather $110 charge to exam my dog again! The $110 exam fee was just part of the $700 quote. I would never recommend bringing your furry loved ones to this place. It seems the focus is more on profit then helping or caring for animals especially now that this business has exchanged ownership.

I give Plum Creek Veterinary 5 stars. Not too many businesses in Castle Rock display the level of honesty and compassion in which Plum Creek Veterinary displays. The staff is very friendly and caring towards you and your pet. The Vet we saw is such a caring person, one of the few vets I have met where they actually show a desire to help and care for your pet in the correct way. We were immediately seen due to our pets condition and received calls from the vet to discuss our pet and his wellbeing and progress and suggested treatment plans. For the emergency-type visit we made, in short notice and as a new patient.... I am so happy I found such a great vet to take my pet to- Im sure my pet is equally as happy :) I highly reccommend Plum Creek Veterinary!

Excellent service and treatment of my dog. They even offered for me to pay in installments because it was an unexpected surgical expense. They tried a conservative route first, which I appreciated, but we had to do the surgery anyway. Excellent. Highly recommend them.
