I have had my two dogs on the wellness plan for around 4 years. I have never had a problem with Banfield, except for last year when we went to the one on Southgate. It was terrible experience where I didnt even get to talk to the vet about the issues with my dogs. I talked to the technician by the front desk in front of a room full of people. The things they told me were completely contradictory to what they had told me just 6 months prior. It felt like they just wanted to take my money and for me to leave as quickly as possible. With that being said, I was very hesitant to schedule another appointment with Banfield. I seriously considered canceling their wellness plans and moving them to a different vet. But after some time really thinking about what I wanted to do, I decided to take a chance and schedule an appointment with a Banfield that was a little out of my way. I read the two reviews on this location and was skeptical of how my experience would go. My worries were not necessary, however, because this was one of the BEST vet experiences Ive had. We were seen at 0815 in the morning and stayed during the whole visit, which lasted around an hour (and thats exactly how long we were told it would last, too). The lady at the front desk was very nice while checking us in, and the technician we saw was also very nice when we went into the exam room. They asked what questions or concerns we had and took the time to explain what needed to happen as far as their treatment. They were very calm while handling our dogs, which is nice because theyre already scared and nervous at the vet as it is anyway. They made sure to get down low to the dogs level to ensure our dogs were comfortable. They took our dogs back one at a time for their comprehensive exams and did not keep us waiting long. After the exams, the vet, Dr. Rizzardi, came in explained what was normal and what needed to be worked on. He was not condescending in any way and explained everything thoroughly. He gave us all the information we needed and answered all of the questions we had. One of our dogs will need a minor surgery on one of his teeth, and Dr. Rizzardi took the time to explain what the best payment options would be in order to complete the surgery, My husband and I were very satisfied with our experience at this location and will continue to schedule appointments with Dr Rizzardi for all of our dogs needs. In light of this experience, we have to decided to keep our plan and have no concerns when it comes to scheduling our dogs for appointments anymore. Highly recommended for anyone in need of veterinary needs.

This was by far my worst experience at any Banfield hospital. My dog was taken back for a comprehensive exam and my husband and I could hear the staff yelling at my dog to stop! The vet admitted that it was them and that our dog was extremely poorly trained and she could not do an entire exam on him. My husband then said he didnt appreciate them yelling at our dog like that and the vet told us that "if you dont like the care you receive here, there are plenty of other banfields you can go to". After that I was done with this visit. My dog is very well trained and if the vet were to ask us to help him listen we would have absolutely no problem, but it seemed they wanted him in and out and they didnt really care about him at all. I could not believe the rudeness coming from a professional who acted extremely unprofessional. Nothing was explained to us and on our way out the vet tech came to give me a syringe with medication in it and said give this to your dog because we couldnt. I would never give my dog that because who knows what it is, so needless to say I will never return to this banfield ever again!

I have always been treated very well by Banfield...until I went here. I have brought 2 different dogs in and had similar experiences with both. The vet would never speak to me personally, the nurses at the counter were rude and not even remotely sympathetic to any of my questions or concerns, and when I had a dog that was legitimately having a medical emergency, they said they couldnt see her for a week. I will never go here again, I take the time to go all the way across town to Powers where Im not treated like garbage and they actually seem to care for my dogs!

A few years ago, our cat took a massive turn for the worst.. we had no money thanks to another vets office taking everything we had to do absolutely nothing for her. They were so kind. My cat had a hard time breathing and they placed her with oxygen at no charge for 3 hours. Didnt charge us for the visit, unfortunately all we could afford was a steroid and asthma medication. It did ease her suffering, but it unfortunately didnt last long and she passed. But these people eased her suffering and worked as best as they would with us.

This place is the BEST Banfield I have ever went to. I was so pleased with the service, the compassion, the professional attitudes of staff and physcian. Dr. Mac Donald is thee Best I have ever had. My dogs are not young and I have had many vets cause I am very particular how I am treated and my dogs are treated and my experiences at this Banfield have always been perfect without complaint. I would recommend and have recommened this place and the above mentioned doctor to friends and family.

Very friendly staff. My two feline roommates have been treated only with kindness. My female, Trina was not at all happy during a recent visit; I dropped her off on Wednesday 29MAR17 at 0700 for an 1100 appointment. She was hungry, hadnt eaten since 2100 28MAR17. Stressed, in the kennel till the procedure. She got frightened and lashed out at the staff. None of the staff had a harsh word to say about her. She has since been treated again on 19APR17, and had no issues. Thank you staff

I had a terrible experience at the Banfield on powers trying to start up the puppy plan, and the receptionist at THIS Banfield was extremely helpful and polite. The vet we saw knowledgeable, as was the vet tech(or nurse?). Excellent customer service! Thanks for saving us!!!!!

Dr. Justyn is a phenomenal veterinarian! You can really tell he is passionate about animals. He took his time answering all of our questions, being thorough with our furry babies and I really appreciated that!
