I had been unable to smell since age 11 years old, when I developed Asthma. Between allergies and asthma issues as a teenager, I felt pretty miserable and eventually lost my smell altogether. I stopped enjoying food, and used hot sauce on everything I ate so I could at least taste something! When I was 20 years old, I finally received endoscopic sinus surgery, and received my smell back for a brief time period, about 2 years. I felt more alive, and loved how food tasted again! Eventually though, as my asthma and allergies continued to worsen over the years, I lost my sense of smell once again. This last winter, 2012-2013, I started to have chronic sinus infections and I knew I needed to save up for surgery again. The thought of going such a drastic route, only to most likely have issues in the future again was a drag. I did not want to spend the money on surgery, and I did not want to mask the issue again. I knew that surgery would not actually solve the problem. After getting only a few adjustments at Thrive Chropractic, my sense of smell started to return, and now after several adjustments, my smell is nearly 100% restored! I have more energy now, and I feel more alive than ever :) All I want to do is smell candles :) I also have stopped using most of my allergy medicine since I have had almost no congestion. I also went gluten/dairy free around the same time I started seeing the chiropractor, and I believe these diet changes greatly contributed to healing as well. For the most part, my neck has been through a couple car accidents and we suspect that because the car accidents caused my spine to lose its curve, my smell was lost somewhere along the way. As the shape is being restored, so is my sense of smell :) Thanks for reading everyone, go to THRIVE!

I have suffered constant pain in my neck and lower back for many years...probably from as far back as when I was in my late teens when I was in a nasty car accident. 35 years later it has really started to affect my wellbeing as my hips have now tightened up and I am having trouble doing even gentle yoga. I have also suffered headaches almost all my adult life as well as neck and shoulder pain. My husband found reviews on Thrive and in particular Dr. Molly and we determined that this would be a good place to start to work through my issues. We have always been of the opinion that natural alternatives are always the best option. From my first visit with Dr. Molly I knew we were on the right track. She took x-rays and found (as suspected) that my neck and lower back were out and starting to show signs of osteo. As a result, I have commenced a 6 month series of Chiropractic adjustments and massage therapy. I have had instant improvement. My headaches are almost non existent now which is something that I have not had in such a long time I cannot remember how it felt to not suffer them. I can rotate my neck from side to side with no pain now and my lower back is slowly improving as are my hips. The remedial massage provided to complement this treatment has been outstanding. I cannot say how grateful I am that I have found this practice. Their overall holistic attitude to health as well as practical rehabilitation is something I have never found before and will be eternally grateful for. I am looking forward to continued improvement with such optimism now it has affected my entire outlook on life. I could not recommend this place highly enough.

Back in October 2012, I fell 30 feet (in Reno, NV). I busted my pelvis and other stuff. When I fell, my forehead whacked the ground. After all my care, nothing was ever mentioned about the whiplash. A couple years later, it came back to haunt me. I was having constant headaches, backaches and very bad neck pain. I wasnt getting any sleep because of the pain, so I was also sleep deprived, which really complicated my overall health. During this time I thought it was all due to stress on the job. I was constantly going to neck/spine specialists, a chiropractor (who didnt take X-rays), and getting massages. In October 2015, I moved to Colorado Springs. The pain and being sleep deprived was so horrible, all I could think was "I cant go on like this." I had no quality of life! I went to ANOTHER neck/spine specialist who recommended physical therapy. I thank God constantly I didnt listen to him and went to Thrive instead!!!!! Dr Arter took X-rays of my neck and pelvis and explained clearly why I was all jacked up. I had lost the curve in my neck due to the whiplash (and some other issues). Physical therapy is needed for a lot of things but it will not restore the curve in your neck! Other doctors said it was arthritis, nothing I could do about it. Then Dr Arter said "we can help you." Ill never forget that day because I started crying!!! I see Dr Grammar for my adjustments then Angie for strength training. This place is just a package deal! Im so grateful they gave me my life back! I feel bad for Dr Arter because Im always crying in front of him. But, thats how my gratitude comes out, it rolls down my face. Im just so grateful.

This place is aweful I went there to just to see what was wrong with my back because I had a small pinching pain in my left lower back from work I just wanted the pain to go away so they set me up with one appointment for a decompression and an adjustment to see if the pain would supress could come back for more appointments and after that I felt great so I came back for a follow up like they asked and the lady I was with tried to schedule me for 32 more decompressions and 32 more adjustments for a little amount of pain trying to run my bill at 5700 dollars thank god I have great insurance and it paid for alot of it but here I am standing at the counter and my bill still says after insurance that its 1776 dollars and Im like why do I need 32 decompressions and 32 adjustments for just a small amount of pain when you said that my back is just fine and my neck is perfect and they try to feed you with bullshit that will make you think stuff is wrong with you is sad...Im just saying people they arent real with their patients and all they care about is your money even when I was getting a decompression and your suppost to completely relax they will try to sell you some of their helth classes and fitness classes and half you papers and flyers and discounts to try and get money and harass you to buy them even when your saying no thank you after every offer its ridiculous this place only cares about the money and not the patient so I suggest that nobody wastes their time here there are plenty of places that can do a better job than this place Sincerly Unsatisfied pist off customer

My daughter and I both see Dr. Erik Arter at Thrive. I have been suffering from a Herniated Disc in the lower back for years and my daughter has had some neck trauma. There are a few things I would like to mention about Doctor Arter. I was a little skeptical on our first visit. We have seen many other professionals over the years that either misdiagnosed our issues, or only spent their time treating the symptoms and not the causes. I can honestly say that Thrive has a completely different philosophy than what we have experienced elsewhere. They believe in determining and treating the cause. They look at the entire health picture...not just a portion of it...or the symptom in itself. Its truly a health approach from the inside out, looking at the big picture. I was amazed at the level of care they showed us...even on our first visit. This was actually the first time...in a long time that I felt like someone was listening to my concerns, not to mention it was also the first time someone took the time to ask the right questions and provide answers and feedback on some of the issues I have been struggling with during the last five years. I do not feel like just another patient of Dr. Arters...I feel like he genuinely wants to help me get to a better place in my life. I would recommend this place to ANYONE who is looking for a new solution that can truly help them on their way to recovery.
