This was my first and last experience with this clinic. The office does not communicate well, or at all. My first appointment I waited nearly 30 minutes before a nurse saw me then it was another 15 before the doctor came is after I had my tests (The office didnt look that full or busy, mind you, i did take that into consideration). The first contacts didnt sit in my eye well, ok, well try a different brand. When I tried to pick up the second set after work one day I arrived at the office at 5:32 pm, they close at 5:30 pm. Yes, I was late, but I was only picking up contacts with no other paperwork. I knocked on the door and the 3 ladies at the counter looked at me, then turned back to each other like I wasnt there. No "sorry were closed" or any other form of customer service. When i finally did get those contacts I was given the wrong prescription, which required another trip to the office and seeing the doctor. Third set I had to scrounge together other samples because i was leaving on my honeymoon and they had not bothered to tell me that my contacts were in backorder until I called them after there 7-10 business days turned into 3 weeks. When I got back from my honeymoon in October (we are at over 2 months elapsed time from my initial appointment at this point) I called to see if my contacts were in and, by some miscommunication, they werent even ordered. So, i had them order the contacts again and was given the 7-10 business days line again. At this point im pretty frustrated because of the delay and lack of communication from the clinic. So i decided to just wait and see what happened. 2 MONTHS LATER (now December) they called to let me know they have my contacts. Ive already switched insurance because of this poor service and had written off my appointment as a total loss as I had paid for the appointment and had nothing but 1 box of contacts for my left eye (pretty darn useful.....). Luckily (i suppose) they had already charge my former insurance company for the contacts so I just have to pay the difference. You would think a business would inform a customer that their order is delayed by three times as long as quoted, but nah, they dont need to do that. Thats my review: horrible customer service and weariness of a doctor who took 3 tries to get my prescription right (and Im not talking about brand here, the actual prescription). Save yourself the hassle and time and choose someone different. (I dropped my vision insurance after working with this clinic as they were a "Preferred Provider" and this was some of the worst customer service I have experienced in my life.) This is the 3rd time Ive tried to review this clinic and my reviews never get posted. This clinic has some serious customer service issues that people ought to know about. Come on, Google.

The doctor was fantastic and the eye exam was very thorough. The rest of my visit was horrible. After going through the entire exam and having my eyes dilated for the very first time ever, the sales staff and front desk people let me wander around the sales floor for 20 minutes while they were busy with other customers. After the first five minutes I couldnt read a thing because of having my eyes dilated. That was when another customer helped me decide on a pair of frames since I was having a hard time. Finally, one of the women behind the service desk asked me what I was doing. After telling her that I was extremely uncomfortable because I had never gone through an eye exam and that I was unsure of what was to take place next, she said that I would just have to wait for the sales representative and that there was nothing she could do. When I picked up my glasses I was given no instructions on how often or when I should even wear my glasses.

I have been taking my 2 kids here first years and yesterday was an experience I will never again accept. We had no privacy the doctor came out to the waiting room told me very loudly about my teens eyes and I had asked about contacts no privacy stating your insurance dont cover it what happened to privacy she also muttered around loudly about contacts and what I had asked to the who office I heard her and I was trying to help my daughter pick out glasses. Not only that for my other teen no privacy again came out to the lobby and repeated the same with and attitude this time what happened to eye and health care being private and especially what kind of insurance you have very unprofessional. Oh yeah when we got there we had been ignored for 5 mins even with workers walking all around there!

Ive been going to these guys for at last 6 years or so and Im so happy with them. Ive been seeing Dr. Valenzuela for the last 3 years and shes great. She explains everything in detail, loves to answer any questions, and I never feel rushed. There have been times when Dr. V went out of her way to accommodate me. When I need to pick out some new frames the staff is outstanding. Theyve put me in frames that are so complimentary to my face. These guys really know how to pick some great glasses. They also take the time to go over all cost, extra options, what insurance will cover/not cover. Their front desk has been quick, efficient and very courteous. My insurance is VSP so its pretty straightforward and nothing too confusing so maybe thats why I havent had any problems.

After seeing several Doctors prior to my visit to Vision Centers for my vision problems, I explained to the staff at Vision Centers (after 2 people told me to call them) that I really needed someone to address my problem as I knew I wasnt an alien from another planet (so to speak) but I just could not read fine print and I really needed my problem fixed! My dilemma was conveyed to Dr. Fowler and on my first visit he asked me several questions regarding my problem. I was at ease the moment I was in his care. I read books for long lengths of time without any trouble now and Im pleased with my glasses. Thank you!

From initially setting the appointment (for cataract surgery) on the telephone to the greeting as I entered the office; preliminary preparations, testing and examination with the doctor, the level of professional engagement and attentiveness was refreshing and sparkling. One year later, I received a note for follow-up on the surgery and all the same staff with the same professional contact and energy were there. It is uplifting to see everyone in the office continuing, with nary a touch of burn-out or complacency. These folks all seem to exemplify loving their work! Skip Ackler

Dr. Valenzuela did a great job with my exam and understood my specific issues and I felt comfortable with her care. However, every time I have come in, there has been some sort of confusion either with my benefits or my copay or my prescription, etc. It has been a nightmare to deal with them at different times. They seem very disorganized and unwilling to make it easy for the patient. I would recommend Dr. Valenzuela, but Im not sure its worth it to have to deal with the rest of the staff.
