I found Dr. Jack after going to another local dentist. I had received a very expensive estimate at this other place for some work to be done and decided to check elsewhere. I made an appointment at Comfort Dental Green Mountain. When I came in, I noticed the office was well laid out, and I was greeting as soon as I came in. The waiting area is simple, clean and comfortable. After Dr. Jack took a look at the situation, we sat down in a separate room and he explained what needed to be done and what the options were. He also discussed options for payment. I really appreciated this approach. I felt like I was a party to my care, not just a person being told what I had to do. I also really appreciated that Dr. Jack vibrates your cheek when he gives you a shot of Novocaine. This really makes it so you barely, if at all, feel the needle. I personally have a some difficulty with needles and this approach makes it a lot more tolerable. Dr. Jack has a fantastic sense of humor. He jokes around to keep your mind off of what is going on. He also explains what hes doing in a way that is easily understood, but not scary. Some of us arent big fans of going to the dentist, usually due to bad experiences. Im happy to say that even after multiple appointments, I have had nothing but great experiences with Dr. Jack and his staff. My wife and son have also been in multiple times and have also had the same positive experience with Dr. Jack. I was impressed that Dr. Jack is as comfortable working with adults, both young and old, and with children. I highly recommend Dr. Jack and his staff if you need to see a dentist. I will most certainly be a long time patient.

Edit: Called today to schedule an appointment with Dr. Jack, they said he wasnt practicing there anymore and didnt have the information yet for where he moved to. If anyone else knows, Id appreciate it as I need to go in but would prefer to stick with him. Much easier to write a bad review than a good one (especially when it comes to dentists) but the service I received here made me want to help others make a good choice by giving my review. A few years ago I went here for a second opinion and glad I did. There have been a few instances where they have really stood out. The offices are clean, professional and they have always been up front with me. Before going here I was told by another dentist that I would need treatment on a cavity in one of my back teeth, when I went here Dr. Jack told me that it wasnt necessary if I kept up with flossing and general cleaning. So far it hasn’t caused any trouble, just goes to show that they rely on providing quality treatment to run their business and don’t have to rely on doing “extra” work that isn’t necessary. When I had my wisdom teeth taken out here they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable not only with the procedure but with the price and my options. I don’t know why more offices can’t operate like this but so far this is the best dental care I have received and for the best price so I’ll continue to be a customer. Looking at other reviews Dr. Jack Nguyen has already been mentioned but for good reason, so far he has been the only dentist I have used here although the other dentists do seem very friendly.

I was the person that ignored my dental problems until I couldnt bear it anymore. I had been having tooth pain for a few days, and it became concerning. So I bit the bullet and made an appointment at Comfort Dental. When I entered, I was greeted right away by a friendly receptionist. She was more than happy to give me the information about the Gold Plan that they offer, as I do not have dental insurance. When I was called back for my appointment, I was introduced to Dr. Beau Ross. He was so professional and caring and really took the time listening to my complaints. Not to mention that he is very personable. He was very thorough during his exam, and didnt seemed rushed at all. After completing the exam and x-rays, he informed me that all I really needed was a cleaning and a filling. He seemed pretty apologetic about the filling as I had told him that I had never had a cavity before. He made sure that I was comfortable, and stopped frequently during the procedure to see that I was doing ok. He even wished me well as I was paying my bill. Overall, I had a great experience here, and will come back.

I was told that I had decay in four teeth and would need to have four crowns done - were talking thousands of dollars!! This was very disheartening because I take very good care of my teeth. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and was told that my previous dentist must have been mistaken, as there was ZERO decay!! I was also told that numerous people have had the same problem with Comfort Dental - over diagnosing (or just plain making up issues to get your money)! Another VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: This office does not employ a dental Hygienist, he has Dental Assistants do your cleaning, which is bad! Dental Assistants are only legally allowed to polish your teeth and floss them - this is not a cleaning...it is simply a polishing! ALWAYS make sure the dentist employs a hygienist that can do a full cleaning, which includes scraping all the plaque and tarter off your teeth.

Couldnt be happier with my experience with Comfort Dental. Dr. Jack is a very knowable guy and gave his honest and personal experience when asked about if braces would be a smart option or not. Ive had an wisdom tooth pulled, teeth crowned, and fillings done. The crowns and fillings were painless when performed and even after. The wisdom tooth wasnt the most pleasant experience because of how it was orientated but we worked though it. I would recommend any one to Dr. Jack and his staff. It was more than just transactional dentist work, these guys are really looking out for your dental health. They also like to have fun at work dont be surprised to get a few laughs in.

Not a good experience at all. Made an appointment for 7:30am when they open, I was there on time, and they took a patient before me who did not have an appointment. The whole staff comes off very unprofessional. The doctor was rude. Nothing was explained to me and I left there knowing nothing about how I would be treated and without knowing why I was prescribed antibiotics & painkillers (I had no pain). For an office that deals with surgical procedures I have a high standard of expections. I expect a professional appearance as well as thorough understanding as to what needs to be treated and how. I dont trust this office and will be finding a new dentist.

Dr Mortenson kicks ass at what he does. Hands down best dentist Ive gone to, went 5 years away because of bad dentists in the past, finally had the guts to come in. Had a wisdom tooth and another taken out and got more to do but this was the first time I have ever gotten fully numb! Most dentists in the past wouldnt give me enough since I have a tolerance on novicaine. Hes the first one that didnt make me feel bad for needing more, and the first dentist Ive had that didnt absolutely manhandle my mouth. Im very grateful that I got him coming in because my last dental experience elsewhere was horrific. If you go anywhere this place is awesome.
